Appearance

Kajali prefers thick leather armor, in shades of brown and green. She'll almost always decorate whatever she's wearing with beads, feathers, bits of fur, or anything else she likes the look of that she's picked up off the forest floor.

Kajali's hair is always messy and tousled, whether it's tied back or not, and there are tiny beads and feathers tied into her tresses, along with small, randomly placed braids.

Small scars cover her body (though her hands are notably clear of any scarring), memoirs of hundreds of days and nights spent running with the beasts of the forests. Kajali has a particular pattern of scars on her face, which carry over into all forms. Kajali is not dainty. Her muscles are toned, her skin is most likely going to be grubby, she rarely bathes, and you can smell her from ten feet away.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Kajali is stubborn, impulsive, and intuitive. She is haughty, often thinking herself better than other races. She has a dislike of large, crowded cities, preferring quieter and more peaceful areas. She is a true Druid at heart, most at home in the forest, with animals and foilage all around her. Kajali has found that over-thinking matters complicates them, and so she acts completely on her impulses. She is caring and nurturing to things she loves, but can be extremely violent to anything that gets in her way or harms anything she cares for. Recently, in her later years, she has been trying to make herself more welcoming, or at least more approachable.

History

Kajali was born in Ashenvale and grew up there with her mother, father, and brother. Her mother was a free spirit, a true child of nature. If Kajali took after anyone, it would be her. Together they hunted, and her mother taught her much about the ways of the forest and the creatures that inhabit it.

If her mother was a child of nature, Kajali's father was the embodiment of it, a mender of flesh and bone and spirit. A druidic healer, always caring about everything and everyone. He saw to it that Kajali was able to heal her own wounds, always self-inflicted from running through the forest. Her older brother tended to always be absorbed in his studies and books. He was extremely gifted in druid magic, much to the delight of his parents and the chagrin of his sister, who was only really gifted at running around and getting herself scratched up.

Eventually, her brother left home to make his own life, and Kajali was soon pressured by her parents to do the same. So with no real plan in mind, she left home, seeking adventure and knowledge. She made her way to western Ashenvale, then up the coast of Darkshore, finally finding herself in the Moonglade. She recalled her brother telling her about the sacred grove, and she hoped to find him there.

She did, in fact, reunite with her brother in Nighthaven. He had started his druidic training, and was just as skilled with the magic as he used to be. Kajali stayed for some time in the town, but the more time she spent with the druids, the more she wanted to learn their ways. Finally expressing these feelings to her brother, he agreed to teach Kajali bits and pieces of what he had been learning. However, druid magic is a complex thing, and these small bits of lessons weren't enough to satisfy her. She finally approached one of the teachers in the town, humbly asking to be accepted into the circle and to be trained as a druid. He must have seen something special in Kajali, because although he didn't allow her acceptance into the Cenarion Circle, he reluctantly agreed to teach her.

Kajali worked hard at her studies, finding it tricky to work with the magic at first. But with time, and with her brother's guidance, she eventually became more comfortably, and was able to allow the magic to flow, as it should. When the time came to learn of different animal forms, Kajali took to her lessons easily, being already so close with the fauna of Kalimidor.

Kajali found herself most comfortable in her various animal forms, finding that they helped her become even closer to the creatures she loved. Her teacher warned her often of letting herself go, of becoming a 'Savagekin', but Kajali never heeded his warnings, and would go through long bouts of acting feral, sleeping in caves, and not bothering to change back from her animal forms. But these periods would pass, and she slowly learned to control her more animalistic urges. Still, though, she gained a reputation for being one of the more violent and hot-headed druids in Nighthaven.

She continued her training, satisfying her urge to wander by traveling through the forests of Kalimidor. Having seen so much of Ashenvale, and for so long, she was eager for a change of scenery, eager to see different trees and plants, and different animals. She traveled to Azshara, the mountains of Stonetalon, even as far south as the thick forests of Feralas. While in Feralas, she started to draw away from society, becoming more at one with the forest. Finding a comfortable cave, she fell into a deep hibernation.

After more than a hundred years, Kajali woke into a changed world. She traveled north to join her fellow Kaldorei in their part in the Third war. Years later, she passed through the Dark Portal into Outland to continue the fight against the Burning Legion.

But the world was changed for good, and Kajali's peaceful years spent wandering the forests were over. Not even a year later, she traveled to the far north to do her part in the fight against the Lich King. Now, she spends her time working with the different druid organizations in Kalimidor, Outland, and Northrend, doing her best to protect the land and the creatures she loves.
