History

Ligerat was brought up in family of trade. His father was known as “Coin diplomat”, or for a common man, a successful trader, that owns quite few caravans. His mother had a humble shop in rebuilding Stormwind, there in the shop, Ligerat was taught by small tradition of the family. Until age of 18 he was to gain all knowledge that his parents have.

Unfortunately his mother died when Stormwind was completed and Stonemason’s guild formed Brotherhood of Defias. Reason for her death is unknown just as her killer. Ligerat’s father was one and only one suspect. “Coin diplomat” fled for his life, before anyone would grasp about his connections to Dark Iron dwarves, Ligerat fled with him. They went to forgotten lands of Badlands, where Helnim Silversaddle, Ligerat’s father, had few Dark Iron dwarf friends. There they settled and continued Ligerat’s training.

Helnim Silversaddle was just another tradesman that would take any profitable deal. One of those deals led him to Dark Iron dwarves. At first Helnim did not like idea of trading in secret, but when coin started flowing like unstoppable river, he changed his mind. He kept some supplies there, even had a house to be built for him. Rent for house was quite large, but coin made after each trip was even bigger. For Dark Iron dwarves Helnim would not only bring goods, but mercenaries that would share few gossips from around the world, giving them information, almost working as secret scouts.

With no longer having coin to help there trouble, Helnim was forced to work in Dwarven mines, in order to bring food to the table and have roof over heads. While Helnim worked at mines, Ligerat would be trained, by a mercenary, to later become an archer. This mercenary was actually a relative, another Silversaddle that had been known as “Toothpick”, Gehardial Silversaddle.

Ligerat’s life did not change until his father, disappeared in mines. Mine collapsed with two dwarfs and Helnim. Even when mine was rebuilt, no trace of bodies was found. “Toothpick”, Ligerat’s uncle, took him to Ironforge, there his training as tradesman continued. Gehardial Silversaddle, taught Ligerat tricks and tips of good and profitable trade. There he also learned more about combat with bow and arrow, throwing knives and swords.

At age 18 Ligerat left Ironforge and returned to Stormwind, there he served in militia force for one year, before quitting and joining noble house, later to be become conclave. After serving there half a year, he grew tired of Noble and all that surrounded him. He wanted to trade, not fight for everyday, so Ligerat left noble house and decided that his future must be tied as closely as possible to trade. He already managed to find a possible spot at another noble house, yet he might just take it, since it gives him more freedom for his trading needs and house itself encourages him to trade and bring profit both to Noble House and himself.

After another house that did not suite him, he was called by his grandfather, Gehardial, to start his training and prepare himself to lead the House Silversaddle, the house that managed to keep itself on such low radar, that even Ligerat Silversaddle, knew nothing about it. At first he dismissed it as a joke, but when he started seeing caravans, put on uniforms, more and more mercenaries represent his grandfather, he had a meeting, with a lot of questions, yet none of them were answered. With his new responsibilities just around the corner he has to adapt, in order to not fail his only other family member.

Few other events happened as he was under watch of his grandfather: him having to run and advice Gehardial almost on every matter, more or less run the house himself, just with a "get out of jail card" in form of Gehardial; having quite few run ins with bandits, pirates and even the Horde, forced him to learn all kinds of tactics and strategies. One of these battles, where he was surrounded by people who did not knew his plan, placed him in a spot of near death. This experience shook his world even harder, forcing his change to happen faster, but it wasn’t enough to make him feel like he can run a noblehouse, but a wise paladin shed some wisdom on Ligerat’s cleanly shaved head. That and him being more or less confused, led to him changing almost instantly, in a course of a week, he became almost as hard as his grandfather, yet some of his old traits still remain.

After finishing a lot of paperwork that will be useful in the future, Ligerat finally knew one thing clear, running a noble house and running a caravan company is almost same, just instead of only competitors, you have addition of the Noble houses that want to swallow all your work and spend all your gold on things that do not matter… like a manor or an army that will only looked at.
