Appearance

Nehja prefers to be armored for a majority of her time, even off of the battlefield. She often wears heavy plate or mail, with function far above fashion, and favors helms that hide her face for whatever reason. I doubt even she could tell you - it's just a problem she has, really. A wrench usually sits at her belt, with goggles slung around it beside them, though it's hard to say when she ever actually -wears- them.

Personality

Nehja keeps her distance from most people. That isn't to say she's uncivil - she enjoys a drink or fight just as much as the next Orc and, when appropriately approached, can be personable. (In this case, appropriately approached is relatively akin to "plied with several high-quality ales.") However, assuming she's entirely sober, she tends to speak last and strike first, and looks out for her personal honor before anyone else's glory. She's got this dream of hitting the top of the heap, you see. And she won't mind tearing you down to get there.

On the odd occasion she is forced to engage in conversation, she specializes in crude jokes and blabbering on about exactly what can be made with metal, a fire, and some serious elbow grease. It is generally accepted that getting her on the latter subject is an awful idea, as it tends to result in her not shutting up for several minutes or, at the least, pulling out a bomb to display with a prideful grin and a match not far away. Fortunately for the rest of you, getting her to speak at all requires some concerted effort and, at the least, mild acquaintance. As it stands, you're just competition. No use getting chummy with the competition, right?

History

Nehja was born barely a year after the majority of her race was shipped to human internment camps. Her memories, though, are not spent in horrific camps, but rather in the snows of Alterac Valley. Her parents were rather simple Orcs; her father was a talented blacksmith, her mother a shaman of meager ability. Underneath the guiding hand of her clan, she grew up practicing the oldest ways, blissfully hidden from the terrors that lurked outside of the Valley.

Her time spent in the Valley was peaceful, if boring. It was there she learned how to handle a blade, to a minimal extent; it was also there that she discovered that she rather enjoyed using one. As she aged and honor became a greater factor in her life, it became quickly apparent that her greatest ambition was to be revered for her honorable bearing and her prowess in battle – which she still strives for today, even if it does have an awful tendency to lead her down the wrong road.

Few woes plagued her childhood. Even in youth, she was reserved; though her numbers of friends were limited to one or two, there was little trauma to scar her. When Thrall came to beg assistance in freeing his people, she was much too young to fight; when he left a shaman, she was still just barely under the unspoken cutoff. The thought plagued for her many years to come – it's quite likely she's still bitter about it today, between you and I. She was, however, old enough to fight in the Third War, and did so – it is rare she speaks of her experiences there, simply because she has very few tales of valor to tell beyond hitting anything vaguely resembling a zombie for many long months of panic. There is little else to be said for it.

When the New Horde was formed, Nehja found herself strangely without a purpose. She defended her clan's valley, yes; she slayed Alliance, yes; but none of it brought her the glory she sought. So now she wanders, serving the Horde first and whoever can bring her what she so craves in a very close second. The danger comes then – where does one proceed the other?
