Personality

Alignment: -

Cold, heartless and cunning unless you are a Kaldorei. Niarrin does what she believes is best, regardless of what an human society believes. (She's actually following night elven society just fine.) Society is merely something that gathers all the merchants together when you run out of supplies, in big stone cities for which Niarrin has little love for. Darnassus would be this elf her sole exception, of which she admittedly sometimes frowns at the size of it. Despite having little love for cities, she ventures towards ruins occasionally to seek out any forgotten knowledge they may held at a time, or possibly even still hold.

Niarrin does not believe in equality for all races, and as such hates all but her own race without a question. A hatred that has always been deep inside her emotional character and is not one that could be considered fixable. It's to the point of extreme, and Niarrin would follow no laws (except for Night Elven which would ask -huge- restraint of her) when traitors or enemies are in sight. As such she avoids neutral towns entirely, for she most likely would go on a purge with her weapons.

Her faith in Elune could be described as up to the level with priests. She spends as much time training herself, as she does with praying and discovering Elune's way. This has made her much of a religious zealot even by Kaldorei standards, and Niarrin quickly judges those who do not share her views as ignorant, plain stupid or even traitors. Her faith for Elune has become twisted however, as Niarrin firmly believes that the only way to balance the lands is by purging all others. When night elves solely rule Azeroth, the lands can be restored. She would go to incredible lengths to weaken the other races, believing it strengthens her own. The only allies she needs are Night Elven, and she plans to find them wherever they may have ventured to. After all, surely those fighting in Elune's name to restore the lands are those subject to her blessings. Each wound Niarrin makes on her enemies, is a wound made by Elune. Each kill she makes in combat, is in Elune's name.

On top of that all, Niarrin can be quite loose when her trust is won. She's one who keeps most of herself to herself, and as relationships grow she opens up more and more. Those who stand beside her are valued almost as much as Elune, and while casualties are inevitable, she makes sure it is not a casualty due to traps. Always observing the area, Niarrin keeps her allies and enemies close in combat. A pleasuring shiver going over her spine each time her blade cuts down an enemy, almost to the point of ecstasy. Those who deserve it, will actually meet a kind, caring and concerned Night Elf over time. Just do not bring up the other races, for they are inferior.

She is very stubborn with her views however, and anyone of her race not slaying their racial hatreds at sight is considered an traitor or weakling in her eyes. She believes the other races to be a pest, a plague which ruins nature, while minor attempts have been made, nothing can restore the lands but the Kaldorei. And without one hesitation, this sentinel would give her life for her homeland and brethren in the flash of a second. No doubts, no regrets.

History

Born and raised for hundreds of years in Darkshore, Niarrin grew accustomed to the smell of the sea and the port city. The gloomy and stormy climate, made for an home alongside her family and fellow Kal'Dorei and was luckily for her, born in an area of little war. She grew up quickly and healthy despite the environment, and over the years began to like it more and more.

As tradition, she was quickly put upon the path of the Sentinels when the time had arrived. Without a word of objection through-out her life, Niarrin shifted from growing up and playing around, to growing up, working hard and training till exhaustion. She never gave a word of objection, as the simple fact was that she liked it. She was serving a greater good, a greater fighting machine.. She was serving the Sentinels, and with that, her race and nation. (Year -176| 400)

Her days consisted of simple hunting, scouting, patrolling and chores. Still growing up and still learning, the elf started to receive urges to explore about and due to it went exploring on her own at times. Some saw it as an neglect of duties, others merely saw it as the jumping of an young one.

Eventually, she knew the area from the inside out. And while growing up, she started to let go of her playful nature. Gradually turning more serious and patient, Niarrin simply followed her duty as Sentinel and did it with all of her hearth. Her living wasn't bad, and seemed quite peaceful and tranquil, she simply did her training turning better and better, but for what? (Year 10 | 590)

That question stayed in the elf her head for a long while, until eventually she learned what her skills were worth. The battle of Mount Hyjal, after hundred and hundreds of years of training her skills where tested. A test she passed as she stood along side her sisters and brethren, and succeeded in defeating the legion. While the decision of uniting was forced upon her, she never got rid of the bad taste in her mouth the other races left her. She had seen the destruction with her own eyes, and with a twist of the mind, blamed anyone but her own race. (Year 25 | 605 )

The news of her immortality had been given, but Niarrin didn't quite realize it until a few weeks later. Waking up in the midst of the night, her heart raced through her chest. "Just a dream." she whispered, shaking her head before slowly dressing back up and moving out of the tavern. The next hours, she could be seen idly gazing at the moon for as long as the night still had it. Eventually, as it lowered down into the sea, Niarrin made sure she had her things and rode off.

The next five years she spend travelling before returning to her elven home town. She had used the time to clear her head, (And when visiting Winterspring she had made a new friend.) but even though her immortality was gone, her life would still be in service of The Sentinels. Nothing would change that fact. (Year 30 | 610)

And now, for the last two years Niarrin had been stationed at the Ashenvale woods. A lot of changes had happened over the years, and the woods once peaceful where now threatened. Orcs and their damn need for lumber, the mere though of the greenskins cutting down her beloved woods made her shiver. However, for the past two years she has been playing on the defensive side. Feeling that must change, Niarrin has started making plans to flip the coin the other way. If Ashenvale can't immediately be taken, other areas will be to get those greenskins out of their woods. The Sentinels have their hands full themselves, so now, she wanders the lands in search of her sisters and brethren to unite them. To unite the Kaldorei once more, and to fight back these pested green abominations.

Peace can only be achieved through war. War brings casualties. Spill the lands with the blood of your enemies, weaken the unworthy, restore what once was. The Kaldorei shall rule again. Power through blood, balance through blood, victory through blood. (Year 29 | 613)

Skills and Abilities
