Appearance

Kron gained his name from the metallic tell-tale black armor he wears that was crafted back on Draenor two generations before his birth and passed down to him on his father's death; while the armor itself has changed and has been reforged with sturdier metals. He has kept the armor in relatively good condition, which is somewhat difficult to do considering that he has been a warrior since his rite of passage. Apart from this armor, he will dress in ceremonial garb during "formal" meetings etc or simple leathers while he is not in combat.

Personality

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

The aged orc has seen much through his life time and has witnessed the drastic changes of his people first hand, he has felt the foul taint of the demons, tasted the flesh of his people's enemies, lead his brothers in combat, and has been made humble in internment camps alike, he has fought for redemption of his clan and people, and has seen the horrors the world has to offer. Hardened by the years, Kron has come to the understanding that there are a few things that are worth living for; honor of his family, his people, and personal glory, survival of the orcish race and prosperity of the Horde, and a continued service to the people and leaders of the Horde. It is difficult for even an aged and wised soul such as Kron to see past the blood of the past and the old hatreds still find roots in his elderly body; it is a battle he wages constantly with himself. He is aware that his time on Azeroth is dwindling and that it will not be much longer until the ultimate reaper, time, comes to take him to his ancestors; and so he continues to fight in hopes that when he goes to meet his ancestors, he will make them proud.

History

Since his childhood before the corruption of the Orcish people by demonic influences, Kron has always been a large and tougher lad than most of his siblings and friends. Born to a prestigious family of the Blackrock Clan on Draenor, Kron was put into the position of heir to his Father's title. As such he was raised with such knowledge and received harsher discipline than his other siblings; when he was of age he would take his first weapon and become a raider apart of his Father's hunting band, fine-tuning his skills through hunting large prey etc. When the Shadow Pact was made with Kil'jaeden and Gul'dan, Kron took part in the extermination of the Draenei race on Azeroth, fully believing that it was true that they were the sworn enemies of his people. He took great pleasure in butchering them so, and it was no surprise to anyone that Kron would happily drink of Manneroth's Blood. Kron was second-in-command under his Father's unit during the Siege of Shattrath; it was during this time that he had witnessed the death of his Father at the hands of a vindicator; the resulting action had been one of the first times in Kron's life that he had felt such overwhelming emotional fury and sorrow even through the blood haze. With the death of his Father, Kron had taken over his position and title alike, resulting in elevation within the Blackrock clan. The extermination was completed and the following years would bring the orcs into a depression the likes of which they had never seen before.

It was a personal struggle as the clans waged war on each other, the bloodlust was too strong for any of them to handle and the Horde was boiled down to inter-clan fighting. Kron the Black had personally lead many a raid on fellow orcs during this time of great strife. Gul'dan came like a savior in Kron's opinion, bringing promises of a new world ripe for the taking, a new paradise for the orcish people to satisfy their lust. Kron the Black had entered with the first wave of orcs through the Dark Portal, personally leading raids against the few settlements within the Black Morass. Within the resulting years there was full blown war against the Kingdom of Azeroth, humanity had proven to be strong in the beginning and was a surprising turn of events that Kron had viewed as a worthy challenge. When Orgrim Doomhammer had assassinated Blackhand the Destroyer and made light of the corruption that Gul'dan and his followers had brought about on his people, Kron was stunned and immediately fell in line with the new Warchief. It was not long after that the Kingdom of Azeroth had been decimated and destroyed that Kron the Black had been promoted further more in the Blackrock clan, taking on more troops under his wing as the Second War was quickly coming about.

When the fleet had prepared to set off for the coasts of Lordaeron, Kron had prepared his soldiers for the war to come, edging them on with more promises and propaganda for the glory of the new Warchief. Blissfully ignorant of the strength of the Alliance of Lordaeron that would meet to confront the rampaging Orcish Horde; the order had gone out and he loaded his men onto the transports. Reports were already coming in that the dwarves of Khaz Modan were quickly crushed with more ease than the Kingdom of Azeroth had taken to fall. Blood and thunder was sharp in his relatively young mind that thirsted only for conquer. The resistance they had encountered was… to say the least, a surprise. Within the first weeks many casualties on both sides had occurred, it was clear that this was to be a drawn out war… but that did not bother Kron the Black in the least.

It was during the Invasion of Quel'thalas that Kron the Black had taken a serious injury by a pair of elven rangers; an arrow to his chest barely missed his heart by, while a good number had found his thighs. His spirit was crushed by the resulting blow and he was forced to remain at base camp, useful only for hounding the peons and limping about for years to come. His second-in-command, Mukra, had taken the reigns of his Outriders. Reports that Gul'dan had betrayed the Horde had come in and that his fellow clansman and the two Blackhand brothers had been dispatched to dispose of the Grand Traitor had come in. Kron was devastated when he was observing the Battle for Capital City from afar as the reinforcements never came; for the first time in his life he had seen Orgrim Doomhammer falter and give the order for retreat. While the bulk of the army retreated, Kron was left to fend for himself as the peons he was commanding abandoned him, his Outriders did not come to protect him either, it took no time at all for him to quickly become a prisoner of the Alliance and subjugated to their cruelty he had not known before.

Stripped of all his possessions and weapons, he was brought to the first of the internment camps which would soon be filled with others of his kind. His spirit was all but devastated by the setback and by over night he had began to simply not care anymore… it was as if the will to live was all but drained from him and his body had taken control while his mind wandered off. Had his brethren also suffered the same fate, he did not care to notice, he simply did as he was told as his body healed from the wounds. It was as if though this form of life had gone on for what must have been ten years in the least to him before a strange upstart Orc had been captured and brought in. By luck alone Kron had been in the first internment camp that Thrall would first liberate through the deception of tricking the wardens and then rallying the orcish people. Kron was in shock to see the shamanistic powers first hand; it was something that he had not seen since his early childhood. He was by far not the only one to have felt the intense surge of hope in his heart and he immediately rallied behind his brethren and the young Thrall. After the prison break and the destruction of the internment camp, Kron had gathered his old possessions and was fit for battle once again.

Within the course of weeks and months the Horde had swiftly rebuilt itself, Kron was more than surprised to see that the legendary Doomhammer still drew breath and that there was a fighting chance for freedom. He had proven himself a commander of sorts during the liberation of the Hammerfall Internment Camp when he took charge of a unit of grunts; only at the same time that Doomhammer had been felled at the hand of a coward's lance, Kron was crushed as mourned the death of what he considered the greatest orc of all times. But the fight was not over, the new Warchief, Thrall, had rallied the orcish people despite the fall of Doomhammer. Vengeance was had against Blackmoore and the New Horde had begun anew.

Within the following months, Kron participated in a series of raids on Alliance settlements for supplies as the bulk of the forces proceeded to capture Alliance transports, the Warchief had made clear that they were leaving on an exodus across the sea and there was to be no questioning of his authority. The armies had boarded the boats and set sail, over the course of weeks the Horde had made it to the New World and prepared their armies. They had met the Darkspear on the way across the Great Sea, and the spiritual shamanistic Tauren. Kron was most pleased to have met them himself and had spent a great deal of time with their warriors as they were brought into the folds of the New Horde. In the following weeks the stress of the Third War had struck Kalimdor and the New Horde faced civil war, Kron was with the bulk of the army when they had to defeat the corrupted Warsong; though, he honored and equally mourned the death of Grom Hellscream, who he viewed as the savior of the orcish people.

Despite the outcome of the Third War, Kron the Black had not forgiven the humans and the newly discovered Night Elves were equally hated by him, he blamed the death of Grom on their demi-god and his aggression against the Warsong. During the duration of the Burning Crusade and the Fourth War against the Lich King, Kron had fought in the Warsong Offensive and quickly grew a great respect for the Overlord Garrosh. When the Alliance declared war on the Horde, Kron the Black returned home and requested an audience with the Warchief and his advisers, already at a high standing within the Horde's military officials, Kron had requested the right to build a new military outfit by the name of Orgrim's Outriders to combat the aggression on the home front that would surely come. He was granted the title of Warlord and given orders to prepare the new unit, war was coming and the aged Warlord would see to it that the hammer would fall upon the Alliance.
