Appearance

Whether she's out in the Barrens, fighting her way through Thousand Needles, or just chilling in her favorite tavern in Booty Bay, Kahla wears the same outfit, instead of any actual armor. Like any troll she does not wear shoes, but from her ankle to below her knees she wears a leather covering. Then, from her knees to her waist she wears shorts that too are leather, and have their usual buckles and straps.

Between her studded belt and harness part of her midriff is exposed, as well as some of her chest, the leather crossing in the front before going around her neck. Around her shoulders and forearms are various belts buckled together. Her gloves and bracers go from her elbows down, and are fingerless. Finally to pull it all together she has a cape in the back, which is also red, and of medium length.

Other: Aside from what can be observed from the profile, her skin is blue and she has tusks that protrude outward just past her nose. She wears two sets of earrings: both are loops, the bigger set being along the base of her ear while the smaller are out towards the end. She also has two daggers, one along each side of her hips, and a weighted throwing axe on her belt for easy access. Also, while she may be a rogue, instead of “doing it from behind” she is most typically up front in her combat and relies heavily on blows from her daggers, coupled with evasion. She cares not for stealthing about, unless if she needs to get away from someone.

Personality

She is usually happy and friendly towards others that she meets, so long as they are other trolls and orcs. With the other races she is on a neutral basis, with the least tolerance being for the blood elves. With enough ale, however, she could temporarily be anyone's best friend.

She often masks her deeper feelings behind a grin, which can sometimes seem a little forced, but mostly she manages to keep an air of confidence so long as she's sober. When she's not sober she'll shift through a few phases of emotion, starting with being quite dopey, full of laughter, and with a smile plastered over her face, and eventually devolving into a strange, morose state where her thoughts and feelings slip out more easily, but with the right company she can be quick to cheer back up.

History

Kahla was born as the second and youngest child to a family of hunting trolls on Darkspear Island. At that time she had a big brother who was around six years old. He was the pride and joy of the family. Kahla would have probably lived in his shadow, however, a tragedy had struck the family when she was very young. Announced, her brother had gone into the jungle alone to hunt, with the intention of proving his skills to his father. While he had planned to return with something great, he had never returned, and despite an intensive effort on her father's part to search the jungle, he was nowhere to be found.

The disappearance of her brother, and his presumed death, would have very little impact on Kahla, as she was then only two years old. The event, however, changed the family dynamic, especially her father's attitude towards her. While in grief over the lost of the eldest and only son, he had looked to his remaining child, and saw perhaps at the very least an opportunity to not “mess up with this one” as he did the first. He brought her with him hunting, he protected her, he had a soft spot for her and loved her like any dad did. In the end this probably contributed to her survival.

When she was eight the murlocs came to invade her home with the lead of the Naga Sea Witch, and Kahla, with her father, returned from their hunting to find their own home had been razed to the ground. There wasn't enough time for Kahla to figure out what was going on, but her father had determined that her mother had died before they caught sight of murlocs. When he did he was quick to take Kahla to where the other trolls were holed up, and keep the last bit of his family protected.

A year passed before they had seen any relief, Thrall had arrived to aid the Darkspear, and after he lead the trolls to fight against the Murlocs, they had set sail for Kalimdor. Her father was unsure of what would happen from here on out. He was devastated from the loss of his mate, he was driven from his homeland, a lot of his friends had gone missing or killed in the invasion, so all he had left was his daughter. He had found some relief to know that they both had made it out alive. He would not get to keep this comfort for long. During the trip over to Kalimdor the ship they were riding on was one of the less capable for the voyage. It had started to fall apart while they were at sea, and not before long it had cracked amongst the waves. Kahla found herself thrown below the waters, but managed to surface clinging to one of the boards. She looked everywhere but couldn't find her father. In less than an hour she was found by one of the other ships, and they were quick to pull the poor, disoriented and exhausted Kahla from the water and give her shelter from the sea.

When she made it to Echo Isles she didn't know what to do. She had no family, everyone felt like a stranger, and she was only a kid. She began to resent her new home, mostly because deep down she wished she could have everything back. She wanted to go to what she thought was her real home, Darkspear Island, and be with her father and have everything be alright again. She had become a rather unruly child towards the other trolls, and only did what she was supposed to do quite grudgingly.

She took very little role when her new home was invaded. The most she felt she could do was go where she was supposed to go and not get killed. In the end she had very little attachment to Echo Isles, and when she finally turned seventeen she was quick to leave and go on her path. With the little money she had she bought herself a pair of daggers, some sturdy leather clothes that would make the journey, and some food and water. She was never seen again in Echo Isles.

The next two years was filled with fighting and traveling. She sustained herself on whatever she could eat from the creatures she combated with(with the exception of sentient humanoids, of course). She hadn't become very strong, but she had in her enough determination to get what she needed done, and to fend off the creatures attacking her along her journey. It was when she turned 19 that she made it to a place called Dragonblight, and found a group called the Bloodsworn Honorguard. She wasn't exactly sure what they stood for, but what she heard about them sounded adventurous and exciting. She joined in on two of their missions, both quite daring and dangerous, perhaps a little too much. She would come back from the missions battered and having nearly gotten killed. Sure, it was a rush, but it was just too much for Kahla. She left the area, deciding to find a place to explore that was a little less extreme.

Her journey brought her to Booty Bay, where she decided to stick around. The place seemed interesting to her, she met a few people, and she found on more than one occasion she could get others to pay for her alcohol if she challenged them to a drinking contest(each one humorously lost). She had enjoyed being in the tavern and having drinking buddies, and since she was new to the place there were a lot of friends to be made. One of the people she met was a drug lord, Gatwazzak and some of his family. Since she had been staying around in Booty Bay, she decided to ask him for a job, and had become employed as a bruiser in the Bayside Flower Co. She had found a place that she could think of home, and people to be with. It wasn't entirely like having a family, but it would do, it would do.
