Character Full Name: Miruka Moonshroud

Character In-Game Name: Miruka

Nickname(s): Dr. Moonshroud, Miru

Association(s): Darnassus

Race: Kaldorei

Class: Priest

Age: 300

Sex: Female

Hair: Deep blue that reaches the middle of her back. She typically keeps it in a loose ponytail to keep it all out of her face.

Eyes: They've been called "truesilver white" once.

Weight: 206lbs. She's so light, in comparison to many of her kind, that even weaker folks might be able to hoist her over their shoulders with little issue.

Height: 6' 8". The poor dear is as average as they come.

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Miruka travels around in robes. They can be any color, as long as there's some sort of blue splashed onto them. She always wears gloves, for sanitary purposes. She usually has a hooded cloak with her to shield herself from inclement weather.

Other: Miruka has a youthful face, which probably will stay with her for the rest of her life. Her markings resemble the jagged wings of a butterfly, and are a burgundy color.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Personality: First thing one probably notices, by watching her interact with others, is that she has a stoic interior behind her gentle face. She puts up a brave and observant exterior in front of others to keep up with being the "good doctor", though it's not that difficult to break. She blushes easily, and it's not difficult to make her nervous. She fidgets with her hands, even when they are holding something. She's not exactly naïve, but even having knowledge of certain things she is still embarrassed by it. Despite being doctor, which is a rather social profession, she is awfully shy. Once you interact with her long enough, however, she'll relax and start talking more often.

This isn't saying that she has 100% control of her emotions. When harassed and pushed far enough, she will go into a ranting, nagging state and all around lose her cool. She tends to ramble during these rants, though it is somewhat easy to get her to shut up. She will always feel guilty about these bursts of anger, and will be quick with her apologies. She is painfully polite, and will succumb to a fit of apologizing for everything if one lets her.

She feels she is destined to care for others, and it shows with the professions she chose to take on. She refuses money for her services, and will take on nearly any patient. She is the same way when someone asks for her services as a Priestess. Miruka has a hard time allowing others to care for her, and uses her fussing over others to hide from her problems.

She is a fiercely loyal individual and, unfortunately, rather easy to manipulate on an emotional level. She will do anything for her friends, even trapse through felfire to save them. Oddly, probably due to her upbringing, she has a tendency to choose the loner route. It won't be until friends come up to her will she allow herself to go along with their adventures.

History

Before Miruka was born, Corana Moonshroud had a very destructive daughter named Naila who also refused her affection. Eventually Corana nearly despaired in her loneliness until her mate, Ruan Starfield, woke up for a brief moment in time. The two spent as much time as she could have before he went to sleep, and so Miruka became a product of loneliness. Corana loved Miruka to the point of smothering, but Miruka still was a happy child. While growing up, her mother taught her how to sew and to sing, something that Naila refused to learn. Miruka became the ideal child to make her mother happy, though eventually she would become the emotional anchor of her mother. One could say that she grew up too fast.

She had a semi-close relationship with her older sister, but it was much the same as with her mother: being the emotional caretaker. Eventually the two would become closer as the years passed, and soon it was like Miruka was the mother of two daughters even before she was old enough to consider having any. Miruka tried her best to keep the peace between her mother and sister, but soon she felt it was best that Naila spent her time more in the military and urged her to join the Sentinels. Miruka only met her father once, and although they had a nice conversation she never had any true attachment to him.

As she got older, she became acquainted with a much older male who refused to use the powers of the moon to heal his patients. The thought of taking care of others who were injured or sick interested her, and quickly she became his apprentice. She took it well, and eventually her mentor taught her how to be a surgeon. That would wind up being her specialty as time went on. Naila became a captain of her own warship, and with her mother's urging Miruka joined the Priestesshood. Miruka then became rather cloistered in the temple, not having much contact with the outside world except with her mother and sister. Life was calm, perhaps boring, but she was happy.

She was surprised to hear that her father had woken up again. He immediately left the safety of Kaldorei lands to fight, as Orcs had invaded Azeroth. She was saddened to see her mother go along, and prayed constantly for their safety. Unfortunately, prayer did not save her parents. While Naila was stone-faced throughout the entire ceremony, Miruka cried during their funeral and was in mourning for months. She saw less and less of her sister, and one day Naila never came back from a patrol. Miruka would have to mourn the loss of another family member as word came in that Naga had attacked Naila's ship and none had survived.

Six months later, Miruka was given a leave of absence from the Temple of the Moon. She went to Auberdine where she set up a doctor's tent. An increasing flow of Draenei traffic from Azuremyst kept her busy, and as fate would have it one ship had a strange guest: a Kaldorei woman ravaged by her time stranded on an island. The poor woman had a terrible disease that had already claimed her right eye and was threatning to spread through the rest of her head. Miruka worked quickly, and was able to save the woman's life. "Mika Mistwalker" was the only thing the woman really said to her. Much of the conversation for the next few days was mostly from Miruka until she woke up to find the mysterious woman gone. Miruka did not ponder much on it, and soon went back to the Temple to continue her studies as a Priestess.

Three years had passed since then. Her superiors felt that she had stayed cloistered long enough, and one Priestess told Miruka to go see Stormwind and Ironforge so that she may learn about her people's new allies. Taking this as an order from Tyrande herself, Miruka put on her best robes and left on a ship toward Stormwind. There, she prayed, she would learn much from the other races.
