History

Born to mostly loving parents in the midst of Stromgarde, June Emily Spencer grew up quiet and withdrawn in their worn down, patched roof old house. Her father worked as a fisherman, and her mother a clothworker. In the midst of the night, however, her father would stumble in the door with one hinge broken, a twisting wail throughout the house. The rain clapped on the windows and through the roof as he wandered in, meagerly drunk. June and her mother were awakened by the noise, getting up to see what had happened. June strayed her eyes as he marked upon her mothers body with blows and fists until she could not stand any longer. A routine built up, and June would no longer leave her bed in the night, the sounds carrying through the house with a melancholic dull muffling. She soon took up practice at the Church of the Holy Light, studying mostly by herself with tomes and books, with little input from the rest of the higher ranked Priests. She reclused into her study, simply not caring about the rest of anyone in particular.

June soon left Stromgarde without a word to anyone else, mostly unnoticed by anyone in particular. The city came under siege soon after, as she moved south to Stormwind, studying in Northshire Abbey and eventually becoming the Librarian Assistant. During her stay she learned that her spells to heal others ended up proving quite the opposite. Although they would be healed, it would be at the risk of great mental stress and twisting, as a side effect of her abilities. Her peers kept her on a more rigorous course of cleaning her mind from darkness, but she could not help what was coming along the ride with the healing. Her spare time was spent in the musty, earthen heavy library upstairs, as she came upon a locked tome with no script or depiction upon the front cover. It was a heavy tome, sheltered in the back, worn with the elements. The lock, possibly once robust, was easily broken as she opened the book. It was over the practice of shadow, kept in the locked back room away from the priests. She stole it away, vanishing herself from the library. It was in the dead of night, in the midst of the back library where she read it by candlelight, and was stricken with what it contained.

Her personality began to shift gradually, like a river did to the planet. What was kept here felt natural, alive. By the day she replaced it, so none would take notice. June mused over the things she had read, after believing all of them. How did we know where our planet came from? What truly was the Burning Legion, and how did they spawn? Her eyes were often accosted to the night sky and wondering what truly was beyond the stars. The residents of Azeroth knew of another planet beyond the stars, but there must have been many more. Her musing, plus the budding practice of shadow locked her in the library, surrounded by hundreds of marked books, tomes and burnt down candles. No longer would she practice her daftly forgotten Holy ways, rather to work with this mystic shadow and question everything she knew. How did the human race arrive? How were the Titans documented? She stole a rash number of books from the library when she could, returning them to her home in Stormwind.

Beliefs corrupted, shadow embedding through her twisting mind, June resides in Stormwind quietly, having not returned to the Abbey and it's lessened collection of books, enraptured in the stolen books and her own questions of what the world around them truly was.
