Appearance

Isadora is a small, attractive young lady with large, brightly colored eyes, pale skin, pouty lips, and long black hair. (These features make her easy to recognize.) Her face is round with smooth, soft features. Her physique is rather curvy, given her small size, with her hips arguably being her most prominent bodily feature.

Her most common attire consists of your stock white priest’s robe, a handmade dress shirt, and a pair of soft leather boots. Though, on occasion, she’s been known to wear a brown jacket in the iconic Gilnean style.

Other: While she isn’t much in the way of makeup or jewelry, Isadora does wear a modest amount of eye shadow along with a pair of hoop earrings and a small silver cross on a necklace.

Personality

Isadora is a kind, gentle soul with a love for the world. With nary a single selfish thought, few can stand up to her endearing childlike innocence, infectious smile, or motherly nurturing. She wants only for the good of others, and works diligently towards that end. She is very shy, but still quite open and social on a personal level. Crowds, however, make her nervous and frightened, especially around men.

Being a devote follower of the Light, Isadora is a pacifist, and thus has renounced all forms of violence. She firmly believes the world can be saved through kindness and love. (Perhaps even to a fault)

Alignment: Lawful good

History

Isadora was an orphan. Born to unknowns, and left on the doorstep of the Church of Holy Light in Gilneas City. She was raised in the cloister and brought up on the teachings of the Light, Isadora lived a happy, albeit heavily sheltered life. She embraced the Light early on, and has never looked back.

Something that became evident early in childhood was Isadora’s physical frailty. At the age of five, she became deathly ill with a sudden fever, and for weeks it looked as though she wasn’t going to survive. By faith, by luck, or by the skill of the healers, she managed to survive that trying time, though the damage had already been done. Isadora’s body was so weakened that she was forbidden from playing with other children or venturing outside without her nurse. The resulting lack of contact with others her age left her very shy and timid, but also awoke in her a deep love of knowledge and forgotten lore. It also brought out an adventurous, and somewhat mischievous, side in her, as she strived to get away from the ever watchfulness of her nurse.

When she wasn’t sneaking off to explore, Isadora was pouring over volume after volume tomes both old and recent, common and rare. And through this love of reading she discovered magic and alchemy. Though she couldn’t actually cast spells or concoct potions, she still studied these things diligently for just about her entire childhood.

Isadora lived a happy, carefree life reading her books, mastering potion making, and tending to the city’s needy in any way she could. Utterly oblivious to the comings and goings of politics, of war, or even the construction of Greymane’s Wall. All of that changed the day the Cataclysm struck. In the blink of an eye, her quiet and peaceful life was torn asunder as the Greymane Wall came crashing down. Gilneas burned as undead invaded and werewolves rampaged. Isadora, along with the other priests, did what they could to help, treating wounds and offering prayers to those who needed it, but ultimately the cause was lost. The population was order to evacuate by sea to neighboring Darnassus and Stormwind by sea. Many things were lost during the evacuation, and amidst the pandemonium, Isadora was left behind in the war torn land.

Perhaps in a panic, or out of some childish instinct, Isadora fled back to Gilneas City -- to the church where she had spent all her twenty years. And there she hid, praying day and night to the Light for protection and surviving off whatever scraps she could find in the cloister. Living with the stress of survival and fear of the forsaken took its toll on the young girl, causing her already unstable health to deteriorate.

However, just as she was about to give into despair, Isadora’s prayers were answered. She was discovered by soldiers from the Gilneas Liberation Front, who took her back with them and restored her to wellness. Feeling an immeasurable amount of gratitude, Isadora decided to stay with the Gilnean soldiers and aid them however she could. She couldn’t cast spells just yet, but she could still treat wounds and brew potions. Though some might say her warm smile and motherly tenderness did more then any of that.

Skills and Abilities

Because of her youth and inexperience, Isadora is unable to cast spells. To compensate and still contribute to the Light’s cause, she brews various kinds of potions, salves, and other such concoctions with benevolent effects. To this end, she has become something of the alchemist. She is also very well spoken, articulate, and generally has an easy time communicating her thoughts to others. She is intelligent, witty, and can easily think on her feet. Isadora is also an adept tailor and, despite her outward shyness, can sing fairly well.

Despite these traits, Isadora is not without flaw. Her body is frail and susceptible to illness. In addition, her small size makes her physically very weak. Her love for books and interest in lore also hasn’t done anything to improve her health.
