History

Alignment: Neutral, with Good tendencies.

Harravorn tends to be quite quiet and contemplative, content to listen to others and take a back seat – unless he believes his input would be useful, or his advice is explicitly sought. Unfortunately, many elves find it easy to look down on the younger races, and he is no exception. Contrary to his respectful demeanour when dealing with his own kind, draenei or to a lesser extent – the tauren - in the company of other races, he can come across as quite patronising, viewing them as little more than careless children.

History

Having been born about a century after the war of the ancients, Harravorn was raised in a society divided. On the one hand there were the remnants of the Highborne, reluctant to relinquish their magical gifts – and on the other were the rest of the Kal'dorei, fascinated by the new druidic power and determined to avoid further conflict. His mother and father were of the latter, a bowyer and a sentinel. As time went by, he was encouraged by his parents to study the ways of a druid, who believed that their son could be destined for greatness: a common belief amongst the elves when one of their kin had amber eyes. However, he was reluctant, preferring to pursue artistic activites such as woodcraft.

At one point in his youth, he was romantically involved with the daughter of two highborne, Quelizsha. Although they felt their love was true, when discovered by their respective parents, it sparked a serious confrontation between two small groups – about eight members of each faction. The ensuing conflict saw many injured, including each of the couple's parents. The relationship ended there by mutual agreement, so as not to provoke more of such riots.

Harravorn's father could not let this incident be forgotten, and was often seen afterwards antagonising Highborne, eventually offending a magus who seared him badly. His father expired of his serious burns, inspiring both a serious hatred of the arcane and a determination to study curative magics in his son, who finally went to Moonglade to study druidism. Displaying particular aptitude for healing and choosing the totem of the storm crow, he ministered to a great number of hunters and sentinels injured out in the wild forests of northern Kalimdor, eventually entering the emerald dream.

He spent many long centuries in the dream alongside his druidic brethren, growing close to nature and only waking in times of great strife, such as the eventual tragic neccessity of the Highborne's exile, the war of the shifting sands, and the third war. He did what he could in these conflicts, giving support to the sentinels and the more powerful druids of the claw in the form of healing, scouting and message carrying. He was wounded quite badly in the battle of Hyjal, and retreated to the dream to recover once Archimonde was defeated. As such, he took no part in the raising of Teldrassil, and remained dormant until recently. Rather than being wakened for a specific purpose, his spirit had been wandering the dream as it ever did, when it was set upon by agents of the nightmare, tearing away fragments of his being. He awoke in his barrow den weakened and frantic, and has since been adjusting to the new lay of the waking world.
