Personality

Being raised in one of the older Great Houses of Silvermoon he has a personality often found among most his kin these days; Arrogant and reckless, he is a fervent royalist and supporter of Kael´thas, with the prince´s "disappearance" he has been uncharacteristically quiet about the subject, rather avoiding it to not attract the wrong kind of attention.

He knows of the blood elves racial superiority and shows it at any opportune, he also recognizes the fact that even if all blood elves are of the noble, high blood, some are more so than others, his respect for the Great houses (especially his own) is almost at a level competitive with his loyalty to the royal line.

History

Nostra´niel is a proud member of the Sol´dues family, one of the Great Houses of the Quel´dorei (as opposed to the more common "lesser" houses which a majority of the elves belong to) he lived a nobles life in full, enjoying the freedom only a spoiled brat have. The only subject his father always pressed was the family´s legacy, holding inspiring speeches of their history and hopeful future. This inspired both Nostra and his brother, Arden´el, to dive into their studies of the sword, politics, arts and of course most importantly, the arcane, with even more passion. And even if Nostra showed his speed with a blade, wonderful colour compositions (figures and shapes was never a strong side and something he avoided), flute play and quick learning of spells his brother surpassed him with raw strength, both at arms and with magic, it was clear from an early age that the brother was destined for a magister post while Nostra´s fate was more uncertain. He was good in many fields, but could never really master one, or if he did, it was such a narrow part that it never mattered (his ability to find various tones of purple was amazing, for instance).

It wasn´t until he encountered the Aegis that he found something to focus on, quickly signing up he was assigned to one of the recruit regiments, but not for long. When his relatively impressive magical prowess was discovered (seeing as a majority of the others came from lesser houses in hard times or even worse, scum without a true house that wasn´t too much to note in large scale) and more importantly, his fine bloodline, he was reassigned to one of specialized units, the spellbreakers. Here he furthered his studies both with a blade and spells, with a focus, of course, on countering and breaking the enemies magic.

The wars saw him turning from a impatient brat to an arrogant warrior and noble, though far from the most suitable he was chosen to lead a squad of his comrades in support of Alliance footmen, most likely this was thanks to both blood and his father´s gold. Something that came clear whenever they did battle, often he would ignore his human allies to focus on getting to the enemy warlocks and necrolytes, eager to counter and absorb their magic before killing them, although the killing part was often landed on one his lessers shoulders since Nostra was busy "countering" the spells the arcanists mumbled in their defense.

Over all, life was easy for Nostra, his father, a (rather bland) painter on a quest to find the true form of magic and put it on canvas, provided for all his material needs, his mother, soothing his vainity with fancy clothing from her own bottique and his brother fueling his competitive spirit through his quick rise within the magisters´ ranks.

Nothing really changed until the Scourge came, slaughtering and burning their way through Quel´thalas. The newly discovered addiction filled Nostra´s thoughts constantly together with a lust for retribution and when Kael´thas assembled the elves he was quick to join his army to strike back at the undead hordes. It was here that Nostra hardened and earned most of the many scares you can see on him today, fighting furiously he soon abandoned the stereotypical breaker´s blade in favour for a more close-quarter oriented sword.

Nostra and his brother both accompanied Kael to Outland after the Human´s and their "Alliance´s" betrayal, reveling in the nurturing magic and arcane torrents of the land. But for neither of them it was enough, Arden´el turned to demons and the dark arts of warlocks and Nostra followed the squad who transported the captured Naaru to Silvermoon, there he took up the mantle of the Blood Knights, leaving the Aegis and the spellbreakers for this more stable magical source, however, it didn´t pass a day without him visiting one of the newly installed Demon Stones, draining more energy from the fel source.

It was not more than a few days before the prince and his new, transformed servants came to move the Naaru that Nostra´s father uncovered his "masterpiece", a portrait of Kael´thas which, his father proudly explained to anyone who would listen, must be the true incarnation of the arcane! The events at the Sunwell and with the Shattered Sun movement not only put a damper on many (but far from all!) of the blood elves love for their prince but also on their Great House´s reputation within the city, this coupled with the news that Arden´el had been one of the Fel elves eventually drove the remnants of the house to a secluded spire on Sunstrider isle.

Nostra, however, decided to remain in the city, hopefully protected from snide comments by his blood and membership of the Blood knights, to fight for what he thought as just and right. He, like many others cheered at the news of the Sunwell´s restoration, and just like so many others, it didn´t stop him from visiting the Demon stone gardens to take a few extra sips or buying some crystallized mana for an extra surge. He strongly opposed Lady Liandri´s oath to the Naaru, arguing that it was only binding for herself, and not whole order, this made his position as a Knight even more unstable, and for the moment he tries to lie low, holding his tongue in a tight leash regarding subjects such as the royal line. He still refuses to honour the Naaru and the light though, standing his ground to only fight for the Sin´dorei, Quel´thalas and the Great Houses of Sol´dues and Sunstrider.
