Personality

At first glance, Loth'amel comes across as a friendly sort of person who's willing to tolerate or overlook most things. His behavior is very casual and mild-mannered, and he tends to play himself off as something of a slacker who enjoys nothing more than simply sitting back and having a pleasant conversation over a nice, cold drink.

Underneath his affable exterior, however, is a fire that burns within him. A self-disciplined nationalist driven to protect his people and homeland until the end, Loth'amel is determined to see Quel'Thalas rise to its former glory once again.

History

Growing up, Loth'amel enjoyed a rather carefree lifestyle. Most of his family consisted of skilled craftsmen and enchanters who frequently encouraged him to take up their work, but Loth'amel showed little interest in regards to their professions. In truth, he probably didn't have the potential for such a thing anyway. At least, that's what he told himself. Besides, he was much more satisfied with chasing around pretty women and drinking fine wine all day. As far as he was concerned, his life was perfect.

That is, until it was disrupted amidst the slaughter that would soon ensue. Led by the Traitor Prince of Lordaeron, Arthas Menethil, the Scourge marched against Quel'Thalas, defiling the land and cutting down everyone in their path, raising them into the vast ranks of the undead. While others fought tooth and nail to defend their home, Loth'amel looked on in horror. Terrified at the thought of his own demise, he fled from his home in Suncrown Village, abandoning his friends and family to their fate without ever looking back. This decision weighed heavily upon his heart.

After the bulk of the Scourge forces left Quel'Thalas, Loth'amel returned to the aftermath, witnessing the devastation firsthand. Immediately, he was overwhelmed by remorse, grieving for those he had left behind to suffer. Because of his cowardice, he survived, but everyone and everything he knew was gone. It was then and there that he vowed to eradicate the Scourge menace from Azeroth and safeguard his people no matter the cost.

Guilt wasn't the only thing troubling him though. With the destruction of the Sunwell, Loth'amel, along with the rest of the newly dubbed Sin'dorei, began to suffer from symptoms of withdrawal. His ties to the mystical fount had been severed, and he was dying. Desperate, like many others, Loth'amel saw no other option but to indulge in the siphoning of demonic energies, a choice that would forever be reflected in his eyes.

As he recovered, Loth'amel sought to fulfill his promise made to those that he had forsaken. In doing so, he discovered the recently established Blood Knights and decided to join their order, believing them to be able to further his cause. While among them, he trained rigorously day after day, honing his skills in combat and learning to bend the power of the Light to his will. However, as he progressed through their ranks, he began to feel at unease with their methods. Despite his doubts, he persisted to remain a part of the organization. It wasn't until after the restoration of the Sunwell that Loth'amel ultimately decided to resign from his position.

Following his falling-out with the Blood Knights, Loth'amel continues to uphold his oath by using his Light-given strength to aid those in need and seek retribution against the undead, hoping to atone for his past.
