Personality

Jinet has a personality that can only be described as 'brisk'. Short spoken, but not soft spoken. A sharp wit and humor about her, usually pertaining to a brief comment made at a certain time. Observant, and honest about those obsersations. Never goes out of her way to offend, and isn't guilty of 'being so honest it happens by accident' either. However, if one wants to know her thoughts one something, but only the positive ones, they'd be best served to specify this.

Supportive while exhibiting many 'get the job done' personality quirks, she's good to have a round if good is the intent at all.

Abilities

Unfortunately for Jinet she is not the sort of mage who became a jack of all, or even high number of all, trades. She chose to focus on the pure arcane in her studies, and somehow the rewards of such study never really spilled over into the frost and fire areas. She can throw a fireball. She can throw an ice bolt. That's about it, and she prefers not to do either of those.

What Jinet is good at, even within the arcane, is relatively limited. Her talent remains in the realm of Translocation---abilities like 'Blink' and opening portals. Unfortunately, there aren't too many applications to this aside from personal use. The only other spell she's known to readily, easily, and effectively use are spell jamming abilities. Counterspells and such, things that are more the fruit of study than born talent and/or power.

History

Jinet's history is completely uneventful. She is a mage because she learned to be one. An introvert in early life, she found that books were an entertaining singular passtime. Eventually reading evolved into study, study evolved into practice and so on. She is, by and large, self taught. This does not mean she's some sort of amazing prodigy---actually, that fact shows boldly in the things she never learned.

Her fire spells singe her. Her frost spells make her ache from cold. She avoids them like the plague. She cannot use a wand. She cannot use magic as a shield. She cannot do a great many things that someone who had acquired a real teacher would have been able to do, and she's okay with that.

What she DOES do, works. Funding her own studies in Stormwind City, she tends toward the oft-relied-upon-and-generally-run-of-the-mill line of 'work' that gets one most often called a Mercenary. Most who deal with Jinet hardly consider her a 'mage' so much as an average hired hand who might have a few neato tricks and might be able to keep whomever she's working with from getting zapped too hard if a zapper is around.

Learning to use a sword, always light (she's not incredibly physically strong either), and coupling it with her almost-talent for jumping from place to place in a fray has kept her alive long enough for it to be worth the funding for her studies. Jinet often jokes that when it stops working, she won't have to worry about expenses anyway.

All and all, we have an average magically-inclined person. She's been doing what she does for years, and it's become a routine. She bares scars as a result, but they're all physical. Her parents are still alive, and also live in Stormwind. She's an only child.

She does not like her grand mother, who calls her a troubled child and has since she was seven years old.

Other

So you're wondering why her hair is gray. Runs in her family, perhaps the only thing actually worth note about her at all. She, of course, absolutely hates it. Jinet isn't a stunningly attractive woman to begin with, while avoiding being gruesome at the same time. She, since her hair began to gray at 18, has hated it but prefers it to being completely bald. [Note: It is not silver. It is not white. It is gray. Lack-of-shade gray. Maybe light, the only testament to her youth. Her mother, for example, has completely flat, sheenlessly gray hair. Jinet's is at least a bit glossy, but that will likely be gone within a few years.]
