Appearance

Nitram most commonly wears dark clothing with a large icon sown to the back of his shirt showing he was once working as a medic in the military. He keeps away from armor any heavier than a light leather armor that might hinder his movement. He also has a shoulder bag that never leaves his sight that he has stocked with a large quantity of different medical potions, powders and the like. Also a large collection of different knives strapped to his belt along with his handgun, a simple sidearm. Around his neck he has a long dark blue scarf that also acts as a face mask if needed along with a pouch of strong smelling herbs that dampen his undead smells but make his smell like a medical cabinet filled with old and stale medicine.

Other: Nitrams outward appearance makes him look semi alive as there aren't any scars visible from underneath his clothing so from a longer distance he might be seen as alive but would easily stand out as undead when seen closer than a stone throw away, a long stone throw away. Under his clothing he has several scars, the most notable being a Y shaped scar on his chest, almost looking like he was dissected by someone. He also is missing his upper right canine and some other teeth look like they were very unskillfully filed to be sharper, most of the teeth are chipped because of that.

Personality:

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Nitram is mostly a calm individual for as long as things go as he wants them to but is easily angered when something even hints going awry. He is also rather moody to the point of schizophrenia as he might sometimes flip the switch and turn from calm person to a blood grazed psychopath. The emotional scars collected from the war is thought to be the reason for that. As for why Nitram still acts as a medic is largely unknown as he hates to talk about it. The truth is that he is just sticking to what he knew when he was still alive and because he enjoys working on people. Sometimes a little too much.

History

Nitram was raised by his parents for the first 5-6 years of his life but he was placed in an orphanage when the family was no longer able to support a family bigger that two people. He remembers little about his true parents other than that his parents owned a tiny farm where they worked.

At about the age of 8 Nitram was adopted by a young couple who took him in and even though they weren't his true parents they seemed to love him even more for it. From his his foster parents he learned many things. For example his father taught him a lot about medicine and biology while his mother, who was experienced in alchemy, told him a lot about the plants that grew out in the wild.

Living an easy life with his new foster parents Nitram took up the trades his foster parents had and soon started to show great interest in the medical fields. Spending most of his time studying he lacked the physical strength that most children his age had and as such got bullied rather often. When the bullying got too much for him he just stopped going out entirely and fixated more and more on his study's.

When he was 18 his father started to teach him about firearms as it was clear that Nitram would not win in a common brawl. He started to train with his foster fathers handgun apply named the "pea-shooter" due to it's small caliber and overall lack to punch trough anything.

Over the time he also started to open it up and then fix it again. That gave him some idea of how it works and gave him the slight edge whenever the gun would jam.

At the age of 22 he joined the city-guard as a on field medic in case a priest or healer was not around. During the years to follow he had little trouble helping out the people as the most serious injuries he had to treat were the occasional wolf attack victims or a resident falling off a ladder so it was a mighty shock to him when the news of the Scourge started to travel around the land.

At first he didn't heed any attention to it but when the scourge started to threaten his little city things took a sharp turn to him. The town guard built barricades and mustered a defense to hold the city but the waves of the undead were relentless. At first the militia and the like were able to hold off the undead outside but soon the hordes crew and pushed the people into the city.

What came to pass were the most horrific times of his short life. Understocked and short handed He had to do his best to help the soldiers. As he was not used to seeing so severe wounds on people before the war he soon started to spiral downwards. He started to talk to himself and begun to grow distant from other people. He also grew fearful of the fights as he saw exactly what happened to the lucky/unlucky who survived and thus started to carry a gun with him always.

Some of the soldiers started to worry about his health when he stopped eating and sleeping altogether but as he was the most experienced in helping ease the pain of the wounded or fix a broken bone they could not exactly send him away. What they did not know was that Nitram was culminating many mental scars and was standing on the edge of breaking.

The “snap” happened during night in an encampment where several wounded and dying were brought for him to help. It was all going as usual when suddenly many of the wounded started yelling for help. Thinking that some of the undead had managed to sneak trough to the tent several knights were quickly sent in to take them out. What they saw was not what they expected.

Nitram was standing over one of the soldiers and carving out bits and pieces of him. Up to his elbows in blood and grinning maniacally he kept dissecting the soldier repeating something about making him better. Without missing a heartbeat the knights who were sent to the tent attacked Nitram.

The first knight attempted to cut Nitram down but missed, leaving only a cut on his chest. The knights say that Nitram was acting like a madman during the whole time, he kept bouncing around the tent spewing out words about how he wanted to improve and make better the soldiers who were hurt. He was finally killed when one of the knights managed to stab him right in the chest. To seal the deal he swung downwards cutting up Nitrams stomach down to his bellybutton. Some people say that even the undead didn't dare go near his corpse when it was thrown out of the encampment along with the carved up soldier.

He was soon raised by the necromancers and, in much irony, was sent back into the city with the rest of the undead hordes to wipe the place off the face of the earth. Not sure how much time had passed Nitram finally regained his free will, fleeing to Undercity where he resided for quite some time.

Even though not very sure how he got there he still went in. Sure enough he was filled in about what had happened and what was his condition. He then decided to stay in Undercity for the time working with the Deathstalkers because he had little luck working as a medic there. But soon he set out to wander the world for no real reason other than to find a place where he could use his medical knowledge to help the needy. And who knows, maybe find something to improve his "work".

Skills and Abilities

Trained with Firearms: Nitram has moderate training with firearms witch he uses whenever possible. Usually to start a fight or whenever he manages to put some distance between him and his target.

Medical Training: Nitram is trained in the field of medicine for as long as he cares to remember. That mixed with his training in herbalism makes him a very effective medic on the field when no priests are present.

Speed: Nitram considers his speed one of his greatest strengths, because even when his opponent has the upper hand in a fight he can use his reflexes to move away from at-least a few strikes.
