Personality

Keak is often quiet and keeps to himself. This attitude of apathy towards all events unrelated to him only ceases when he is nearby a race other than humans. When not around humans he will often be louder than normal, making jokes, waving to people he doesn't actually know etc etc. And in the rare occasion that he is confronted by an undead of any kind, whether it be Forsaken or Death Knight, he becomes easily agitated and is on a short fuse. Almost anything will set him off and he has in the past started verbal and physical fights. Keak loves his weaponry to such an extent that he will kill if a blade, or mace, of his is insulted. He often drinks but can handle his ale fairly well, he's only gotten too drunk to properly function a couple of times in his life. On the rare occasion this does happen he becomes easily agitated, but instead of being angry or violent, he is scared of people. He'll scream, run, hide, anything you can think of in his power to get away from you. Recently Keak's faith in himself and what little faith he had left in the light have been fading. He is slowly losing his resolve and motivation, well, losing his old resolve for a new one. His alignment is slowly becoming more chaotic good. He's attacked his squad leader to "save" him from his Fel-Blood addiction. Keak is often on a short fuse now, he'll be set off by more than he could've been before. As he slowly becomes more chaotic, he begins to think that mercenaries, like the group he recently joined, and pirates are doing better things than groups such as the AvA.

History

Keak was born in Lorderon and lived a peaceful life. His mother died giving birth to him, although while he was young he didn't really understand the concept of "You're supposed to have a mother and father" because a father was all he had ever known. Keak's father was a knight of the silver hand, and a role model to him. Keak loved his father more than anything. He respected him to such and extent, that once he was old enough, he trained to become a knight of the silver hand as well. He wanted nothing more than to follow in his father's footsteps. Little did he know that soon, the path he had so gladly followed was going to be cut short.

At the age of 23 Keak had become a paladin. He wasn't any different form the others, he had the same over zealous attitude towards all forms of evil that the others had, and he wore the same armor that the others did. His father was working as a guard as he was no longer fit to truely fight as he had before. Now with the title of paladin, a great city that seemed to be away and unaffected by the worlds troubles, Keak thought he had an amazing life. Well, thought this, until it came crumbling down around him.

Keak began a day as he normally would have, he woke up, fed his horse, polished his armor, sharpened his sword and left home listening to the sounds of screaming citizens, wait what? Keak heard the screams of guards, and the clash of swords. He ran to the source of this noise. He ended up just outside the courtyard before the throne room, and what he saw horrified him to say the least. A small group of men clad in dark plate mail, slaughtering the guards, his father being one of them. Upon seeing a sword impale his father through the chest, he froze in terror. Keak regained his senses once the killers had left the area, likely to contue their slaughtering. He rushed forward to help his father, although by the time he got there, his worst fears had become a reality. His father was dead, the one figure Keak had loved and admired his entire life had been ripped from his arms. He became enraged, he grabbed his father's sword and resolved to kill the one who killed his father, he swore to have retribution for his father.

Keak left the city at around the same time the "Death Knights" had. He hunted the forests but it was useless, they were gone. Keak, now broken and alone, stayed in the forest for months, still hunting his father's killer although he Knew it was pointless. He lived in the forest for years, paying no mind to the events of the world around him. He knew as time went by that undead had slowly gripped the area, despite this fact he stayed. One night, at the age of 29 Keak came across a small group of undead. One of which particularly stood out. A male, dressed in broken Lorderonian plate mail, and a gash through the chestpiece. Although decaying flesh and dented armor was all that was left, Keak knew it was his father. He was overjoyed at first, but reality soon kicked in. His father was now a mindless slave, and not the man he once knew and loved. Keak drew his father's sword and decided that if he could not give him retribution, he would grant his father eternal rest. He charged forward and caught the group off guard, he made quick work of the other two undead, simply walking skeletons, and then went for his father. He was stronger than Keak expected, and over powered him. Laying on the ground, sword three feet away, the shambling flesh and bone slowly approached Keak. It raised it's blade, and as it did Keak's instincts kicked in. He thrust his right hand forward and it became engulfed in holy fire. He grabbed the undead's head and jumped up. He slammed it's head into the ground and let the holy fire burn the rest of the body.

Keak did not stay to make sure he had killed the undead, instead he ran. He ran as far and fast as he could, he ran away from the undead infested areas, after days of walking he reached brighter areas. Eventually he found himself in Elwyn, then Goldshire, and finally Stowmind. Keak lived in Stormwind for only a year or so, in quiet. One day, he visited cathedral square the people who commonly stayed there recognized him as a paladin and he was welcomed among them. But Keak had grown farther from the light than the others, his ability to wield it was barely intact. He declined the offer to stay. On his way out of the square, he met a man named Tornadis. They struck up a conversation and eventually he asked Keak if he would like to join The Alliance Volunteer Army. Keak reluctantly said "Yes." And joined. He has spent quite a bit of time in Stranglethorn Vale recently, watching pirate activity, and was awaiting deployment to Hillsbrand. Eventually Keak decided to head to Stormwind to await his deployment. Upon coming back, he discovered two very bad things. Firstly, his squad leader had acquired an addiction to Fel-Blood and left the AvA, and the second, the founder of the AvA had been killed. Keak realised the organization was falling apart from the inside. Keak spent a few days in Stormwind pondering what he would do once the AvA destroyed itself. One day when almost napping in Cathedral Square, Keak ran into an old friend of his. Coriv was his name, they talked for awhile and eventually Keak began to discuss the crumbling of the AvA, upon hearing this Coriv asked Keak if he would join a group he had founded. They were the blades of Aseldor, a group of mercenaries. Keak didn't even need to consider his answer. He accepted and left his plate mail in the AvA headquarters along with his resignation. Recently Keak was informed of the death of a friend of his. He has begun to think it was his fault, and that since the events before and up to his father's death, he hadn't been doing anything right. Keak has slowly been losing his faith, and with it, the light. Everyday his powers fade, and he is becoming more and more chaotic. Almost like how a drug addicts craves for how he felt on his first buzz, Keak wants to feel he is doing good once again. He has been wondering the forests of Elwyn recently, without a purpose, and soon, without power.
