Personality

- Hilda would likely be considered an average dwarven woman by most accounts. And as any good follower of the Holy Light, she believes firmly in her duty to her people and those in need. Though generally mild of nature, she can be very vocal and outspoken about her opinions if asked (and sometimes even when not). She has a gentle sense of humor, though slightly sarcastic at times. She loves a good laugh and will generally attempt to make light of a grave situation if it can improve the overall mood of it.

She tends to put a great deal of effort into upholding dwarven traditions, and takes great pride in her heritage and the history of her race. Believing that dwarves are only truly dwarves as long as they pay respects to their elders, the royal family, and their age-old society as a whole.

The many years of constant warfare and conflict has left her mistrustful towards the Horde in no small degree, choosing to regard most of them with reserved suspicion until their intentions have been fully proven. She feels uneasy around Forsaken, and will avoid them if she has any choice in the matter.

History

- Born in Ironforge, she grew up as the youngest daughter in a small tight-knit clan. Her upbringing was one of safety and relative comfort while the wars of man and orc raged on outside the dwarven kingdoms. Little changed until the times when a grand call to arms was issued across the nation to protect the borders against Dark Iron intrusions. Hilda, then on the verge of adulthood, answered that call filled with eagerness and national pride, ready to prove herself every bit as worthy as she thought herself to be.

Though her youthful vigour was quickly dampened, as she was deemed unsuited to serve in the military as a combatant due to her age. Stating her willingness to fight with furious indignation, she was eventually allowed to partake in battle as a healer, showing aptitude for mending wounds and broken bones while managing to keep a clear head even in the thick of bloodshed. It was during these troubled times that her connection to the Light began to materialize itself, and her future as a priest was decided. (It was also during this time that she took up pipe smoking, in a silly attempt to fit in with the older, more experienced dwarves)

After three years of service within the Church of Ironforge, she asked to be sent to Stormwind. Hungry for adventure and a change of scenery, she took her duties as a priest to the Cathedral of Light where she served diligently for another year. She returned to Ironforge as the war in the North escalated, seeking to do more for her people and the Alliance. She had long dreamed of standing in the front lines of battle, and now sought to thread the path of those valiant armor-clad souls who had defined the Three Virtues in decades past; the Paladins of the Silver Hand. Although it was no easy task, she found that learning the ways of the order became a much more possible endeavour after meeting Paladin Stonehaft, a proud dwarven man who with some reluctance became her teacher.
