Personality

Having been raised in the forests of Auberdine, Lura has a rich and fulfilling love for nature. She is a friend to the voiceless; her nearest and dearest in recent years being among the beasts she tames. Hailing from an extremely close-knit family that suffered a great loss years ago when her two sisters were murdered, Lura is highly protective of her relatives. She will avoid discussing their whereabouts or even names with strangers.

This Kaldorei is driven by the notion that Balance is essential for the salvation of a person's legacy and dignity. Therefore, she is known to be honorable and virtuous, often pushing aside her own needs and desires to cater to those about her. As a result, she has a very acute guilt complex and is easily swayed to err on the side of being too helpful. She is often burdened by the world about her, finding acts of cruelty or malice to be detestable and inappropriate. There is an inner strength and conviction that is nearly spiritual hidden within her that comes out every so often in philosophical discussion.

In general, Lura is of a pleasant and agreeable disposition and would best be summed up as selfless.

History

Lura is parented by a loving Kaldorei couple that raised her and her late sisters, Agathe and Francie, in the woods of Auberdine. This overprotective household kept her shielded from the world at large as she was trained in medicinal arts, supported by an understanding of herbalism and alchemy. Never having had much in the way of coin, she grew used to sparse conditions and meager wages.

Lura and her siblings were known for carrying on mischievously and playing games with the boundaries their father attempted to set. This translated into an ill-fated and unchaperoned trip to Booty Bay about five years ago. While there, Lura's careless day-dreaming caused her to lose sight of Aggie and Francie. A rogue gang of Sin'dorei caught them upon the road to Gurubashi and slew her sisters before her eyes. Healing came very slow and at a great price. Lura had to return to Auberdine to confess the truth to her parents and face the proverbial music.

The Indignus clan developed a longheld Rite of Passage whereby they passed along a bearded axe to each heir of the same gender. As such, Lura was to receive her mother's sacred weaponry. While this was to be an honorable act, Lura's sin of defiance caused an exception to be made. She was given the axe and charged with the task of protecting at all costs the defenseless, mute, stranger, or unwanted. Her daily burden to bear would be to think never of her wants, but to value life ahead of personal need or gain. This penance is a closely guarded secret of Lura's and shapes absolutely every action or reaction. To defy this would cost her being ostracized by the relatives she desperately loves.

Charting her course out into the world, Lura is often found lingering around the very roads of Stranglethorn Vale that claimed her siblings' lives.
