Other: With a muscular build, Mikhail appears to be a typical Draenei. However, he is not as strong as some of his brethren when it comes to brute force, but still much stronger when compared to the other races. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in intelligence and grace, moving as if the world was his stage, and he the main actor. In battle, the fluidity of his movements amazes most, who view the Draenei as a rigid and stocky race.

Mikhail always has his armor on, unless bathing or when performing various activities that do not require clothing. Even then, his tools of battle would be situated close by. Mikhail prefers the use of an axe or sword over other forms of weaponry, although, he is equally skilled in the use of all the various types of weaponry. Occasionally, should the situation call for it, he would pick up a shield, also sufficiently trained in its use.

Personality

Mikhail has a very charismatic and bold personality, a natural leader. Nonetheless, he's a good listener, and wouldn't mind taking orders from those whom he respects. Kind and compassionate, he would always be willing to help a person in need, should that person be true of heart. He always believes that there is good in everyone, trusting others easily. However, should one break that trust, the offer of friendship would never be extended to that person ever again. Period. Thus is the seriousness in which Mikhail views the concept of retribution.

With a sharp wit and an even sharper mind, Mikhail loves philosophical debates, and is not quick to anger. He would meet an evil and controversial theory with rational scepticism, and would not be too put off by a recognised evil doer, so long as he is not performing acts of evil. He is also a brilliant tactician, preferring to win a battle due to good strategy rather than by sheer might of force. Overall, he's a person of good nature, and will not shy from a challenge.

However, he has a burning hatred for Orcs, for they nearly wiped out his entire race. He wouldn't attack one on sight though, for he understands that not all orcs have been corrupted, but due to events that have been embedded into his memory, he wouldn't so much as look at an Orc. As for Blood Elves, he was awed at the ferocity which they guarded the Exodar. Thus, he looks to them with a sense of tolerance, although still naturally against their beliefs. As for the other races, excluding the forsaken, Mikhail treats them all as equals, with a special preference for the Night Elves, as they aided his race when they first landed on Azeroth.

History

The birth of Mikhail was a cause for celebration amongst the Draenei, not only because Draenei births were very rare, but also because that he was to come into the world away from the original homeland of the Eredar. The prophet Velen presided over his birth, ushering him into the world. Upon taking his first breath, he was blessed by the Naaru, a blessing the Draenei received when they embraced the Naaru, and fled from the Burning Legion. Thus, those born after the segregation of the Eredar had high hopes and expectations placed upon them.

Despite growing up in constant threat of death, Mikhail took to his education with enthusiasm. He had a zeal for learning, absorbing and understanding complex theories with ease even at a young age. He had a strong passion for the teachings of the Draenei paladins, and thus, they trained him in the ways of the light, as well as the arts of warfare towards the later part of his childhood. He spent over two thousand years learning and training, always relocating to another dimension, pursued by the Burning Legion. As he approached adulthood however, Mikhail started to learn the meaning of peace as his race settled in Draenor.

Then the Orcs attacked.

He was never given a chance to meet the Orcs, for Draenei affairs with them were usually kept to a minimal, and handled by one of high authority. Mikhail always saw the Orcs as friendly peaceful creatures, but all sentiment of that changed when they attacked. Little did he know of the corruption that had seized the Orcs, giving them strength to fight on par with the Draenei. Furthermore, the element of surprise proved to be the most important factor for the victory that first battle, the most deadly attack during the eight year war. In the first attack, Mikhail fought to protect and save his people, filled with a sense of betrayal and anger. His survival that day was a miracle, and slowly, his motivation for fighting changed during the wars with the Orcs.

He fought with courage and valour, but where there was once the need to protect and defend his people, grew the desire for retribution. Where there was once anger, there grew a cold hatred, along with a stronger belief in Justice and the ways of the light. Some say that it was this strong belief in the Light that saved Mikhail, and other Draenei, from the effects of the fel energies wielded by the Orcs. Others attributed the phenomenon to the strength of the body, mind, and soul, which allowed them to repel the taint. Nonetheless, Mikhail wept for those who died, and those who were mutated by the demonic powers of the Orcs.

When the Draenei were nearly wiped out, it was with a heavy heart that Mikhail, and other untransformed Draenei, accompanied Velen to hide in Zangarmash. Mikhail spent the time in Zangarmash meditating, reflecting on all that he had gone through, learning from the mistakes of the past. Personally he was against the retreat, but he had faith in the prophet Velen, and did as he said. After a few long years hiding out in Zangarmash, the Draenei stopped mourning for those lost and mutated, and started heavily consolidating their strength. They knew that they had to escape, for the sake of their entire race.

Then the Blood Elves appeared, as if the plea of the Draenei were answered by Sargeras himself.

This time, Mikhail was not consumed by emotion, he did not feel threatened by the Blood Elves. He had changed, and was prepared for anything, most of all another attack. However, this time, the Draenei decided to take a preemptive approach, storming and taking over a wing of the Tempest Keep called the Exodar. Mikhail slew the blood elves under the servitude of Kael'Thas without a hint of emotion or regret, for his actions served a greater good, the continuity of his people. It was the motivation of survival that compelled the Draenei that day, when they attacked Tempest Keep, and so they saw minimal casualties, if none at all.

However, the Blood Elves were relentless.

When the Draenei were so close to victory, just when hope had returned, events conspired to work against the will of the Draenei. The Blood Elves had sabotaged the Exodar's engine, and thus, when the Draenei tried to planeshift, the engine went haywire, and the Exodar ended up in the lands of Azuremyst Isle. All colour drained from Mikhail when he learned that the engine could not be repaired, and that they were stuck on the new foreign land. Their original plan had been to escape in the Exodar, coming back for those who opted to stay behind once they had found a safe home. However, there wasn't going to be a return trip.

Mikhail did not delude himself with the idea that the Draenei could return to their former glory, an idea adopted by most of his brethren. Then they started making contact with the outside world, and Velen sent delegates to the Night Elves, who welcomed the Draenei. Mikhail still believes in the coming of an Army of the Light, as promised by the Naaru. Thus, he travels the new world, constantly looking for new avenues of knowledge and training, fighting evil and upholding justice wherever possible.
