History

Maku was born in an internment camp, he was a child born with resentment and hatred. Through the bars guards would kick dirt at him and bang against the bars, echoing noise throughout his cell. Maku spent most days and nights growling at the humans walking by, before falling asleep in a self loathing tantrum. He aspired to get back at them, but he had no means to. He was untrained, young and afraid. This hell he endured went on for years, and became the source of his racism and rage.

One night, large commotion went on throughout the camp as Maku witnessed a glimpse of Thrall and his horde darting through the camp breaking cages, and killing guards. Maku watched closely every swing, and every death in front of him. The battle excited him for its liberation to follow, and his blood that was boiling with anticipation to join the battle. He knew then, he too would become a warrior, he would fight for the liberation of his people. As the gates fell down infront of him, a young Maku watched as the only place he had known was being torn down around him. A green hand extended to the young boy, an Orc woman with dark long braids looked down to him smiling. "Maku, we're free."

Arriving to Kalimdor, Maku stayed with his mother as his father went to war. She always told him honorable stories about how his father was a brave warrior who went to fight with Thrall and the others to serve the Horde. Maku idolized the father he had never met, and took pride after being named after him. He wanted to live up to his father's name and become a proud warrior to help free others as he had been freed. As he got older he left to see what life had to offer, and live amongst the world as an adult Orc. He was still too young and Ill prepared but he left on his own anyway.

As Maku got older he became spiritual trusting his path, and guidance to the spirits. It was these spirits he believes who granted him an ability to be susceptible to nature and its surroundings. He became naturally perceptive and fairly good with animals. As he trained fighting beasts and Thistle Boars over the lands of the Barrens, he also raised and trained a tiger cub named Thunder. His trips frequented him to Ratchet, where his days would be filled with drinking and insulting any non-horde race that walked in. Much to the dismay of others, He also became somewhat addicted to battling in the Arena, to the point of passing out due to exhaustion after a victory. He would go back and forth between these spots beginning to trust others, outside of his comfort zone. He still wouldn't hesitate to insult them though. It was in this arena where he would have violent flashbacks of his childhood, most memories that only came to him in his nightmares.

While he was in a tavern in Ogrimmar drinking, he overheard an Orc talking about Rip'lah and the Far Wolves. Maku was intrigued, he wanting to serve the horde like his father, so he searched Rip'lah out. They met and discussed the business of the Far Wolves, and Rip'lah sent Maku on his first mission. Upon successfully returning, he was a member of the Far Wolves. Maku felt as if he had achieved a new plateau in his life and was determined to bring honor and glory to the Far Wolf clan.

Maku felt like a new Orc, he felt closer to his father, and his pride made him feel stronger. He was given the scalp of the worg he was sent to kill as Rip'lah had turned it into his most cherished possession. Maku, being so in-tuned with the subtleties of nature became the Far Wolf Hawker. He is in charge of taking care of, and training the Far Wolf Hawks. He also must train new wolves to use these hawks to convey their secret messages.

On one return to Ratchet, Maku had come across a Death Knight he was initially intimidated by. Over the following nights, the two had run into each other numerous times. Maku's time spent with this death knight opened his eyes to the racism he had in soul. He respects him and takes his words with much thought and consideration, an Orc who to Maku is only second to Rip'lah himself. Due to Maku being naive and too headstrong at times, the death knight took it upon himself to look after Maku. He worries, because of Maku's ambition he would run head first to his own death. Pleased by by the knight's company, Maku takes advantage of his knowledge and asks him to train him, as his mentor.

Both Rip'lah and the death knight had needs for strong warriors to head to Northrend, believing this is the path the spirits have guided for him. The Far Wolves head to Northrend aiding the horde in the battles of Wintergrasp, shortly before the death of the Lich King they returned to aid in the battles of the Darkspear isles, and eventually went their seperate ways. Years later He and Machk another former Far Wolf set out to revitalize the Clan. Now he leads as Far Wolf honoring the Death knight and Rip'lah moving forward, learning from his mistakes and continuing to serve the Horde.
