Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

Nurrahk is an orc who takes honor very seriously, he is mindful of all things that could dishonor him or comrades in the course of their actions. Nurrahk hates ignorant or haughty orcs who like to “throw their weight around” and see themselves as higher above their kin. Nurrahk tends to enjoy company of all races and cultures, provided he receives the same amount of respect that is given.

He actually enjoys traveling to the blood elven territory of Eversong woods, he finds the environment peaceful and much easier in which to collect his thoughts. He always stands up for those in need. If someone were being harassed or assaulted by another, he’d step in to put an end to the conflict.

History

The story of Nurrahk the Blademaster begins in the slave camps of the Eastern Kingdoms. Nurrahks family consisted of a father who he never knew (presumed killed in the camp), A mother who died giving birth, and an only brother who was his twin. Times were tough in the camp for the two young orcs. All seemed hopeless in this harsh world until Thrall came. Thrall, who united the clans, who broke the chains of slavery, and who led the Orcish people across the sea to Kalimdor. There was yet hope for a new beginning...

In Kalimdor the brothers helped to found the cities and villages of the land now proclaimed "Durotar." While the boys worked they listened to stories of the elder orcs, who spoke of great warriors and battles past. One day they heard a story of the "Blademasters." Orcish warriors quick as the wind, loyal to the end, and leaders of battle. Upon hearing this, the brothers made a pact for when they grew up they together would become..."Blademasters."

Over the adolescent years the boys trained. They lived in Razor Hill until they came of age, and then traveled to the Valley of Trials to begin on the path to becoming warriors of the Horde. There they met Chief Shirrok and Burskrim of the Ironfang clan, a lesser clan devoted to the Horde. . They spoke with the brothers and convinced them to join their clan after proving their worth. The brothers were tested by battling each other, after a long struggle Nurrahk's brother became the victor. The coming days were harsh, but the brothers persevered together, pushing harder to their goal.

The brothers were now "runts" of Ironfang, the bottom of the ladder. They were tested, strained, pushed to their very limits every day. Forced to fight the other runts in hand-to-hand combat, carry large boulders under the midday sun, and many other various tasks to become forged into weapons of the Horde all in honor of the orcish tradition of Om’Riggor.

One day Shirrok felt it was time the brothers stepped up in the clan, he promoted them to "grunts." Carving the initials “I.F.” into the nape of their necks with a knife to show they were now true brothers of the Ironfang Clan. Now that they were actual "official" members of the clan, Shirrok gave them a task. The task was to ambush an Alliance movement in the southern Barrens. Shirrok gathered the brothers and a few other warriors and they marched upon the southern Barrens with hatred in their hearts for those who dare trespass on their homeland. The battle ensued, to glory the brothers charged. Alas however Nurrahk's brother and many others fell in the battle, and Shirrok ordered a retreat. Nurrahk was crushed by this loss as it was the only member of his nameless family he had left. He carried his brother's remains to Razor Hill, where they had grown up and buried him there, making a solemn vow, that he would achieve their goal of becoming blademaster for the both of them...

As for Shirrok, he returned to the rest of his clan ashamed. Ashamed he had let so many of his brothers and sisters die, and ashamed he let the Alliance spill Orcish blood upon their soil. Burskrim however, was outraged by this. He proclaimed that Shirrok was unfit to lead, he gathered support within the Ironfang clan, and challenged Shirrok to an honor duel. Their battle was fought in the Arena of Orgrammar under the mid-day sun, but in the end Burskrim was the victor, defeating Chieftain Shirrok, and claiming rule of the Ironfang Clan.

Nurrahk returned to the clan after mourning his brother for some time. He returned to find only suffering and despair under the tyrannical rule of Burskrim's iron fist. Burskrim frequently would send warriors to die in the fields of the southern Barrens, and would strain tensions of the clan's few allies. Nurrahk grew tired of his pampas, dishonorable ways, and challenged the Chief Burskrim to a duel. The battle did not take long as Nurrahk was quickly thrashed, by Burskim. Nurrahk lie there in the sands of the arena, humiliated by the loss. He knew he had failed his friends and his brother. He then slipped from consciousness…..

Nurrahk awoke some days later in a small hut somewhere near the coast of Durotar. He met the elderly Orc Gomen, a great blademaster who had pulled him from the arena, and nursed his wounds. Nurrahk told Gomen of his story, his struggles in the camp into the betrayal of Ironfang, and of his brother and their dream. Gomen offered to teach Nurrahk the ways of the blademaster, and Nurrahk accepted without a moment's hesitation. He taught him the precision of the blade, the discipline of mind, the deception of armor, and the gifts of the wind spirits.

Many years past by as Nurrahk and Gomen trained, until the day had finally arrived of Nurrahks final test...Gomen told Nurrahk to seek out the one called Burskrim, and defeat him for the honor of himself and the orcish people. Nurrahk accepted and was off. Nurrahk stormed into the Clan's holdings in Orgrimmar and Challenged Burskrim to one final battle. Burskrim looked as if he had seen a ghost, a very spirit of vengeance, but accepted Nurrahk's terms, quickly finding confidence in his arrogence. They battled for what seemed like ours, through it all however, Nurrahk's speed won the day over Burskrim's sheer strength, and was defeated ending the reign of Burskrim the tyrannical.

The clan begged Nurrahk to return, to lead them, but Nurrahk flatly refused and left Orgrimmar that day...He wondered across the lands of Kalimdor, aiding the Horde in numerous battles. Yet, the lands of Durotar still call to him time and again, to the grave of his fallen brother, whom he had kept his promise to....
