Appearance

Often wears a scarf or mask around her nose-to-chin area that extends down to her collar bone, covering from her nost to her throat; wears variety of other clothing, and leather armor if she intends to fight. She also usually carries two daggers with her and several throwing knives.

Other: She is not horribly decayed or gruesome, but has a sewn-together slit on her throat. it seems to have been there since before she was raised into undeath. She has two belts crossing her face in an 'X' that cover her eyes. They go under her hair, and the ghostlight of her eyes glows from behind them. In the history it states she is eyeball-less, this means physical eyeballs of a human, which she does not possess.

Personality

She is rather bitter towards the humans for forsaking her. She considers herself a human, even if she is undead, and is angry that her own people would turn them away simply because she was dead... Well, undead. She has embraced her new life as an undead because of this, forsaking the past as she herself has been forsaken. She still holds a bit of prejudice against her new allies, but is slowly forgetting the differences, as they have accepted her. She might as well do the same for them.

For her own personality traits, she's very laid back about most things and usually just looking for something interesting to happen. She doesn't feel the need to interfere with other peoples' business unless invited to do so, and generally stays out of peoples' ways when she can. She is always wary of people with their weapons out for no apparent reason.

History

Maekada was born into a normal Lordaeron peasant family. She wasn't very wealthy, and was quite the opposite. Her family made only enough money for food and other necessities, her mother a waitress at a tavern and her father a small-time carpenter. She learned little from either of them as she was often left alone at home rather than brought along. When she grew up enough she snuck out of the house during these days and as she was not left any food to eat, she would go to the market and steal food and other things. She quickly became good at it with the aid of a few other street urchins. A lot of these friends she made were caught in the following years. She was forced to see them punished, and it only made her practice more on her abilities as a thief.

When she got older her parents let her leave and return as she wished, their poverty growing worse. She began stealing things to help her family. They didn't question where she got the money, they merely stayed silent when she offered, thanking her by not asking. She began to learn to use daggers and even swords from her boyfriend, another thief she'd linked up with, named Daerik. He was a bit older than her but she found him fascinating and whenever she went out thieving, he was almost always with her.

Soon the Plague of Undeath came to Lordaeron. People were scared, her family included. They knew the rumors of the undead monstrosities killing and spreading their plague through the land. Maekada did more reckless thefts, breaking into homes and stealing valuables. One time, she was caught. The owner of the home was awake and apparently paranoid, having a blade by his bed. He severely injured Daerik, disabling him from the fight, and turn on Maekada, who struggled to get her daggers up, scared. She got them out, ready to defend herself, and the man slashed at her throat, cutting the main arteries. She quickly died from bloodloss. Her body was buried, her eyes cut out by the one she was stealing from, supposedly to be sure she was blind in whatever afterlife she might find. A couple weeks later her hardly decayed body was risen by a necromancer as a zombie of the Scourge. She remembers little except killing her parents, feasting on their throats as they tried to embrace her in their confusion, believing her to still be alive.

Her time as a slave to the Lich King was marked with other such killings, some she remembers, most she does not. As the Lich King's hold over her failed, she felt so confused, so cold, so... Empty. She realized she was dead, she tried to cry and couldn't. She remembered killing, eating, the taste. She remembered the enslavement, the total domination of her entire being by the Lich King. In freedom, she has joined the Forsaken as she has realized that her people would never take her back in this state. She also covered her eyeball-less eye sockets with two crossing belts.
