Personality

Jaedyn began as the true essence of arrogance. He was loud, cocky, and eager to show his prowess and dominance in any sort of combat he could. He'd seek out the recognition and respect of victory also seeking the adrenaline rush of a good fight. His temper was incorrigible.

Over time, it partially evolved into something reckless, and almost careless. Any battle, even if at bad odds (such as having a previous injury, being outnumbered, etc) was a good battle. He cared little for connections of social type, only and only seeking to find a foe. Still, though, his temper often gained the better of him, leading him to make some uneven decisions and actions.

As he grew, Jaedyn became much less tense. Many situations in life put him into the mindset that he needed to find: The mindset that battle wasn't everything. At this time, Jaedyn began to explore different emotions, such as caring, love, and respect for others. This is also the time that his temper calmed the most, allowing him to be levelheaded and clear most of the time.

Now Jaedyn, an entirely different troll, holds these values. Out of combat, he tries to be very relaxed and friendly. He often jokes, making light of situations that would have angered him in previous stages of his life. He values honor and respect, and goes out of his way to do what he can to aid his friends if they need it. He controls his temper and rage much like a hunter would control his pet, rarely ever giving in to the temptation of ridiculous anger.

Alignment: Lawful Evil

History

Jaedyn was born on the Isles, much like every other troll. His father, a yellow coward, abandoned the family when Jaedyn was born. Nothing truly important happened to Jaedyn, being raised with the same teachings as his peers: Hunting, tracking, and living off the land.

Jaedyn and his mother were both involved in Thrall's crossing, and helped his efforts during his Exodus. He and his mother both aided the creation of the basis of what would be Orgrimmar, but eventually went on their own way. With the help of some friends of the family, Jaedyn and his mother were able to erect a small hut on the Southfury River border.

After nearly a year had passed, the life-altering event transpired. A Dark Shaman found way to Jaedyn's home, using his bullied elements to torture and humiliate his mother. Being a young troll, there was little Jaedyn could do except to watch, being forced by the overpowering orc.

When the Shaman was through with his bidding, he murdered the low and mutilated mother. In this time, Jaedyn was able to make his daring and swift escape. He took little time as he sprinted, covering ground at a fast rate. It became apparent later on that the Shaman hadn't wished to kill Jaedyn, because he could have if he had so wished. Still, though, this left Jaedyn in the wilds of the Barrens, across the river, with nothing but a blunted tomahawk and his previously-learned skills.

Jaedyn managed to stay alive, braving the elements and the land, for another rough year. He accomplished this alone, until the year had passed. Jaedyn met an orc in the Barrens, an orc named Grukk. Grukk was also an orphan, both parents dead. While Jaedyn was driven to the Barrens, Grukk chose this region as the place he'd wander, lost and untouched by motivations.

The two almost naturally came together. They showed traits of what they needed in each other, Grukk with honor and respect, Jaedyn with the determination to survive. They became friends, soon journeying together, braving the lands of the Barrens with each other.

After some time, though, Jaedyn awoke to find Grukk stealing rations. In a reckless temper fit, Jaedyn struck the orc down. Again, the troll began running, only carrying what he dared would not slow him down. After some time, Jaedyn came upon a stone path, and he walked. He followed the path for about a day, setting small camps appropriately as he needed to. Eventually, he came to the end of his path: Ratchet.

Jaedyn was intrigued by the goblin port, interested by all the fascinating cultures and people therein. Convinced, though, that the smoggy-smelling port was nothing but trouble, he continued on down the Southfury coastline, coming to where he had originally started: Orgrimmar. He entered the back doors, viewing for the first time the city that he, in a very small part, helped to create.

He spent a short time exploring the area of Orgrimmar that he passed through, although not entirely focused on enjoying the splendor of the city. Jaedyn soon traded what provisions he had for food at various vendor markets, and was left with little to his name as he found the goblin, standing aside the bank.

The goblin, as Jaedyn would later discover, was an arena promoter. He worked under a manager, and his job was to find contestants to enter the arena. It took little to encourage Jaedyn, as he had nothing left for him in the land of Durotar, so he accepted the offer of the goblin. He agreed to become a combatant.

Jaedyn, now allured with promises of fame, glory, and money, followed the goblin as he routed through Ratchet, then onto the soonest ship to sail to Booty Bay. Landing here, Jaedyn traveled through the glorious Stranglethorn Vale, the splendorous colors and smells attacking his senses. He fell in love with the region immediately.

Jaedyn was put into the Gurubashi Arena at once. While he struggled at first, only time brought the success the troll so badly craved. Using sharp wits and the lurking determination in his mind, Jaedyn chased every victory as fervently as if it would be his last. The troll sought only what was promised: to forge an iron legacy of bloodshed and fame through victory.

Jaedyn fought in the arena for approximately four years, then taking his savings and shattering the contract with the goblin. He vowed never again to enter the arena under contract. He intended to go on his own way, but soon realized that he couldn't fit into society with his constant anxiety and coping problems. More frustrated than anything, Jaedyn frequently returned to the arena, battling whatever foes came by.

After some time, Jaedyn heard news tossed around Booty Bay of a group of horde militants, the Deadeye Watchers. He traveled to Ashenvale, to the Splintertree Post, aligning himself with this unit. Although he still struggled socially, he made some friends and continued to fight, keeping both him and his companions in good health.

Upon asking for entrance to this group, Jaedyn was denied for his inability to work well with others, upon many other reasons. Distraught and angered, Jaedyn went on another journey, only having himself to lament upon.

Through his involvement with the Deadeye Watchers, Jaedyn came into an involvement with a certain Rekka, a female orc with a strong fist. Although Rekka had little feelings for Jaedyn beyond that of a friend, Jaedyn latched onto this woman, seeking to fill the empty feminine-role-model role that was left gaping when his mother was murdered. Because of his quick feelings and inability to express them, he made short work of the two of them. After being rejected by the Deadeye Watchers, to which Rekka belonged, Jaedyn traveled back to Durotar, back to Orgrimmar.

There was interaction between Jaedyn and Rekka, but little besides him wanting to express himself but just being too frustrated. He pushed the two further from each other, much and entirely by his own doing. Through these unfortunate events, Jaedyn subtly strengthened his coping abilities. Unknown to himself or Rekka at the time, this chain of confusion and anger from Jaedyn would lead to the basis of his goodwill and calm mind that he'd claim later in life.

Much time passed with little events. Jaedyn found his way back to Booty Bay again, and spent nearly all of his time around or inside the arena. He fought whatever combatants came his way, still relishing in the glory of victory.

After another long bout of time, Jaedyn was beginning to develop a much more relaxed, understanding profile. He took this opportunity to, again, wander. He briefly encountered Rekka at a post in Felwood, and only expressed kind feelings. While this, again, may not have drastically impacted Rekka, it was a great thing to Jaedyn. He then ventured and continued to explore other new, interesting lands. A long while passed, and Jaedyn continued his uneventful exploring. He saw much of the world he hadn't before, and was experiencing something glorious before the inevitable happened; evil befell the troll.

Jaedyn was kidnapped, thrown into a cave with many others of all genders and races. While he did have quite a fit upon awaking, Jaedyn soon discovered that Rekka was also in the cave. She helped him to calm down and understand, and this is when Jaedyn truly began to turn his mind around. Being stuck in the cave with all of the scared and frightened people only motivated Jaedyn to be stronger. He took this time to also express what feelings he hadn't shared with Rekka, although she had already taken Teztez as a mate at this time. Jaedyn accepted friendship, glad to be in acquaintance with the orc at all.

While in the cave, Jaedyn entered the mentality that he had to work with the others to stay alive. Instead of being anti-social and frustrated, he was instead open and kind to all those in the cave with him. He attempted to act more as a guardian than something else to be afraid of. This worked to his favor, eventually finding way out of the cave. Since then, Jaedyn has reunited with several people he had become friends with inside the cave. He has found a sort of peace over his life, and is much more social. He has also reunited with Rekka, asking her to become part of what is now her Deadeye Watchers, to which she agreed.

Much time has passed with little to no events. Jaedyn has had his fights come and pass, but does little in the arena now. Instead, he spends most of his time around Durotar or Desolation Hold, being on post with the Deadeye Watchers. He still develops a better control over his temper and his mind, trying to become the friendliest person that he can manage to be.

The tale continues to be written.

Skills and Abilities

Funneled Rage - Being a learned berserker, Jaedyn is able to funnel his rage in combat to make him much more relentless in his fighting. Not only does this stem from pure rage, but it also comes from pain and adrenaline spikes.

Many Winds - Due to his experience in fighting, Jaedyn's mind knows to act stronger and faster as a battle nears an end. Because of this, Jaedyn is prone to second- and possible third-winds during his fights, determined to win. While this also makes him more relentless, this makes him much more apt to take injury, and long-term his body may take longer to recuperate from this.

Berserk - As is the natural ability to berserkers, Jaedyn has the ability to enter a Berserkering cycle. At the bottom of this cycle, his Funneled Rage and Many Winds are more likely to occur. At the peak of this cycle, Jaedyn almost entirely loses himself, entering a trance-like state as he disregards his surroundings to mercilessly bring destruction to his foe(s). This 'cycle' usually does not last more than a few minutes, as it is very strenuous on his mind and body both. This 'cycle' can also take a larger toll on him, making him less likely to be able to follow through with Funneled Rage and Many Winds.

  • It's to note that these abilities aren't used in every fight that Jaedyn is in. Rarely does he ever allow himself to fully enter a Berserk cycle, because he knows the risks it poses to himself and others. The first two skills, though, are much more commonplace.
