Appearance

Neera usually wears lighter armor, and usually carries two one-handed swords.

Other: Neera has some knowledge in engineering, but she is more at home fighting with blades than with bombs. Although she is a Gnome, and therefore quite small, her skill makes up for her size in melee combat.

Personality

Neera can be somewhat of an A-hole, especially to races other than Gnomes. She resents most of the Alliance because she feels that they should have been helping their supposed allies, despite the fact that the Gnomes are the ones who decided to deal with the attack against Gnomeregan on their own. She is very dedicated and determined. When Neera does put her mind to something, it usually ends up happening.

History

Ever since she was young, Neera knew that engineering was not for her. She learned to assemble parts and build some types of machinery, but her heart was not in the work that so many of her peers chose. Instead, she learned how to fight, in case the Gnomes could ever help their allies in their great wars, or the city somehow came under attack. Neera fell in love with close melee combat, and trained for many years to become a worthy warrior.

When the Troggs first attacked, Neera was excited to put all the skills she had learned over the years to good use, but she quickly realized that the struggle was hopeless. Neera decided she had to flee the city, even if it meant leaving many of her close friends and family members to die at the hands of the brutal Troggs.

In Ironforge, Neera brooded for a long time. She was disgusted by her decision to flee, and she kept thinking over and over again that she should have fought and died with the people she had loved. Her dark moods became more and more common, and she stayed away from people for the most part. Neera decided that she had to stop being lazy and start fighting to take the city back. Since Neera was no leader, she joined any and every effort, small or large, that was trying to help fight the lepers and Troggs, but nothing she tried really went anywhere until she joined the Gnomish Special Forces.

The Gnomish Special Forces (GSF) was an elite military group that had about five or six members when Neera joined. As the group grew in popularity, interest in reclaiming Gnomeregan and recruitment for the GSF were at an all-time high. It seemed that every Gnome from every walk of life wanted to help in the effort, which was as it should be. After a few attack missions, they took over the surface around Gnomeregan, where the leader worked on building a steam armor suit for himself and on winning High Tinker Mekkatorque's help. Both of these goals were eventually achieved, and missions into the city itself began.

Soon after the first sections of the city were retaken, Neera was promoted to an officer of the GSF for her dedication to the cause, and for being one of the first Gnomes to answer their call for skilled fighters. A few successful missions later, and things started to take a turn for the worse. People felt the war was already won, and they left. People stopped joining. General hype about the effort plummeted. Soon after that, the leader and one of the most trusted officers died in battle, leaving Neera as the leader of the Gnomish Special Forces. With less help from Mekkatorque and two of the best strategists lost, Neera and her GSF were unable to recover much new ground, though fortunately they did not lose any. She is now busy thinking of strategies to rekindle interest in the Gnomeregan war effort and retake the city once and for all.
