Appearance

His armor is hand-made by himself, steel and made and remade constantly to fit him, and him only. It's completely reinforced, with cloth lining the insides for comfort. The crevices in the joints are reinforced with leather from the inside, so that a well-placed arrow doesn't slay him. The armor itself is completely covered in spikes, all between three and five inches, and cover everything except his palms, his buttocks, the bottom of his thighs, and the bottom of his boots. He also has claw weapons that extend from the gauntlets, and sometimes wears another set of gauntlets over his own if they have better blades than him. The spikes are NOT aesthetic. It is heavy, but he's become accustomed to the weight after years of work and wearing it.

Other: Heat doesn't affect his hands as much as it does others, thanks to years of blacksmithing. His combat style is that of an unarmed opponent, being covered in spikes and the such to make up for this fact. He tends to bear-hug his opponents (thus impaling them), and tries to constantly keep something extended, so his adversary cannot go on the offensive. He also has a long slash across his chest.

Personality

Lekan is a lively orc. Like others, he holds honor very dear to himself and holds others to the standards of honor. His personal honor dictates that it is best to use something crafted by yourself rather than something mass-produced by another. Lekan's code of honor's general rule is this; be unique, do not give up, accept help but never ask, offer help to another weaker warrior he is aligned with. He tends to be bright and optimistic about the situation, and has a wide sense of humor. Intelligent jokes don't necessarily always go over his head, but he can enjoy gutter humor as much as everyone else. He tends to be stubborn, especially concerning knowledge of combat and dancing, but will back down when it comes to other areas that he is not as skilled in.

Lekan loves to learn and loves to teach. He thinks of dancing as the only other medium besides combat that you can truly learn who someone is. Lekan is an orc who loves to create and tend to things, and he accomplishes this through the art of blacksmithing. He isn't one who cares for the laws too much, feeling that their codes and traditions will only hold one back from achieving their true potential, in any field of expertise, be it combat or politics. He's never been one for waiting and meditating, but one of impulse, charging into action if he thinks something can be done. He can be rash at times, and tends to confront others at inappropriate times. Lekan is not a fool, being a veteran of the three wars, and has learned not to discriminate against the other races. However, he does distrust the Forsaken as a whole due to his dislike of undead in general and his own fear of becoming one. Lekan wishes to become a hero in the end, and become an orc that the Horde will talk of for years after his death.

History

Lekan was born into the Warsong clan during the Orcish civil war, his father an armorsmith and an ex-grunt, relieved of duty due to a crippling injury to his leg and the loss of his left eye. Lekan grew up learning how to fight with his father and how to forge armor. When not learning with his father, Lekan would bash heads with the other young orcs of the clan, often large-scale brawls breaking out between the children. Thanks to all these fights, either he broke his fists or broke someone else's bones, hence the name "Shatterfist". It made them stronger, and thus wasn't stopped by the mature orcs. The random disputes became more uniform and formal as they began training as soldiers, a long war expected in the conquering of Azeroth. After reaching maturity, Lekan was quickly shipped off by the Horde to aid in the First war. He was a frontline soldier in the sacking of Stormwind, and was one of the surviving grunts who successfully destroyed the city. Following the end of the First War, Lekan found himself with the task of hunting down human runners. Feeling it too dishonorable to cut down his opponents with his axe, he pursued them wearing only his armor and brandishing his own two fists. He fought in numerous battles this way, finding combat more enjoyable (and preferable) without the burden of a weapon. Inspired by this style of combat, he returned to Draenor to see his clan again, and followed the path of his father and began to forge his armor. He spent all of this downtime forging his very own special armor, adorned with spikes and shaped to fit only him.

When the Second War began, Lekan once again answered the call to arms. After only two short months, however, he was grieviously injured in a skirmish, and was bedridden for a week. A broadsword had come across his midsection, and he'd lost a lot of blood. After being given some time off, it was determined that he was no longer fit for action, and sent back to his clan on Draenor. He eventually recovered, but mentally he was wounded. His personal defeat shook him, and he wanted to grow stronger. After all his years of training, he was still beaten. It was here that he began to learn the art of dancing, and eventually incorporating his dances into combat. He no longer underestimated the humans, and was eager to fight against them again. So when Grommash Hellscream rounded up a large group of Warsong orcs to enter through the portal, he volunteered, and followed him in the fight to free the orcs from their internment camps. He kept up his hobby of dancing along with his combat training, always intertwining them whenever he could.

Lekan traveled with Thrall and his own clan to Kalimdor, instantly taking a liking to their new allies. However, when the clans separated, Lekan followed Thrall, not content to cutting lumber. As such, he was not present when the rest of the Warsong clan drank the tainted waters and became fel orcs. He was one of the first grunts to charge against them, spurred on by the hope that his clan could be redeemed. After the battle, however, he withdrew from the clan altogether, content to merely being an orc of the Horde, belonging to no clan. Lekan has since then etched out a living in Orgrimmar, content as a veteran, but always willing to tell stories of his glory days or knock out an annoying upstart. Sometimes, he still goes adventuring, but only when he has the extra coin.
