Jaymes is a very calm man. But do not assume that makes him kind or gentle. He has the quiet, calm resolve of a killer that trusts in his abilities.

He speaks almost always in a very rough, menacing tone. He is quick to anger, but he doesn't always show it.

People that know him can tell when he is angry. A quickening of his breath, a furious glare in his gray eyes, hands straying towards the hilts of his swords. There are a few personal matters that will infuriate him, like talk of his past or anything related to Stormwind.

History

Jaymes Wartham was born in Stormwind to a simple family. His father was a Paladin, serving as a Knight of the Kingdom. His mother a priestess, working as a healer for the church.

All his life, Jaymes was taught about honor and the Light. His father believed in a strong code of Honor, taking an oath for the Knighthood. He survived the Wars, his father dying in one battle. His mother took him too Lordaeron during the Fall of Stormwind.

Not much to tell of this chapter in his life. He was angry and started training with the local boys, guards and warriors teaching them to fight. He grew up, training with swords and daggers, even shields. His mother decided to stay in Lordaeron when Jaymes traveled back to the new Stormwind.

He was a man now, a trained warrior. He swore fealty to the king of Stormwind, becoming a guard. For a few years, he served as one of the personal guards for a noble, one Lord Damas. They were traveling in Lordaeron, to the new estate of Lord Damas, when a group of undead attacked them. This was Jaymes's first encounter with the monsters, but he held his own.

It was a month after they arrived at the estate, when Lord Damas was murdered in his bed. No one knows what happened. The guards found one of their own, Jaymes, standing over the body of Damas, drenched in the Lord's blood, holding a sword.. A sword covered in the life essence of Lord Damas.

Jaymes Wartham was branded a murderer. The guards arrested him and he was to be taken too Stormwind. The trip was risky, due to undead roaming the land, but the man had to stand trial.

Wether it was by luck or fate, Jaymes escaped. He was sitting atop a horse, his hands bound. They were riding through Khaz Modan, and stopped to make camp for the night. He was bound to a tree nearby, he was desperate. No one listened to him, so he had stopped explaining, now he had to get away.

As he was trying to wriggle his hands free, he felt a presence behind him. “Stay still and follow me once they look away..” A voice whispered. Jaymes felt the bonds being cut, but kept his hands back. Once the men went to sleep, all but one who stood watch, Jaymes slowly crept through the woods, following the mysterious figure.

The stranger led him too his companions, three others. They explained that they were all outlaws, banished from their homes or fled on their own. They helped Jaymes escape, and together they traveled to Menethil Harbor.

For years these people traveled, hiding aboard a ship going to Kalimdor, traveling the wilds, remaining unseen. They became the best of friends, and from almost the beginning of their growing friendship, they looked to Jaymes for leadership.

They met all sorts of people, some joining them on their travels. Jaymes wanted to free more people, like his friends had done for him a few years back. They found themselves growing in numbers, becoming a well sized group.

Wastelanders, Jaymes thougt. He spoke of his ideas to the rest and they agreed. They had become like a family, and they were still growing in numbers. Electing Jaymes as their leader they traveled around Kalimdor.

These days the live mainly in Tanaris, having been there for quite some time. While they still wander about the wild continent, they consider the desert their home. Jaymes welcomes any who would like a refuge, those that are not welcome anywhere else. But be careful, he is not quick to trust you. Not anyone can expect to just stumble into their midst and expect to be taken in on a whim.
