Personality

Isahira is somewhat mistrusting of other races, a common trait among the Kaldorei, though she attempts to give each person a chance to show their true colors. She is always driven by a curious fascination with them; some might speculate it is due to her youth by Kaldorei standards. In general she seems to be a little shy even near small groups of people, and at the same time she is almost studying them. To those that end up getting to know her, will either learn that once her trust has been built up she is supportive as long as nature is not harmed recklessly, and she is a little more open to the ones she knows.

Though shy or even a little stoic, she rarely smiles or laughs; however she is not afraid to show her smile and share her laughter around friends so long as she is not made uncomfortable by an outsider. She rather just lay low and watch everything as they happen, especially when surrounded by the wonders of nature. Rarely would you find her in any city for too long. She doesn't look too kindly upon males, but often refrains from saying anything crude to them. More or less she is a calm elf, but can give a cold shoulder to those that she feels deserve it but rarely does she actually get angry. When she does become angry it is almost a feral rage, but this side is not often seen, as to make her angry is very difficult. More than often she will just walk away before it comes to this point.

History

Isahira lived with her father Tanavar, her mother Meridia and her older sister Nevarial. She was born late in the Age of Mortals in Ashenvale, raised in seclusion with her sister away from the events going on outside their borders. As the first century passed, everything was peaceful, both Isahira and Naverial held to the core of the Kaldorei beliefs, learning of nature from their father, whom was a druid, and physical training from their mother who was one of the sentinels. Naverial and Isahira were very close and there was rarely a day where the two did not walk together; but soon things changed as Naverial tried to step down the path of Elune as a priestess in training. This left Isahira alone. She never seemed to make any friends, and the events of the world began to instill worry in her heart.

One day, Meridia notice Isahira lying in the grass while singing an old song in praise to Elune quietly. Meridia walked to Isahira's side and smiled a little as she kneeled down. "Isahira my child, you still have not decided which path to take?"Isahira looked over at her and shook her head faintly.

"No Mother, while I praise Elune above all else, I would rather support Neverial than take a role beside her". Meridia look thoughtful for a moment then sighed before talking in a gentle but firm tone. "You need to choose Isahira, you have to support our cause, and especially in these uncertain times. What do you say about me teaching you how to fight, and you could become a Sentinel?"

Isahira agreed, and soon after her training started; but not as Meridia had hoped. It soon became clear that Isahira had no real talent in weapon use. She was clumsy and imprecise with her sword and nearly hit someone by accident with her bow and arrow. This left her mother at a loss. She spoke to Tanavar about Isahira, worried about what she would do. He advised her to let Isahira stop the training and told her that she will find her place when the time is right.

Some years went by and Isharia still had not chosen a respectable path that could make her parent proud. She often lingered around the edge of the village in the forest. One day her Father and sister came along and Isahira enjoyed the hours with her sister, it had become rare to see her after she had begun the priestess training. At the end of the day Nerveriel went back to her training and Tanavar sat down next to Isahira. "You are very spiritual Isahira, you always believe strongly in Elune and support your sister but you need to find your own path." Isahira give a faint sigh then smiled faintly as she spoke up gently. "I know I must choose my path but -"Her words were cut off by Tanavar.

"Your sister and I have been watching you, and I feel we have an idea that will suit you. What if I taught you the ways of the Emerald Dream?" Isahira looked oddly at her father, at first the idea sounded strange; it was a male position to be a druid after all. She glanced towards the moon in thought then Tanavar sighed and continued. "Even if this will make me look like a fool among the others, I believe the path is fitting for you Isahira, your ways of spirituality will likely will be an asset to our cause; but to grow takes patience and time you likely will face hard meaning about this from others"

In the end Isahira agreed and her training began. Attuning herself to Nature itself; this time she was showed potential. Over the years she slowly gained somewhat a talent, despite the strangeness of a female becoming a druid in Kaldorei society. It made her more aware of her own gender, and she slowly formed a stronger feeling towards the males being below her. Often the other females would give her a strange glance and males often haunted her as they told she should give up but instead she ended wanting to prove even a female could prosper on this area. It drove her to try harder during the training and many of the other druids did not wish to aid her training. Her father slowly taught her how to meditate and center herself in the forces of nature, and ask it for its gifts.. She was often with him, out traveling through the forest where they helped animals and plants. She only successfully entered the Emerald Dream a very few times; she still had much to learn.

Years passed and the Age of the Third War came around. Isahira had grown into a more mature stature though her training but she was still not as great as she dreamed to become. The time brought about more tense feeling among the Kaldorei as they were forced into action. One day her parents and sister walked with Isahira toward another druid's home, but this time there was no smiling or laughing. Isahira's entire family had been summon to the war effort; her mother as a soldier, her father as an adviser, even her sister as a priestess and healer. As they reached the small home the older druid stood waiting. Isahira turned to her sister and held out a silver necklace with Elune's symbol on it. "I got this for you Nerveriel, as a good luck charm and reminder that I am waiting for your return." She took it; Isahira watched as her family as they departed, a small tear fell as she made a prayer to Elune for their safety. The old druid never told her his name; she just knew he was a friend to her father and that she was going to keep training under him.

Two years had passed when a sentinel approached the old druid's hut, whispering something to him in his ear. Sadly he stepped towards Isahira and placed a hand on her shoulder, giving a small squeeze as he solemnly broke the news of her parents' death to her. She froze on the spot in disbelief. When she had completely choked down the grave news she looked down and began to cry. The news shocked her, sadness and anger began to rise deep within her heart. The Burning Legion would pay. She accepted the loss; it was after all, just a part of the balance. Isahira then asked about her sister and the old druid gave a small smile before replying that she still should be alive since he had no bad news of her. Isahira took some comfort in that.

As everything grew worse, not to mention the loss of Immortality that sent various mix feeling through the Keldorei, Isahira found herself forced, as many others, to travel to Teldrassil and build a new home. She had a hard time grasping what happened and was confused; but she knew one thing, she had to follow the others. Just as she and her old mentor were ready to leave for Teldrassil, more bad news came. Nerveriel was missing in action. The necklace Isahira had given Nerveriel was returned by the messenger, saying it was the only thing they could find. In shock and full of sorrow, she placed the necklace around her own neck, and continued on her way to the Night Elf capital.

During the time at Teldrassil, her curiosity took hold and she began to explore, noting various troubles around the beautiful capital. She started to believe that the answers she sought might be found outside Teldrassil, among the younger races. A small part of her hoped she could find news of her missing sister. In the end she started to prepare herself, to leave Teldrassil's border in her long search; only having her Druidic training and faith in Elune to accompany her. As she packed her small bag the old druid stepped out from the shadows and watched, giving a long drawn out sigh. "Have our people not suffered enough loss? Now you must leave your place as well my young student?” Isahira turned and gave him a small smile.

"Shan'do... I have to do this; I believe I might be able to learn to understand how it is outside our borders and how the younger races are, and how they do things. I believe there is a chance we could learn something that might help us." The older druid leaned on his staff and looked at her in silence for a short moment before speaking up.

"The Emerald Dream guides and shows us different things, this cannot be helped. I will not stop you; instead I will send you on your way with a little advice and a gift." He took a carved staff and handed it to her. It was rough and natural. She took it with a small smile before the old druid continued speaking. "If you are sure about this journey my young one, then travel to the island nearby and explore. Perhaps you will find something new and interesting as well as discover the blights of the land; but know I cannot say more the dream was vague." Isahira said her farewells and started on her journey from her new home; her first stop was to discover the big picture of the overall situation of Teldrassil.
