Personality: Kayaa is rather laid back and casual around other people. However, in the presence of her brother, she often gets a little competitive, if not mean to him. She always tries to play herself off as the more superior sibling of the two, and takes cracks at Thrazz whenever she can. It is not too surprising when the sibling rivalry leads to violent fighting between her and her brother.

She likes adventures and seeing the world, and helping people along the way. She reveres the Loa and calls on them for help when it comes to healing and facing trials in life. She is not in the traditional mindset that most trolls are, and figures that there is something out there beyond the expected lifestyle most troll women would have. In her mind whatever comes her way is by the will of the Loa, not specifically the will of the male authorities around her.

History: Kayaa was born on Darkspear Island alongside her brother, Thrazz. Her real father was not there, and he wouldn't be for most of her childhood. Her mother did find another mate, but Kayaa didn't bond as close to her second “father” as she did her own mother and brother.

Her childhood was relatively carefree, and was often spent with her brother and the other trolls they played with around the village. While the parents went off to hunt they were taking care of one another, and observing the other adults of the tribe at work. Kayaa found herself most fascinated with the witch doctor and his voodoo magic.

Whenever the little troll came to visit him he would humor her by showing him his spells and potions. He would often dazzle her with puffs of purple smoke, and other effects that come from his spells. She asked him if she could do the same when he grew up, but he told her that women that became witch doctors were zufli, and they were not very liked. He did tell her, however, that she could pay reverence to the Loa and be a priestess. She was still just a child, but she took his words seriously, and said she would.

He rewarded her with a little voodoo doll and told him how she was making a good decision and that it pleased the Loa. This made Kayaa proud, and she kept the little charm with her, determined to live up to her word. As she got bigger and older she would start worshiping the Loa, praying for their guidance, for prosperity, for a good hunt, and so on. She would attend ceremonies and train under the other priests and priestesses of the tribe. In between her time training she would play with her brother, Thrazz, though more often than not their time together was spent quarreling and fighting one another.

When the island was invaded by Murlocs life changed drastically. Kayaa was no longer able to leave the walls of her village, and often her over-protective mother kept both the siblings inside to be safe. This often lead to tensions because the two trolls had to spend most all their time together, and they were getting sick of it. Often they had to be pulled apart or sent to different corners of the hut to end the bickering.

Day after day of boredom passed, until finally Thrall and his orcs arrived to save the Darkspear tribe. Kayaa didn't know much of what was going on, except that their leader, Sen'jin had died and they had to abandon their home to go to Echo Isles. With her family she boarded a ship, and let the orcs lead them over to Kalimdor where they settled onto the Echo Isles. There she resumed her training in becoming a priestess.

She figured from here on this would be her home, and her life was relatively free of conflict. She heard some positive things like how she would grow up to be a free woman because she was now part of the Horde. Kayaa still wanted to be a priestess instead of a witch doctor, because she felt bound by her promise. A few years passed before Zalazane possessed the minds of many of the trolls she knew. Kayaa, with her family, would once more have to flee their home to live in Sen'jin Village.

While she was a bit disappointed in losing her home twice, Kayaa found herself able to pull through emotionally by staying devout to her faith. In her mind what happened to her was the will of the Loa, and surely they knew what was best to her. She and her family remained intact, and they still had their powerful allies, The Horde. She spent the rest of her childhood years in Sen'jin, until she and Thrazz were both adults.

By then, for some reason, Thrazz wanted to leave. Kayaa was hesitant to follow, she liked her home, but deep down, even if they annoyed one another, she knew she would miss her brother. She insisted on coming under the reason that he would need someone to look after him, and it so happened with both the children leaving, their mother tagged along too. Their journey brought them to Ratchet, then Booty Bay, the jungles there feeling a lot like what Darkspear Island once was. It was in Stranglethorn that they would for the first time meet someone very special.

His name was Mokaku, the gladiator, but as an arena celebrity he was known as Hawk. The two young trolls were of course arrogant and full of spunk, and decided to take on the older troll in a two versus one. Needless to say he kicked both their butts, and humiliated both of them with defeat. However, before they could dwell on this, their mother told them that this troll was their real father. All sense of shame was replaced by pride, seeing how they descended from such an awesome and fierce fighter. There was so much to catch up on, and since then, Kayaa has stayed in Stranglethorn Vale so she could stay close to her father.
