He is an extremely driven individual, stemming from his family background. Almost always bounding full of energy and eager to meet new and interesting people. When the drinks come out, his personality flips from hyper-happy do suppressed depression, mostly from all the short jokes which have been cracked over the years. His solution to the problem seems to just drink more and drink it all away!

History

Monide was the youngest of three brothers in his family, and always seen as the sibling who wouldn't, or couldn't, amount to much. As such a lot of his early years were spent simply exploring everywhere he could, or simply staying idle and thinking. Often found wandering Gnomeregan simply looking and exploring whatever interested him.

Despite being content with his large amount of free time to explore and think, when his family was evacuated out of Gnomeregan, his life took a quick change. As life had become difficult for his family, his parents refocused their attention for the first time onto him. Suddenly, and to him for seemingly no reason, they began to push him to start tinkering and working on an invention. Or at least get a job. As he never picked up a wrench before, Monide went to search for a job throughout Ironforge and Stormwind.

His first (and last job) lasted him about two years, where he was an assistant at the Alchemy Needs shop in Stormwind. Mostly moving chemicals and the like or stocking shelves. The work was good and relaxing with plenty of time to think, which Monide enjoyed immensely.

Four months as an assistant ended up changing him a bit when he was given a pack and told to deliver them to a mage named Merrick. When Monide arrived to deliver the goods to Merrick in the mage tower, he was greeted with a rather flustered old human setting up an alchemy set on one of the spare tables. Upon seeing Monide, Merrick told him to finish setting up as he started to prepare the chemicals. Shrugging, Monide started to fiddle with the various tubes and beakers, and set them up in the way that made sense to him. Sadly this seemed to only confuse Merrick further who ended up resetting and rearranging the whole thing again anyway.

For the next few hours Monide assisted Merrick with with making some unknown concoction, but he was hooked. Although with the need to hold down a job (which he almost lost because he vanished for a couple hours), he was unable to pursue an apprenticeship. Scrapping together what money he could save over the next few months, and with a bit of ‘creative discounting' he was able to assemble his own small alchemy set. Whenever there was an accidental extra order that came in, or herbs to be thrown out, Monide would snag them for his own personal use. Experimenting and pouring all his mind into his new found passion, his family began to notice that he was absent much longer than usual and sometimes coming home with troubling burns. Finally one day when Monide was adding a condensed mixture of Swiftthistle and strangelkelp to a heated beaker, the mixture expanded so quickly it effectively ‘exploded'.

Luckily his face and eyes were covered, but his hair wasn't so lucky. With his hair died bright green, which eventually dried into makeshift dreadlocks, Alchemy Needs learned that he was pocketing all of the thrown out herbs and chemicals. Out of a job, his parents were furious and demanded he get a new job. He informed them that he wanted to pursue alchemy, or at least engineering. Sadly he was forced to start working dead end jobs as unskilled labor and continue with work.

Over the next six years Monide continued his unskilled labor employment and began to focus on engineering, leaving alchemy aside. After his 38th birthday, Monide took his savings and quit his job before simply leaving from his family. Moving into Dun Morogh where he became obsessed with earning his surname through some invention. All the insane ideas and ruminations from his early years pushed back into inventing, Monide created several gadgets, although mostly useless. A rust resistant wooden box, self heated chain mail (which was a total failure), and the ever-hot tea mug which would also keep the outside forever hot.

Two years later, Monide's funds ran out to support his engineering habit, to which he moved back out into the world in search of work again.

End of history. This point Monide joined The Frostbrand Marines as a technician.
