Appearance

His outer layer is a long, leather trench coat with various pockets that, for some reason, don't actually hold anything. The black trench coat is also hooded, and he tends to sport this wherever he goes. However, he tends not to wear it in combat or if he has to be active a lot. Whenever he's not wearing it, he's simply wearing his standard leather armour.

When he's in combat, he wears a rather strange mask that gave birth to his alias "The Weeping Reaper". The mask appears to make him appear as though his face is twisted with anguish. If he's not expecting to be in a battle then he doesn't bother wearing it. A crossbow is strapped to his back, and on his waist is a single blade and a dagger.

Personality

For a man who has been murdering in his previous life and now the present, he's rather... polite. If you were to put him in a nobleman's attire and forget about his occupation, many would be inclined to describe him as a gentleman. Of course, you don't hear about the other names he's called by those who were victim to his murders. When it comes to hunting his prey, he is nothing short of cynnical, sinister and cruel. Watching the blood flow from people gives him satisfaction and a smile. He seems mentally disturbed, killing with such calm and efficiency, but in truth he's simply finding a way to vent all his frustration and rage on the living. He wants to be recognised as Human as he once was. But knowing it can never be done, he settles with the slaying of those who remind him of his losses. Which... is pretty much everything in the Alliance.

Though most of the things he does are mostly for his own interests, he does have a sense of loyalty. He occasionally visits Orc, Tauren and Troll lands to assist them, but he will always remain loyal to Sylvannas Windrunner.

History

Kargus' story begins in the grand city of Stormwind once it recovered from the first war to a family of low class which consisted of a mother, an older sister (the firstborn) who raised him and a younger brother. Back then he wasn't Kargus, he was in fact born Carigus Tenner. Their father was murdered a few years after the firstborn came into the world, leaving the mother to raise the family by herself. They lacked wealth, but the income of money was stable. There was little chance of it running out on them, and that was all they needed. Unfortunately, it was not enough for Kargus, who desired the simple pleasures that they couldn't afford. As the boy grew into a young teenager, he decided to take a more independant outlook on life. At first he started out as a thief, and whilst that was going well for him, he thought... why not have his cake and eat it too? He got his first job cleaning a house belonging to an elderly woman who didn't have the strength to do it all herself. He was getting a rather generous income for a kid.

Whilst he was cleaning around the house one day, his eye caught a glimpse of something he hadn't noticed before. There was a hatch underneath a rug in her bedroom. He was one for taking advantage of opportunities given to him, and whilst the woman was asleep, he quickly lifted up the hidden door and descended towards a dark basement with his only source of light being a torch. His eyes were wide in awe when he made his way to the bottom. There was all sorts of weapons and devices around him. Daggers, swords, rapiers, mechanical blades fitted to one's wrist and other devices of fine engineering. Gleaming in the corner was a stainless throwing knife in a collection of 10 that he couldn't resist the urge to take. But before he could, he heard a voice behind him. The old lady had spotted him, and was none too pleased about him sneaking in. She told the boy that the collection belonged to her husband and told him not to go inside again.

Kargus said yes, but he was going to make sure that he got that knife whether he was allowed to or not. But the sly old lady knew it as well. She watched with a smirk as he left the house, and awaited him the next morning. As she predicted, the boy was going back into there. She waited in the shadows and watched him. He displayed admirable traits. He was quiet and swift like a rat, but not too bright. She stepped out from the shadows just as he was about to take the knife he was so eager to get his hands on and approached him. Of course this scared the living hell out of him, but he calmed down after a moment. The shady old woman grinned and confessed all the objects belonging to an assassin were hers. It was on that day that whenever Kargus came around it would rarely be for cleaning, but instead it would be taught on how to use weapons. Little did he realise he was being tested to see if he was worthy of serving a greater purpose.

After only a couple of days, the old woman (who was named Irene) discovered that, surprisingly, young Kargus had an eidetic memory. Words that he only caught a glance of could be remembered after hours. She then taked him with killing one of the chickens she kept in her garden. If he couldn't kill a chicken, there was no way he could take the life of a man. Though hesitant, he passed her other test and snapped the poultry's neck that was made into a rather delicious soup for lunch. Amongst the education were other tests. Agility, stealth, grace, accuracy. He was no legend, but Irene was rather proud that she had moulded him into a weapon. Kargus at the time had no idea at the time that he was being trained to become an assassin. He thought he was just bonding with the old lady with fun activities, and she masked her intentions with rather convincing lies.

When he was 20, Irene patted him on the shoulder and told her of who she used to be a part of. The Stormwind Assassins. Claiming he had potential, she left him off the leash. He was told to make his living as a thief, and it was for two years that Kargus lurked the street of Stormwind in search for bigger game than picking pockets and did his best not to get arrested. It took two years before he was finally caught and seized by the guards. Despite his thefts generally being low profile, the amount they tallied up to was so large that he was sentenced to a year in prison. He was beginning to doubt whether or not there was any league of assassins, but he held onto hope. In his prison sentence he committed his first murder. Fortunately this was the Stockades and they never did seem to care if an inmate died, but it was burned into his conscious for the remainder of his years.

No more than a day after, he had rented out a room in the inn. He walked home one night and went to grab a key from his pocket, but felt something that wasn't there before. A folded up note. He peered around and entered his room and read through it. With a smirk, he found out his time had finally arrived. On the small piece of parchment was a drawing of a hand and a paragraph detailing where he was to meet a stranger. As instucted he went to the meeting place and after a brief exchange of words, was told to leave and wait a week. The time came and he found another note card in his pocket, this one with a drawing of a closed first. He had been accepted, and was inducted as one of the other 1000 Rogues that made up The Fourth Finger. The lowest of the organisation, but even the most accomplished assassin had to begin here. In his spare time he tinkered with engineering, creating devices to assist him in his quest.

He had dreamed big. He was sure that he was going to climb the ranks until he reached The Thumb and stood by Mathias Shaw himself. As fate would have it, however, he would become something else. He was 24 when the Third War struck, and he was tasked with invesigating Lordaeron and reporting his findings back to headquarters. He never came back. He was ambushed and slain, and brought back as one of the undead for the Lich King's army. He was one of the thousands to sweep through and mindlessly slaughter innocents. Soldiers, women, children. When he regained his free will... he didn't want to believe it. He couldn't bring himself to accept that he was Forsaken. However, the reflection he saw in the waters proved that he was what he dreaded.

His mind was warped when he found the Forsaken were a hated enemy. He was unable to return to his old life. He fell to despair, but it quickly turned to fury. He took up his title of Assassin once more and delved into shadow magic to further assist him. He once fought for the good of Stormwind, but now he wishes to see the throne of the Stormwind Keep split in two, and the city reduced to rubble.

Skills and Abilities

Kargus is adept in the art of stealth, thieving, climbing and murder, and has also utilized devices to kill his prey combined with minor use of Shadow magic.

Grapple: Kargus uses a device inside his left glove that, when activated, will shoot out a chain with a hook at the end. This tends to be used in combat or scaling buildings. The chain itself only extends to a distance of 8 feet, and like all gadgets can be prone to malfunction or rust. He has to take constant care of it.

Black Smoke: A small smoke bomb that detonates within a second that, when it goes off, will surround opponents with black smoke. The smoke doesn't do anything lethal. Those trapped inside will experience irritated lungs and visibility is severely limited. Typically used for a distraction to escape, or to move in for the kill.

Spiderhands!: Kargus can scale most buildings and walls with competence after years of practice, and land safely from heights.

Daggertail: Carried with him at all times is a type of whip, except entirely coated with deadly blades. A difficult tool to use, but one that Kargus has mastered. Not every effective against those in heavy armour, but those with little armour can receive some unpleasant damage.

Mechanical Blade: In Kargus' right glove is a device that can reveal a blade that is normally concealed from sight. It isn't particularly sturdy and thus cannot be used to parry attacks, but it can be used to surprise an opponent.

Shadowstep: Kargus may quickly slip into nothingness and appear in a different location within 5 yards in a burst of shadow. Attempting to perform this multiple times often fails miserably.
