Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Kriel is rough, rowdy, and usually speaks by cursing and in a generally unmannered and impolite manner. He's however nice - and a trickster. He'd never treat anyone badly unless he recieves such treatment beforehand himself. A jokester at heart, Kriel tends to crack puns every now and then. This gets stronger as the tension increases, since the elf tries to relieve it even if a bit.

When faced with other races, he's not completely racist. Kriel's personality will remain the same, however he'd still attack a human, draenei, gnome, dwarf or pretty much any alliance or non-horde member at sight should they step in elven lands. He may decide to simply spare them and "kick them out" instead of killing them depending on their own actions or even if he is/was paid or not to guard the place and/or kill any intruders.

It's good to point out, perhaps, Kriel's relationship with money. It goes beyond his loyalty to just about anything besides the farstriders - He would even betray his people end country, but never his faction, even at the cost of his life. (Which ends up making him loyal to the country by consequence, at least for now.)

History

Kriel was born into the prestigious Runewalker family. With a bit of renown for birthing powerfull magi, it came to his parents a great surprise when Kriel showed little to no interest to yield the arcane. Kriel spent his days watching as the rangers walked by, freely, while the Magi were chained to their towers and studies. He saw the farstriders taming and befriending nature, living with it, while the Magi cowered in fear - and he didn't long for that life.

As soon as he could, Kriel enlisted. He joined the Farstriders as a trainee, to much the dismay of his family. At that time, his grandfather Altan Runewalker decided to give up on him completely, and focus on Sylva'ael Azuresun, the magi adopted at the same time as the boy's birth.

Kriel's life with the farstriders was fulfilling. He trained with sword and bow, and how to tame and use nature and it's creatures to it's fullest. This eventually would lead him to tame an animal companion - a wolf that went by the name of Silverfang. When Silverfang passed away, Kriel tamed a second wolf, and named him after the first - a tradition that would follow him for the rest of his life.

A few years after the man turned two-hundred, now a captain of the farstriders and with much more experience under his belt, the first war began. The second war followed, and the farstriders took part. Kriel followed them in combat, not in the name of the Alliance, nor the name of the elves or the humans - but of his faction. It was then, on his actual first real experience with war, that the elf learned a few values of the mercenary life.

The third war followed soon after, and then, the fall of Quel'thalas. The farstriders took an active part there. Kriel saw as his ranger-general fell in combat, as many others did. The elf was enragened with grief - at the treason of his people, at his own impotence to stop what was happening, at the death of his friends; But he had no other option but retreat. Falling back with the others and escaping within a timely portal, he managed to run away.

For five years after the fall, Kriel remained as a high elf. He worked now as a mercenary, willing to do just about any job from hired sword to assassin or bodyguard; If he would get paid. When the Sin'dorei joined the alliance and the Sunwell was restored, Kriel saw the new Farstriders in a different light. He thought he was above their desire for revenge, but was proven wrong once the Lich King revealed himself. Proclaiming himself a blood elf and rejoining the farstriders as a captain once again, even if unnecessary due to the restored Sunwell, Kriel absorbed enough demon blood to paint his arcane-blue eyes into fel-green; And marched towards the fight against Arthas with his brothers and sisters - For revenge.

Kriel never took part in the raid at the icecrown citadel. However, he was an active member of the farstrider's guerrila missions attacking scourge necromancers and taking them down by surprise. When everything was finally done, he returned to Silvermoon to rest.

That was, however, shortlived. A few months after his return, Kiel was once again sent somewhere else - To aid the representant of the farstriders in Ghostlands, Acserin, and his group - in whichever way needed. Thus, the mercenary set off again.
