Personality

Lin has always been very independent, and has always felt that she was different from other Trolls. After leaving her people, she became even more independent, traveling alone to answer the calls of the wild, for that is all she seems to desire, the ability to bend nature to her whim. Her people have left a bitter taste in her mouth, and she has come to trust and rely on the Tauren rather than other Trolls. She despises the Undead, seeing them as little more than abominations. The Blood Elves seem rather arrogant to her, and treat her like scum, so her views on them are little greater than that of the Undead. Lin respects the Orcs for freeing her people, but is still quite wary of them, the Fel skinned brutes that they are. Her lust for power, and her determination is what drives her to travel through the lands alone, and grow, day after day.

History

Born on the Broken Isles, not long before Thrall and his Horde came to them, Lin had little in the way of traditional upbringing, hardly old enough to recall any of the events around the time the Orcs arrived. Once Thrall's Orcs came to their islands, and problems with the Humans and Murlocs arose, Lin was kept safe and sound, away from all of the fighting and bloodshed. After the issues were resolved, and the Troll leader Sen'jin fell, Thrall gathered up many of the Darkspears, and brought them with his Horde to Kalimdor.

Still very young, but rapidly growing, Lin would become fascinated by the large and powerful Tauren people who quickly became allies of her people, and the greenskins that saved them. She saw few of these wondrous Tauren, but all the same would follow them around whenever the chance arose, and later in her development would come to question them about their people, their ways of life and of course, their magics. Lin's mother naturally tried to keep her away from the large, and intimidating creatures, and most importantly tried to quell her interest in magic. Her mother wanted a quiet and peaceful life for her, and so Lin would learn to do simple chores by day, while dreaming of the amazing Tauren people by night.

Not long after her coming of age, Lin would creep out of her village, and away from her people. Wandering the land of Kalimdor was fascinating, as was her original encounter with the Tauren. Lin had more than enough knowledge to survive on her own out in the wild, thanks to her mother, and would eventually come to a small peaceful village of the Tauren people. At the head of this village was an elderly shaman, who Lin first had to speak with before finding her place in the small town. She came to regard the Tauren more as her family than Trolls ever were, something about them was simply intriguing, and mystical. After several years of living in the village with these Tauren, and doing what she could to earn her keep, Lin would approach the shaman at the head of the village, questioning him about his practices and magical abilities. It seemed that he had been looking forward to this moment for a long time, and would begin to teach Lin the ways of his people.

Over several years, Lin, or as she was now known as, Lin'fon, sought the guiding spirits to aid her in her quest for knowledge and power. Her abilities grew, the magic of nature bent to her will, so long as she bent in return to its will. At last, at long last, she had gained a certain amount of respect among these spirits, and ventured to her home with the Tauren to prove this. Not long after she returned from this journey, to finally thank the elderly Tauren for what he had done for her, Lin'fon discovered that he was ill, and would not likely live for more than a week. Every day she stayed with him, and every moment until his death she remained at his side. The kind old shaman's last words were of how proud he was of her, and how he knew that they would speak again.
