Appearance

Kordek prefers mobility over the sure protection that a constricting set of plate-mail can offer, so he wears more leather and chain mail. His ordinary pauldrons are leather (dyed red,) layered over an ordinary metal pauldron with a set of sharpened bone spikes set into them.

When off-duty, he prefers to wear simple leathers.

Other: Kordek is almost fully ambidextrous through a fair bit of training he received as a child from his father. Thus, his favored weapons are a pair of axes fitted to his preferences, both with a hammer-like counterweight used to bludgeon nearby opponents.

Among his small arsenal are two other weapons, a bow (only occasionally,) and a stone knife with a bit of leather wrapped around the handle. His training in the bow is not at an expert level, but if given a proper opportunity, he can use it to enough effect to warrant keeping it. The knife is almost a superstitious object kept out of Kordek's belief that a knife is -always- needed, no matter what. He typically uses it for non-combat situations, however.

Personality

Kordek is very friendly to those of the Horde, more than willing to lend a helping hand to them, should they need it. He views friends and family as the most important parts of life, and is incredibly loyal to those he loves or trusts. When angry, he isn't capable of thinking very clearly and will make very hasty, often bad decisions. Kordek dislikes staying completely inactive and he lends himself more to hobbies than he does thinking. He has an intense fear of having his freedom taken away again, having only just tasted what freedom is. Kordek is a somewhat sentimental Orc, liking to have objects that he can remember very important events by.

Kordek views all Alliance races as enemies, especially humans. However, he has the courtesy to give them an honorable death, as he was taught.

History

Born to the Warsong Clan from his parents, Kordek was raised in an internment camp throughout the majority of his life. His father taught Kordek as much as he could while under the restrictions the camp brought to the table. Among his early teachings were reading and writing in his own language with both hands. Kordek, born right-hand dominant, was taught from a very young age that he needed to be able to use both hands with equal ease. His training consisted of rigorous work-outs when they could be fit in, partly to keep Kordek in shape and partly to help stave off the lethargy that had begun to plague their people.

Raised through the lethargy of his people, Kordek clung to his father's words of how things were. Tradition quickly became just as important to Kordek as it did to his father and his entire family line. Through tiring work-outs and important lessons, Kordek slowly crept toward becoming what his father called a, “productive member of the Warsong Clan.” Though, his early childhood was not filled only with hard work and hatred for the humans. Kordek's parents placed a strong sense of honor and loyalty within him.

The orc was still but a child when the Internment camp was liberated by his people, but his family quickly picked up and searched for the rest of their clan as soon as they could. As the third war loomed over them, they all prepared. Kordek was given minor axe and bow training on their trip, but it was hardly enough to call him a warrior. Once the war came, it was clear that Kordek would end up left in the background as his parents fought.

Upon the return of his parents and their journey to Kalimdor, Kordek's training picked back up. Finally free, Kordek's training could flourish as time passed. He was given more extensive training in the use of two axes, as well as the bow. It soon became clear that his father taught him to use both hands because of a sort of family tradition, using two weapons. As far back as can be remembered, his family had devoted themselves to using two weapons as opposed to a two-handed weapon or a weapon and shield. Nonetheless, the training continued until Kordek was ready to become a Grunt.

Once Orgrimmar had become established, Kordek was given an opportunity to finally prove that he was of age and was capable of proving his worth to the New Horde. Eager to show his strength and valor as a soldier of the Horde, he was put against a current Grunt in a sparring match as his true test. Throughout the fight, Kordek was bloodied, beaten and nearly knocked out, but he continued to fight. Though he ended up losing the fight, it was shown that Kordek was worthy of becoming a Soldier.

He earned his surname a few years after his joining of the Horde, when he swung the butt of one of his axes up into an enemy's jaw. The axe splintered just below the head and the opponent was left on the ground, stunned. Taking advantage, Kordek killed the opponent quickly with the other axe and continued to fight. Since this day, the orc has found someone to adapt his axes to accommodate this method of fighting, that he has added to his skill-set.

In the present day, Kordek has left Orgrimmar to see Outland, something that has always been spoken of to him by his father, but he has never seen.
