History

Mafris Hiloth's childhood was an eventful one, he'd spend many days out in the woods with his friends playing 'Adventure' and such. They'd have grand little adventures, making their way from creeks to the woods and would play for hours on end. That all changed when Mafris' best friend, Harrold Gaurdner was murdered by a small group of forest trolls in the north.

Mafris and the rest of his friends, awe stricken and frightened, ran quickly to the nearest farm to ask for help. And a few armed farmers and a Lordaeron patrol came to search for the young boys body, and to slay the trolls.

The patrol and farmers found the boys body, and killed the trolls. After this happening, Mafris decided that he would follow the ways of the light. But he'd not become a priest, he wanted to ensure his safety and the safety of those around him. So one day he made his way to the City of Stratholme and made way to the Chapel there and ask to study as a squire.

For many years Mafris Hiloth, Squire to a now dead knight, trained and trained. The knight that he was squired to was named Marcus Ingrime, he tought Mafris everything he knows today.

Untill about twenty-four years ago, Mafris had hardly any combat experience. When the second war had started, Mafris was no longer a squire to Marcus, but a good friend and Paladin. When the orcs began their rampage to throughout the north, Marfris and Marcus went to battle in defense of their great land.

For years, the Second War turned Mafris into a battle hardened machine. When Thoradin's wall was seiged and felled, Mafris' old friend and mentor was killed. And it was an unfortunate death, he did not die a good death. Stricken down by a balista bolt, he laid dying only to be curb-stomped by an enraged orc. Mafris tried to come to the aid of his friend but came to late.

When the Second War ended, the orcs put into camps around the lands, Mafris finally settled down for a while in the capital city. When news came of a strange plague infecting the people of Stratholme, he went to check it out.

When he had learned of Prince Arthas and his forces purging Stratholme his heart sank, his parents had moved to Stratholme. He made his way to the small chapel of the Light in the far east, Light's Hope. He prayed for the souls of his parents and friends.

It wasn't long that the undead began to ravage the north. Mafris once again made his way to the chapel to find that there were quite a few refuges. He had helped them for a very long time. When the Scarlet Crusade seemed as if it would buckle upon itself, members began to leave after hearing the words of the late High Inquisitor Fairbanks. They made their way to the Light's Hope Chapel and started the Argent Dawn, Mafris wanted to be apart of it.

He proved himself and was let in. When the necropolis' of Naxxramas and Acherus switched regions, trouble began. Acherus laid siege to Havenshire and Tyr's Hand. And then eventually they made their way to Light's Hope, Mafris was horrified that the Scourge outnumbered them 10 to 1. But his heart and courage stood strong as members of the Dawn and civilians were slain left and right.

When the battle was over, Mafris was shockingly surprised he had survived with only bruises and cuts. He helped the injured soldiers away from the surrendering death knights, completely ignoring the events upholding.

Mafris Hiloth now resides at the Argent Dawn base of Light's Hope Chapel.
