History

Born and raised in Gilneas, he lived as a petty pickpocket in his youth, he was later on caught and disowned by his parents. After which he renounced his heritage and made a name for himself. Conning his way into the school system he studied to make something out of himself. He got an interest for the occult and for alchemy whilst studying, and made the two his prime subjects. The occult would encapsulate anything from old folk tales, to the powers of the arcane, to the corruptible fel energies, to dark and loathsome beings that hide in the shadows of Azeroth. Of course, he would have to seek out other ways to learning more about some of these subjects. Which ended with him digging his hands into the darker underbelly of Gilneas. Speaking and learning under warlocks hiding in plain sight, attending secret meetings under the church, and procuring books in under the table trades. Magic fascinated the lad. Outside of school however, he continued with his most favored of hobby; Thievery. He was quite adept and managed to never get caught. Well except once, just before the outbreak, Mordecai was apprehended during a burglary and was soon imprisoned. However when the worgen outbreak happened, he escaped as one of Crowley's men, always being a supporter of his work. When thins had settled he was called on to assist the alchemist in coming up with a cure, as he was one of the few capable alchemist left. But the moment he heard that the wall had been broken, he knew that he had to get out! Since they would undoubtedly imprison him again after this was all over. So he found one of the wild worgen and made it his own personal experiment. He soon modified the Others formula and injected the beast, to give him just enough of a civilized mind without harming his beastly savagery. Using this worgen as his closest ally he soon snuck out of Gilneas and ventured out into Azeroth. There he continued his thieving and lying ways, amassing a wealth in his secret hideaway, and slowly recruiting members to his own guild of thieves; The Candlelight Society. Building a small empire of crime. Just as he always dreamed.
