Personality

Kelan is actually not too arrogant for an elf. He is calm and thoughtful and carefully considers every decision he takes. He never fights if he knows that he can't win. He respects power and aims for it. Kelan never obeys orders or wishes of another person if he is not interested in doing the said action or he thinks it's wrong. He would never sacrifice himself for another person and will never live as a slave. He is proud of every aspect of his life and never regrets his decisions, because he always thinks that he's right. For him fate is just a word to excuse one's own mistakes, so he forges his luck and destiny on his own.

History

Kelan is born and raised in Silvermoon City. His parents were both Arcanists, very good ones too. So, ever since he was little, his parent's ambitions were to make him a mage. The boy actually didn't care much if he's trained in the Arcane or not. He just thought “Well, nothing better to do anyway.” So, his father started training him when the boy was at the age of 60.

He was a quick learner and learned enough about the Arcane to shoot out a spark or two after some time. So, when he was at the age of 125 his father decided that it would be in the youngster's best interest to study with a more capable mage. So, his father sent him to his own teacher, who had retired in a lonely house in Silverpine Forest. Kelan agreed and actually liked it there. He started studying the Arcane with passion, although it was just a bit.

Some time after Kelan went to Silverpine though The Scourge attacked Silvermoon City. When the news reached the young man, he took all of his baggage and rushed to the City. On the way he met some of his old friends that were running away. They convinced the young man not to go back and told him that his parents died, defending the City. So, he listened to them after some arguing and ran away, returning to the only place where he had some bond now – Silverpine.

His teacher didn't care about the fate of his people. So did Kelan, since he had nothing connecting him to them anymore. The two of them just continued like nothing ever happened. Kelan was learning quicker and quicker, until one night he couldn't fall asleep. He got up from his bed and went for a walk close around the house. While resting near one tree, looking at the stars and thinking about his own things, he suddenly saw a flash of light come from between the trees in front of him. He got up slowly, while another flash appeared. The young elf ran towards the light, he moved swiftly and quietly. Like the shadow of a hawk crosses the plains. He stopped right before a small meadow. His eyes widened, as he saw a magnificent view – his teacher was standing there, twisting some energies around him, that glowed creepy and beautiful at the same time. He was muttering something, that the elf couldn't understand. After some time, a strange creature appeared in front of the old elf. It was tall, strong and holding a big axe. Suddenly the elf turned towards Kelan with a mad and scared look. “What are you doing here?!” he asked.

The young elf was not able to say a thing. The huge creature just ran towards him, grabbed him and threw him in his master's feet. After Kelan spent some time persuading his teacher that he won't say a thing about what he saw, the two of them returned to their isolated house. The old elf spent some time explaining to Kelan what he was doing. That this was Fel magic, that it is banned from most of Azeroth, etc. But the young man was interested in it and he asked more and more questions with every passing day. So, finally his Arcane teacher decided to teach him this new for Kelan type of magic. After a few months of training though, the old elf just disappeared without a trace. Kelan waited for a few weeks, but when his teacher didn't return, he left Silverpine and headed for Silvermoon City.

He met another warlock there, named Lina. She agreed to train the young elf in the ways of Fel magic.
