Jurok is a philosophical, asocial being. He prefers not to be aggressive or abrasive, but is quick to act should he deem it necessary. When in equilibrium he is quaint and quirky, often voicing his random thoughts to the amusement of others but the bemusement of himself. For an orc, he has elements of idiosyncrasy in that he likes to take social facets from other cultures and apply them to himself. Despite this, he is very interested in his ancient heritage and the legacy of Draenor's orcs. He even idolises some of the great heroes of aeons past and seeks to model himself by the Mag'har of today.

Respecting nature and the elements as primal forces of the world, he is careful not to step on the toes of them or their servants. Finding particular interest in the animistic side of his people, he takes traits from many different beasts and applies them to his own world philosophy. Although he is not wild, bestial or savage, he is slowly moving away from organized society and prefers the company of the wilds to that of large groups. Seeking to embody Lo'gosh in himself, he is proud and strong-willed, works well in a group and is protective of the weak.

Fiercely dedicated to his cause, he does not shy away from the fight when he decides it is necessary to do so. Jurok is a fine strategist and would be a fine military commander if he had the speech and sharp will to control a group. Above all things, he is wise beyond his years and takes full advantage of his clear mind and intelligent insight.

Jurok vehemently disagrees with the Horde's ideology. He dislikes the expansionist, militaristic movement of recent times and resents the war against the Kaldorei. He despises war in all its forms - combat is honourable, but senseless killing is futile. He wishes for peace; he knows full well that autarchy is impossible due to Orgrimmar's position.

History

Jurok was born in Nagrand to the Frostwolf clan. He was born in dangerous, choatic times; the clans had begun to splinter, the Draenei were being slaughtered and the Elements had abandoned his kind. His early youth was turbulent and lacking and he had no time to learn of his own culture or society, for when he was barely into teen years he was taken through the portal.

Jurok never got to the camps. Situating themselves in the high mountains of Alterac, they evaded capture by the humans and sought to relearn their shamanistic ways. Jurok grew up in a harsh, dangerous, but peaceful environment. Thrall came to his people and, with him, the orcs regained their freedom and ventured across the sea at the prophet's word.

Settling on Kalimdor, Jurok decided to learn the Shamanistic path as a response to the barren wastelands of Durotar and the Barrens. He wanted to help do his part and enlisted himself with an elder Shaman to travel the area around and help heal the world. He learned the trade of water and healing due to the lack of natural water in the homelands of the orcs, as well as the elemtent of Earth due to the abundance and ease of use to him- it was in his nature.

After finishing some training over a few months time, Jurok was no master Shaman. He left to travel around the area, becoming a nomad, healing the Earth where he could and honouring the spirits, aiding both the needy and the hungry.

A few months ago, Jurok was sent a missive requesting his aid; Kag'rin Sunderskull had noticed his potential for wisdom and Shamanistic skill, and had personally requested his aid for the Horde. Without a second thought, Jurok made his way to Splintertree Post and, among others, helped create the Deadeye Watchers. Serving as an advisor figure, Jurok found his new job difficult and straining, and he became self conscious that he was not performing well.

Jurok spent a while with the Watchers, advising and fighting to the fullest extent. His new-found powers brought him respect and wisdom, but with great power comes responsibility, and he soon broke under the stress. He became merciless and brutal, believing his power as a Shaman granted him the right to kill in cold blood. One such incident occurred in the company of his fellow Watchers, and they were shocked at what he had become. Gruum'gor Hellreave, an ally and valued friend of Jurok, was outraged, and threatened the Far Seer. Jurok retorted, and the argument soon turned violent. Jurok had given into rage and ordered the Elements to bring about Gruum's death. Yet, as he was to deliver the final blow, he felt the power drain from him. He tried again, and again, yet nothing happened. The Elements had abandoned him.

His time as a Shaman was not finished. He sought out the Throne once again, pledging himself to the spirits for their aid against the Legion. They gave him his wish and he returned to Azeroth to help quell the threat with the Watchers, and eventually moved to Felwood with them.
