Other: She has studied extensively in the areas of arcane, alchemy and Divination, dedicating her life to using these three fields to uncover the mysteries of Azeroth and pay homage to her dead family and their work.

Her life's goal is the creation of a modified book, The Three Disciples, that she hopes will be recognized the world over upon completion

To keep up her health and vitality in lieu of Holy Light spells she has poured her time and energy into the creation of a Survival Suit. The suit is nothing more than a cloth layer separating her skin from her clothes, enchanted so as to contain a thin layer of fluids while keeping its rigidity. The fluid she keeps herself basted in is a concoction of elixirs that allow her to remain spry and semi-youthful in her old age. She refers to this concoction lovingly as ‘Broth'.

Years of tinkering with chemicals have singed her eyes, nearly blinding her behind thick cataracts. Foregoing the dull eyeglasses Marjora has opted for Divination spells that give her sight. They have been known to malfunction, thrusting her into blindness, putting the genders of those around her –and inanimate objects- in question and causing colors to shift in uncomfortable ways.

Personality

In the simplest of words Marjora is egotistical, self-serving, insatiable, condescending, sarcastic and megalomaniacal.

But the long form?

Marjora is a scientist above all things. Race, class and creed are not secondary, nor tertiary to her. They are nonexistent, artificial constructs created by an ignorant culture that ignores common bonds (all people are idiots) and emotions (idiocy). To her, there is only the smart and the dumb. Most fall into the latter category. The only race she pays homage to in even the slightest sense is those of the High Elves and, to a lesser extent, the Blood Elves. A High Elf herself for much of her life, she attempts to show genuine compassion towards others of the race, past or present. She usually fails.

She enjoys the pursuit of knowledge, the power of thought that gives her strength over others. To that end, she enjoys and respects any who would assist her in the quest for higher learning. Until, of course, she has learned all she can from them. Like a parasite, she moves from person to person, siphoning any useful knowledge, spells or histories. And when their minds have been plumed she may often revert to experimenting upon their bodies. Test subjects are valuable subjects, after all.

In work, she is driven, blunt and insightful. Any stupid questions shall be answered with a terse glare and a simple, concise –and oft sarcastic- answer. She spends hours, sometimes days working on an interesting problem or valuable potion or spell, thrilling not only in the end result but the journey towards it. She takes her work seriously, yet outside of work she is sarcastic, condescending and restless. When idle she seeks to become un-idle, uncomfortable at rest.

Appearance

She has long since shunned the usual blacks and reds of mourning that her race often wears. It is not out of disrespect; she mourns every morning during her mediation. Yet she prefers a deeper, more mental form of grievance then simply wearing a certain color.

She prefers thick, stain-resistant clothing. Simplistic robes, unadorned and easily mended, are her favorites work clothes. About, she prefers adornment, covering herself in gaudy and glamorous regiments. The only constant is her mask. After years of alchemic research her throat and lungs have been badly damaged. Instead of resorting to the Light for her cures she has stubbornly sought to find her own remedy. She often wears a face mask to both ward away the damaging chill and protect herself from any further lung damage.

History

High Elf. Blood Elf. Marjora has been both. She has lived through wars and plagues, through demon invasions and destruction. She saw the Sunwell fall and be reborn. She has remained distant from the conflict, shielding herself away from the struggles and wars behind books and beakers. Yet one can never remove themselves fully from a nation and a people. Burdened with the nightmares that the Third War has wreaked.

Born to an already large family, Marjora and her brothers and sisters –forming a grand total of eight- set off to follow in their parents' footsteps. Each took on the burden of arcane studies, immersing themselves at a young age in the arts of alchemy, spell weaving and Divination. Fueled by the bountiful Sunwell and spurred by a youthful competitive vigor, the children excelled in their magical studies. In the end, all but two (who eventually favored a warrior's path) became mages.

Marjora was the third most skilled mage of the family, behind her brother Kal'Tanas and sister Amgalas. Amglas was the best at the arcane, while Kal'Tanas excelled at Divination and spell weaving. It was Mariora who excelled at alchemy. The three were inseparable, spending years away from home researching the far reaches of Azeroth. Together the three created the book Kal'Tzud Almah Ratah, or ‘The Three Disciplines'. It contained research on alchemy, the nature of arcane and the arts of Divination and spell weaving. For years the three golden children of the Rubedo family enjoyed a modest fame and notoriety.

Years passed, and things began to grow dark. Two jealous siblings, Felasia and Hermia'la, murdered Kal'Tanas and stole his research notes. They fled Quel'Thalas in hopes of reaching Dalaran to publish the stolen findings for monetary benefit. The family hunted the siblings down and put an end to them. Years later during the Second War two more siblings departed Quel'Thalas to fight for the Alliance of Lordaeron. They were killed in the battle of the Dark Portal, cut down by a hail of archery fire. During the Third War Amgalas led the remaining siblings off to fight to protect Quel'Thalas. It was only Marjora, away on a research trip to Dalaran, who survived the sundering of the Sunwell and the destruction of Quel'Thalas.

Alone, the now elderly Marjora returned to Quel'Thalas, more out of habit then of any real loyalty. She signed on without protest, swearing her allegiance to the new order of Blood Elves. She now considers herself a Blood Elf, setting up research in her old family's home and picking up the pieces of their forgotten research. Drawing from her training with her brother and sister, Marjora set off to continue the family's research, to do what her life has always been about: To sate the insatiable hunger for knowledge.
