Appearance

His silver/white helmet, padded on the inside. Goggles built into the visor for practicality. A white robe lined with fur for the snow, and a regular brawler's harness underneath. Simple pants, usually of either green, red, or white. Headband at all times. He has a gun made out of mostly bone, except for parts that are necessary to be metal such as the stock. [edit]Personality

Jarvi's a feisty gnome, preferring action over politics. A few well placed punches and maybe a gun shot or two can be much more substantial than hours on end of talking. He craves action, which is why he became a big game hunter in the first place. His inventions occupy a vast amount of his time, and as such, he's not too much of a people person. Cursing and shouting is common place.

History

Born to a well off tinkering family, Jarvi lived a rather luxurious life. He had unlimited supplies for any engineering venture he had for the first 117 years of his life (assuming the information I found of Gnomer being destroyed at year 25 is correct). His whole family lived under one roof, with their engineering store connected to the house. He grew extremely close to his family mainly due to proximity, but was always somewhat of a loner. They were all extremely meticulous thinkers, spending their whole lives on one device. They also showed a bit of that 'gnomish spark,' the kind that has given way to the poultryizer, and other such devices.

Jarvi however, was more drawn to explosives, chatter-blades (chainsaws), and guns. He was, at heart, meant to fight. And, his fighting style was much more similar to that of a goblin rather than a gnome, which is why he eventually moved to Ratchet (more about that later). Also quite different from his family was his choice of acquaintances. Being of a rather wealthy family as I have stated, the Extrawrench family surrounded themselves with other people of their social caste. Jarvi decided to take his engineering to the next level, and actually use it in combat which he had been longing for, for, well... As long as he could remember.

Jarvi joined the gnomish military as a demolitions expert, but his true calling was that of the gun. Be it a long rifle, shot gun, or pistol. Eventually he appealed for a transfer into the ranged division of the army, and was accepted after several months of waiting. He still loved explosives, and used them quite often, but being in the ranged division, he let them fall by the way side.

Fast forward ten years to the fall of Gnomeregan, and Jarvi had grown rather sedentary. He had not been called to help in any of the fighting in the 'numbered wars' (as they have been dubbed), and he had obviously not seen too much combat smack dab in the middle of a near impenetrable underground city of the most ingenious race to grace Azeroth. As such, he had grown rusty with his skill in the rifle, and when the time came to defend his city, he was on temporary leave to take care of his aging father.

When the troggs invaded Jarvi jumped into his uniform, and defended his home valiantly along with his family. The older members stayed on the second floor, holding the troggs off with an arsenal of gnomish weaponry which they gathered from their shop below. As the military force swept by, the family evacuated along with thousands of other gnomes, but they were almost the last in the surge of people being evacuated at the time. Troggs surged from a new cavern in the side of a nearby tunnel, and began to rip apart the gnomes at the tail of the crowd.

Jarvi had to help his father (who had a bad limp and a cane at the time), and as such lagged behind a bit. The troggs were on them soon enough, and jarvi was knocked unconscious by a large club. His father was ushered on by a large dwarf who was apparently visiting when the attack had started, and was thankfully brought to safety.

Jarvi woke up several hours later in a street full of bloodied corpses. Gnomish and trogg alike. Realizing his predicament, he sprinted back to his nearby house and grabbed his mechanostrider. After a few extremely close calls to running into trogg patrols, Jarvi managed to get to one of the entrances to the numerous vents in the city. With the help of two daggers used much akin to an ice pick, the gnome crawled out of gnomeregan into the blistering cold of Dun Morogh. He camped on a large hill to the east of Gnomeregan, and witnessed as the green gasses of the explosion Sicco had set off escaped his city. Within twenty minutes hundreds of irradiated gnomes rushed from the mouth of his beloved city.

Jarvi blamed the death of his father (who wasn't really dead, only saved while Jarvi had been unconscious) on himself, thinking that if he had continued to train in engineering, and not grown lazy with his shooting, that he could have saved him. With that, and the mentality of go after anything larger than life (which the gnomish military had instilled into him), he headed south to The Vale, and began to hunt basilisks, tigers, gorillas, and even the trolls who lived there. Thinking his training in shooting would never be enough, and constantly trying to hone his skills, he moved to larger and larger game.

Since the fall, Jarvi has travelled from Silithus to hunt the Silithid who live there, to Northrend to hunt the giant Mammoths who live there (much to the dismay of D.E.H.T.A.). After an extended trip from Un'Goro, Jarvi learned that Gnomeregan was in the process of being reclaimed, and figured what use would his new skills be if he wasn't using them to protect his people. With that (and the memory of his father) in mind, Jarvi took a ship from Ratchet to Stormwind, and traveled to Gnomeregan via Tram. Here he had joined a group of Gnomes attempting to retake Gnomeregan which failed; Disgruntled, he moved back into the Stranglethorn Vale where he works on his machines and other devices.
