Personality

There is something that just isn't quite right about Jiro, perhaps it was all the hallucinogens, or maybe from a particularly harsh blow to the head. Whatever the case, it's left him so firmly entranced with the Loa spirits that he is both loves and fears them. Constantly he is waving his charms about, conversing with the Loa and speaking their will to others as well as protecting his fellow tribesmen from their wrath through sacrifices and spells. Jiro is the sort of troll who won't hesitate to sacrifice a non-tribe member or failing one being readily available mutilate himself in order to protect the spirit of a recently deceased friend. He firmly believes that the Loa speak to him and that whatever he does is done in their name, and thus he can never be wrong.

History

Jiro was born a young and eager troll, constantly exposed to the teachings of his father, a shaman who had made pacts with the Loa. As a young boy he was always at his father's side, learning about the spirits and inhaling hallucinogenic drugs of all varieties. It was a fairly good life for a young troll to live, and he eagerly followed in his father's footsteps, wanting to venerate the spirits in his own way. He wasn't fully prepared for such complicated things however, so instead his father put him to work brewing hallucinogens to trade with the local trolls.

It wasn't long before Jiro would make a mistake, creating a far more potent drug than had been expected which would see him drop into a coma for three days, all the while babbling away in his dreams. His father took this to be a good sign, that his son had been touched by the Loa and sure enough when he awoke he proclaimed that he heard the Loa speak and they had told him a great many things. From that day his father taught him all he knew, and it wasn't too long before he was a decent shaman in his own right, communing with the Loa and earning his own pacts.

Life was good until Thrall came. At first it was fine, in fact, he welcomed the orcs as they did so much for his tribe, but that was before Thrall's new laws. Cannibalism was outlawed, human sacrifices, even the Loa itself was frowned upon in this new Horde, and Jiro was terrified, terrified that the Loa would seek revenge on him and his tribe for abandoning the old customs. Jiro refused, but he knew better than to do so openly. He instead in public used the second best option, and whenever he could he drowned corpses in the name of the Loa, he burned hearts and he shrunk heads, but he knew deep down this was only half as effective as the old ways. At heart Jiro was a traditional troll, and so he set out into the wild searching for like-minded trolls. Unfortunately none would come his way, and he would eventually make his way back to Sen'jin, where he mopes about trying to make his brothers see how denying the old ways was leading to their doom.
