Information

Character full name: Keliesi (Kel-yee-see...often mispronounced Kel-ee-see, or she gets called 'Kelly' or 'Leesie') Maejolen (May-ho-len. Often spoken quickly, even by her--- M-holen. If someone reads her name 'Majoelen' she'll rage. It's rare that her name is seen written down, though.)

Character in-game name: Keliesi

Nickname(s): Huntress Keli (or if for some reason she shows favoritism to someone, other shortened versions of her name. She's rarely so social as to allow that, though.)

Allegiance(s): Clients.

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Hunter

Age: 130 (Approximately)

Sex: Female

Hair: Naturally black, typically pulled into a ponytail or out of the way by some other means.

Eyes: Luminous green

Weight: 140 lbs. (Approximately, judged by environmental reactions. She wouldn't waste time weighing herself, and it's unlike someone with precisely calibrated arms has picked her up in the last...well, ever.)

Height: 6' (Approximately---could be shorter, and this accounts for boots. Could be taller, and no one really took the time who measure her precisely. Who would care?)

Appearance

Keliesi almost never appears in attire that could be considered leisurely. Her favored garments are leathers that allow one to be easily mobile, and armor when she feels her environment may call for it. Typically favoring dark colors, a decision that even further distances her from her kind. She is an outcast by choice, a shadowy sort of persona. Dresses accordingly.

Other: There are many things about Keliesi that puts her at odds with her own. Physically, she was born with dark hair. Black hair standing out like a lump of coal in a blizzard. As she grew older and difference turned to rebellion---rebellion turned into a true, productive lifestyle---she marked her body. Rarely done by the Sin'dorei, due to their vain opinions of their appearances.

She bares a few tattoos, inked onto her by unknown artists. On the nape of her neck, and impression of a blazing sun. Low on her back, stylized eyes likely crafted after some form of predatory feline. On the back of each hand, a symbol. Left different from right, and this symbols are presumably in ancient language shared by elven kind. The one on her back, obviously, is rarely seen. Those on her hands are typically covered by gloves. And no one gets a long enough look at the back of her neck, unless she's having a very bad day...

But, they're there.

Personality

Standoffish. Like anyone who grows up aloof from their own kind, always in a bit of a struggle to find a place, she eventually gave up in trying to have a place. Now the attempt seems more centered on keeping others outside of any place she may have in the world. This is not to say she's particularly rude to others---but there will always be an arms-length quality to 95% of interactions. The type of person who one could even spend weeks around, and the moment she permanently leaves one would realize they still knew nothing about her.

She seems to have a zealous quality about her... will speak passionately on the 'ways of a huntress' if ever the topic arises. She avoids her own kind, and no other races in the world have any sort of favoritism for the Blood Elves. This leads her to be distrusting, and her first assumption about anything that breathes is that it does not like her and she would have a much easier time if she just killed it.

If anyone manages to get an involved interaction (this being rp, it's obvious that this is the intention) they're introduced to a hard core cynic. The world does not like her. She does not like the world. The world will, sometime in the near future, finally find a way to implode. She only worries about her hunts and her contracts because nothing else really matters anyway.

According to Keliesi, everyone will be dead tommorow. Every day.

History

Keliesi has, by and large, an unimpressive history. She's nobody. The only regard in which her tale is worth telling is for the subtle variations that created a cultural outcasts.

Those variations are as follows: When the Blood Elves paid for their transgressions with a great big dose of addiction, she took it about as bad as it could be taken without becoming one of the nearly mindless husks of Sin'dorei wandering old Silvermoon. The addiction drove her wild and, already being the black sheep, she had little help.

...on the note of her black sheep qualities, they were present long before this. Born with black hair, and showing obvious social tendencies to separate herself---some said her idolization of ancient huntresses came from books she read, but the truth of how her near obsession came about will never be known---she basically exiled herself. In all truth, she isn't exiled from Silvermoon at all. She's not enough of a 'somebody' for anybody to care if she's there or not. It's just that when she is, she feels ostracized enough to not bother coming back. And she hasn't in a good while.

The other subtle variation includes her aforementioned idolization of huntress culture. This of course draws a line back to Blood Elf and Night Elf shared origins---which doesn't earn her a spot on the favorites list of either culture. Blood Elves hate Night Elves, Night Elves believe that any comparison between one such as her and their culture/beliefs is a taint on their race. Neither party likes her for her habits. But she does it anyway.

Hunters (and their female -tress counterparts) are no stranger to the Sin'dorei...it's just the manner she goes about it that makes it worth note. Stumbling upon being classified as such was, perhaps, done in reverse. Finding an affinity for the outdoors, for nature in some regard...then finding that the natural flows of Arcane within her could be used to influence wildlife, and to bolster natural advantages. She didn't intend, on that note, to turn out as a 'huntress'. It sort of fell together over time, as the progression of most lives will do.

As pertaining to being an absolute nobody, she exists now as a mercenary. Anyone who may know she exists, would know her allegiances are at best questionable. She's a mercenary, and that neutrality---or loyalty to pay, and to getting her mark---is hard to miss.

It is rumored (or insinuated through interaction) that she has family back in Silvermoon. A father who's no one in particular, a mother who fell to the worst of the withdrawal, a sister who apparently cares very much about her and wishes she would stop wandering around. The only constant correspondence between her and someone else, are letters to her sister. Her sister appears to be a more typical Sin'dorei, and there's hint that the two rather hated one another early on.

Going through the withdrawal together (and with their mother who for some reason took is as bad as they did, while their father had a somewhat easier time) created one of those flash-solidified family dynamics. Her sister defends her place among Blood Elves, though she seems the type more concerned with the well being of their race as a whole than individual squabbles. Honestly, probably the less petty of the two.

[Edit for Sin'Sholai event: The murder which forced a schism in the Horde allegiance has forced the actions of many as well. Keliesi does not stand apart from this. Typically lingering in the southern lands of the Eastern Kingdoms, or in southeast Kalimdor, her path has turned northward. Crossing the Thandol span days after news spread, likely aiming to return to Silvermoon or otherwise near to her kind. Still an outsider, perhaps, but not blind or deaf to these dire happenings.]
