Personality

Born not so long after a bloody war or rather, slaughter, Kincy doesn't show much naivety when it comes to life. Even so, her inexperience does lend itself to being bested easily by others, both physically and mentally. Kincy does wish to learn, however, to at least help her inadequate knowledge. The Draenei does not seem shy beyond social awkwardness.

History

Kincy was born to a Hunter and a former paladin, turned Shaman after the sacking of Shattrath. Her birth was hardly planned yet, despite the danger of discovery by Orcs, her parents decided to carry their child to term. So it was that another Draenei was added to their numbers.

Kincy had a relatively normal childhood. At least as normal as a childhood could be when she had to live, hidden away from sight in fear of genocide. Her father, when all was clear, often took his daughter into the wilds to teach her about the lands, and his profession. Her mother, on the other hand, often kept Kincy near the town, teaching her daughter about the Light, the Naaru, and the Spirits she now served to help her people. During the few free moments Kincy had, she often perused what little books her people still had access to, enjoying the wooded area in the near vicinity of her home.

When Kincy was twelve, sitting with her back to a tree, reading a book she'd already read a while ago, her mother came looking for her. Her father, tracking prey quite far from the village, had bitten off more than he could chew. Though her father had tried to run, the wildlife of Zangarmarsh overtook him and left Kincy fatherless. Kincy and her mother mourned his passing and Kincy, deciding that she did not want any others close to her hurt, decided that she wished to become a Shaman. Having heard of the healing powers the Spirits could grant, she shared her decision with her mother. Kincy's mother, deciding that, with the potential for their utter extermination still brewing, Kincy should learn to defend herself beyond what little her father had taught her and so the following years of her life were spent in training as a Shaman.

Seventeen years old, Kincy had become a short and skinny woman. Velen had come to their village, as he had many others, telling them of a plan to escape their ruined home. Barely taking anything beyond what they'd need, Kincy and her mother left for what was known as Netherstorm. As her mother was somewhat of a fighter, the two were soon separated, Kincy being sent with the civilians as her mother got to fight in the war. Deciding this was not a goodbye, the two separated with few words of love.

Kincy, however, had different plans. As soon as she knew full well the fighters where about to move in, the young woman snuck out of the chaos that was the civilian group and trailed her mother. Hardly armed, and armoured even less so, the skinny woman had little to do during a fight but, even so, she gave it her all from the back, murmuring pleads to the Spirits to cast lightning bolts at the Blood Elves. Though her weak spells hardly inflicted casualties, they often gave the fighters the needed pause to survive even a bit longer and cave in one more skull.

Despite giving her all, Kincy had failed to notice the one Elf that would take her mother's life. Seeing her mother fall, Kincy sent one last bolt of lightning, earning her only kill of the fight, before she moved to save her mother. Unable still to cast a healing spell, she instead dragged her remaining family member to safety, into the Exodar, where she learned she was the only one left of her bloodline.

Left in mourning, Kincy decided to have her mother's armour refitted to her size. However, before she could receive her new armour, a fault developed in the Exodar's engine, sending them out of control before their ship crashed. Waking up on a shore, left in tatters of the clothes she'd worn on the Exodar, Kincy found her way back to civilization in the form of the only recognizable structure she could see, the Exodar.

Finding a new mentor inside of the ruined halls, Kincy did not partake in either the war against the Burning Legion, nor even that against the Scourge. Instead, she threw herself onto training. Honing her skills at healing, after she'd lost both her parents because of, as she believed, her inability to heal or even kill. Finding her mother's armour in the possession of a quartermaster. Unable to fit the garments to anyone due to its supposedly skinny former occupant, Kincy managed to take the armour off the man's hands for a lower price than normal.

Now, against the wishes of most of her people, Kincy has decided to explore the world she calls home now. Though her mentor would rather she remain close, Kincy believes her people should adapt to the world they live in now, and the people that live in it. Short-lived as their new allies are, even Kincy's mentor had to admit it would perhaps be better to allow the somewhat battle-hardened Shaman to experience the outside world at her young age instead of returning to the sheltered life that caused the girl to feel guilty over her parents' death.
