Appearance

Her clothing can change depending on the situation. But, usually in her line of work, she wears clothing that grants protection and easy movement--a blend of protective cloth, leathers, and a bit of light plate. It's often fashionable to Kaldorei standards, with her own embellishments added consisting of feathers, dried flowers, and beads.

Personality

Kanrie is usually calm and cool, and not one to overreact too quickly. With her age, she's patient and fearlessly inquisitive. She trusts her intuition and is rigidly rational when it comes to problem solving. The flip side of this, however, is that she is often detached to the point where she comes off as passive and uncaring, and puts only a token amount of trust in others until they prove worthy of it otherwise; this is even more difficult, if not impossible, with enemy races--especially forsaken and blood elves. She works best with anyone who can keep up with her and her ways, preferring to just swing on a vine than risk a rickety bridge. She follows her own law, what she feels is a "natural law"; something that sometimes caused conflict during her service as a sentinel, and repressed until she took up her own path. The weak must be led by the strong, she feels, whether their strength lies physical or mental prowess.

Her personality is very dominant, but not forcefully so, and she is capable of a surprising amount of humility (even for an elf). When fully at-ease, she can be quite playful and a bit of a ribald character. Kanrie can even be maternal, but there's always a much more wild side lurking behind that. She regards hard work and cunning as the most important values in a person. While social, she's generally uneasy in large crowds, only enduring them when absolutely necessary (such as trading in a market). Even though she does as she pleases, she still honors and tries to uphold some traditional Kaldorei virtues--though she doesn't always practice what she preaches.

Though most of her work is rough and rugged, she's incredibly particular about her hygiene and upkeep, often bathing and preening herself several times a day, if necessary. This is not only for her own personal relaxation, but she feels it's good for maintaining a professional appearance, and doesn't want to represent her race as being "dirty."

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

History

Born to a bloodline of sentinels, Kanrie trained with weapons from a young age under her mother, grandmothers, and aunts, and alongside her sisters and female cousins. When she wasn't training, she would lose herself in the forests for days, even weeks at a time- which probably wouldn't have raised a brow if not for the fact her wanderlust often caused her to skip schooling lessons during her youth.

Upon adulthood, she found herself sworn in as a sentinel and served on the guard teams of several villages over the centuries. As a veteran of the Third War, acting as a frontliner and first strike unit, she gained more exposure to the people who'd come from the other side of the world. From them, a notable interest grew in some of the skills and techniques they had to offer, as well as the unknown lands they resided in. A few years after the war, her curiosity continued to grow like wildfire. Driven by her thirst for knowledge and the stories from the outsiders, a newfound spark of wanderlust was rekindled. Not only that, but this new mortality drove her further to experience as much as possible before the inevitable came.

Her first solution was to take up the first opportunity that arose to be stationed in these new lands alongside the Alliance units. However, she found this to be too limiting. After completing a short tour of duty, she retired early, took what money she had to her name, and set out on foot; sometimes taking up odd jobs and selling trinkets for extra money.

She someday desires to settle down in Kalimdor and raise a family, but this lifestyle of a wandering mercenary is becoming far too addictive.
