Often in colorful robes of many sorts. it is rare to see her in otherwise.

Other: She does not speak fluent Common, which often leads people to believe she is retarded. This is not true. She is also very naive and not very knowledgeable about the world. She's not an idiot, simply unlearned.

Personality

Jaidean is a very bubbly and cheerful person by nature, and is inviting to most people. The exceptions are Orcs, Trolls, and anything too much taller than a Human and look inhuman. She considers such people to be 'monsters' until it is proven otherwise. She also seems to have the impression that Night Elves are some sort of Troll. This is due to her lack of worldly knowledge, not to complete ignorance. However, she is not put off by even Death Knights easily. She find their eyes to be pretty, as blue is her favorite color.

Jaidean is also very curious about things she doesn't know and will often ask questions others might find stupid. She has a thirst for knowledge and friendship. She seeks to help out in the Alliance cause in any way she can, having had it ingrained into her mind that it is her duty to do what she can for the Alliance.

History

Jaidean was born to two very paranoid Gnomes near Gnomeregan. They loved her very much, but feared to allow her into the often harsh outside world, and thus kept her locked in the house at all times. They raised her lovingly, giving her the best toys they could afford, and her mother taught her the basics of arcane magic when she was old enough. After some time, Jaidean showed great potential with the arcane magic, and peculiarly, her eyes seemed to glow slightly as she used it, and while it was deemed a simple effect from the channeling of arcane energies, it made her mother proud. She also showed potential in enchanting, which was what her mother did for a living.

She grew up learning from books, which had been 'modified' by her paranoid and often prejudiced parents. For example, several pages were torn out of books containing information on the known races of the world. Her parents didn't like High Elves very much. They didn't like Orcs or Trolls either, but feared that when they died, she might need to know about them. However, they made sure she knew exactly how savage and nasty and violent they were. A plague upon freedom and life, as it were. Jaidean was oblivious to the modifications, simply soaking it in as fact. After all, why would her parents lie to her?

So this continued, and as she grew older, she remained mostly the same, except each year her thirst for friends grew stronger, as she'd never had any contact with the outside world. She simply read about it. It was not until the invasion of Gnomeregan that she made contact with the outside world. It was also during this time that her mother died. Her father said her mother had simply died of age, but the truth had been she'd been trying to fight the troggs and such in Gnomeregan. Jaidean and her father were forced to move, and they got another house near Ironforge, and it began again. However, her father began new lessons, teaching her Common. She was slow to pick up on it, but gradually made progress.

Several years after the events of the Scourge and Burning Legion, to which she was oblivious, she woke up one morning to find her father not yet awake. It was odd to her, as he was always awake before her. She found him in a rocking chair that he loved so much, with a note on the table next to him with her name on it. She prodded her father a few times, frowning, calling out at him loudly. Then she took the note and read it. It said, "Jaidean, my beloved daughter, I fear I have failed to prepare you properly for this moment. As I write this, I know my time is running short. When you wake up, I shall have passed away, and you must fend for yourself. I hope we have taught you enough to survive out there, in the world, where we feared you must one day go. We have sheltered you from it for as long as possible, and kept you happy. But now you must venture forth, and find your destiny. The key to get out of the house is with the letter. Take whatever supplies from the house, and do not tarry. Head to Ironforge, and from there... Fate shall guide you. I shall love you always, beyond death. Goodbye."

Crying profusely, Jaidean none-the-less did as her father's last words instructed. A whole new world was open to her. (After this starts where I started playing the character)
