Personality

Johnathon Irus at first appears calm, trustworthy, and nice. This, however, is only because he is a manipulator. He enjoys spreading chaos, and if he ever got the power to engulf Azeroth in flames, he probably would. Approach this man at your own caution, because he might just decide to murder you simply for looking at him funny. However, he is extremely paranoid and insecure. He gets depressed when people talk bad about him, and is prone to locking himself away for days on end.

History

Mordus was born as Johnathon Irus to a father named Sid, and a mother named Abby. His parents were both mages, so he grew up in Dalaran. He started studying the arcane at a very young age, and many of his tutors, while impressed with his enthusiasm to learn, though him mediocre at best. It was his sister, Mariah, who recieved all of the praise, for she seemed much more talented. However, he began to hear rumors of the darker magics, shadow and fel. His parents barely paid him any attention, and as a result he became lured by the dark arts, and when he turned fourteen, he left Dalaran to learn these secrets.

He was absent for much of the Third War, learning from a human warlock named Barthamus in the Alterac Mountains. When he heard of the destruction of Lordaeron, Dalaran, and Quel'thalas, he laughed, knowing that they all fell because the people of those nations were weak fools. However, he was quite angry when he heard his parents had survived.

A bit after the Third War, him and his master made their way into the ruins of Dalaran, and looted many ancient tomes on the dark arts.

After sixteen years learning from Barthamus, he decided that he was powerful enough to learn the remaining secrets of the dark arts on his own. One night, he murdered his sleeping teacher, now an old man. He transfered his teachers possessions to him, from every dark artifact to every tome about the dark arts his teacher had.

A few months later, he returned to his parents estate in Alterac. After eating dinner and catching up with his parents, he revealed that he hadn't gone away to travel abroad, and in fact, had become a warlock. He was hoping to make his parents proud with his powers, but they were terrified of him and said they should have never of had him. So, he did what any reasonable person would do in this situation, and killed his father while making his mother watch. Then, he forced his mother to write her will, which gave everything over to him, before finally killing her.

When his sister found out her parents had died, she suspected something. But Johnathon's tricks were not just done. He dominated her mind, and she became his slave.

Recently, he decided to see a bit of the world, to test the waters so to speak. He disguised himself as a rogue, and got associated with many people in Booty Bay. However, he eventually decided he had had enough. Annabelle Greene was suspicious of him, probably close to figuring out what he really was. He killed her, although she was soon resurrected.

Then he faked his own death.

Now, he has recuperated, and his plan to ruin Azeroth is ready.
