Personality

Hiero is one of those people who are all about keeping the past behind them and the present and future in clear view, for whatever reason. He's big into progress and takes pride in the people he works for. He's an excellent listener and astoundingly patient for a gnome, which is how he earned his position as a sort of usher/ambassador for the Steamwheedle Cartel. This man is very indulgent and shameless in his spending like any high-ranking Cartel member. He is not frugal and thinks one should live it up in their lifespan.

History

Because of his personality, Hiero wasn't popular with the Alliance. Employed as a bank manager of the once glorious Gnomeregan, he couldn't stay out of trouble. Suspicions arose when citizens saw not only the bank getting pimped out in wonderful decorum, but Hiero's own home and wardrobe... on the expense of member's accounts. Hiero got a hard boot and was in severe debt. (which he has not paid back this day)

Instead of facing the music and working things off, thus resulting in him being, well "sad," he opted to venture out to a land where the money flowed and no questions were asked. Ever. Though animosities sometimes run high between Goblins and Gnomes, a mutual interest in intelligence, technology, materialism, and money helped Hiero, like many other Gnomes, get his foot in the door.

Armed with his management and recruitment skills, Hiero was eventually appointed as one of the recruiters and marketers for Steamwheedle's forces. While rocky times have befallen the world, and many may seek refuge, Hiero's ability to keep his heartstrings from being tugged too hard without seeming outright cold helped separate the potential profits from potential pangs to a neutral stance.
