History

Lohtao was born in a Tauren tent city in The Barrens. His people were nomadic and because of this, Lohtao spent most of his childhood and adolescence migrating throughout The Barrens. From a young age, Lohtao had subtle druidic abilities that have gone unexplored because Tauren druidism had been forgotten long ago. His father was an experienced hunter who taught Lohtao how to track animals in the wild and how to survive in the harshest environments. Lohtao's mother was an herbalist who taught him all about the many plants of The Barrens along with how to use them to create medicine. Lohtao's life was very enjoyable and fairly peaceful, however distant talk of the increasing attacks by the Centaurs have always caused tension among the tribe.

Later in Lohtao's adolescence, tragedy struck when his father's hunting party was struck by a Centaur raid. The entire party was killed during the attack, including Lohtao's father. This loss haunted Lohtao for a long time; his carefree life had become one of fear and uncertainty. He kept his mourning and suffering to himself; he needed to be strong for the sake of his mother. The Barrens have become an increasingly dangerous place; the Centaur raids have become more and more frequent and the tides have turned against the Tauren. Everyday was a struggle to survive, but Lohtao tried to keep as much normalcy as he could, he spent his days cautiously doing his chores and spending his remaining time with his mother. Just when things were at their worst, a miracle came in the form of Orcs who came to the aid of the Tauren and, together, the Centaurs were warded off.

Lohtao and the other Tauren had been safely relocated to the plains of Mulgore with the aid of the Orcs. Lohtao and his mother had settled in the area known as the Red Cloud Mesa. A permanent village was created, and Lohtao had a place to call home.

He lived a normal life for only a few months when he had been approached by druids of Thunder Bluff. Druidism in Taurens had been recognized increasingly since Hamuul Runetotem had come back from a journey to Moonglade. As it turns out, Lohtao's subtle abilities had been a druidic potential. The druids that came to him offered to train him to expand upon these abilities and become a full fledged druid. He thought about it long and hard and decided that he could do a lot of good as a druid. He said his goodbyes to his mother and headed off to Thunder Bluff. He trained as a druid the next four years. They taught him all they could about being a druid, however, the Tauren were new to druidism as well. Therefore, Lohtao journeyed to Moonglade to be taught from the Night Elf druids who lived their. After another four years of intense training under the Night Elf druids, Lohtao earned himself a place within the Cenarion Circle. His training had greatly increased his druidic powers. After his time with the Cenarion Circle, Lohtao began to realize the importance of his work as a druid. He could work to protect Azeroth from those who would wish to do it harm. Now he travels the world, working to protect the wilderness of Azeroth and all living things inhabiting it.
