Gundhor uses the bulkiest, largest and most intimidating looking armor available to him. Often red and orange with a magma look to it, his helmet usually has long horns and an intimidating face that conceals his real face, designed to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents. He carries a very large two-handed axe, or rarely a hammer in each hand depending on the occasion.

Personality

Gundhor, despite his huge, hulking appearance, is actually a very intelligent and tactful Tauren. He would not rush into a fight he knows he can't win unless it benefited the effort somehow. He is a good strategist and leader, and does well in commanding positions, when he is in them. He is brave and headstrong, with an iron will, and is not afraid to take charge and put himself at risk. However, this can also be a flaw as he'll often refuse to back down when he's challenged. When someone is unfair or dishonorable, he may even lose his logical side and his temper, and this loss of grasp is one of his downfalls, for if he gets too angry, he doesn't function quite as well as he should.

He is not good nor evil, he relies only on honor and glory alone to keep him going; his morals being that only the strong will survive in this world, and the weak will perish. Even though most Tauren are pacifist, his long history of violence and fascination with it leaves only a shred of that remaining, though he still maintains his diplomatic side when needed.

History

Gundhor was born in Mulgore, in one of the many moving tent cities of the nomadic Tauren. It was during the heat of the endless war against the Centaurs that he was raised in and his elders taught him from a young age how to fight, hunt, and survive so he could one day provide for himself. He excelled at this, and found he was a natural at fighting and physical activities. In his youth, he became fascinated with battle tactics and wars; it was less of a reckless fantasy, more of a genuine interest in this side of life and its ways. He never really got along with the others his age, but that seemed to go right over his head. His only focus was that he was to play a great part in the wars of this world one day, much to the distaste of his peace-loving brethren.

As soon as he was of age, Gundhor took up arms against the Centaur forces. His parents had recently been killed by them, and he was filled with a passionate hatred for the Centaur; it wasn't a dream anymore, it was real, and now it was personal for Gundhor. In battle, he slew many foes, and became known for his prowess in combat. The decades went by like this, with Gundhor fighting and fighting the Centaur, he became battle-worn and almost used to the death and destruction.

At the age of 47, Gundhor was certain that he would not live to see the end of the conflict against the Centaur. But then arrived the Orcish Horde, who as many already know, assisted the Tauren in driving the Centaur back and defeating them finally. Gundhor was forever in debt of the Horde, coming to believe they were the one true salvation against all threat. He joined the Horde himself, and vowed to fight for them from that day on.

The Third War came to Azeroth, as is written in the history books. Gundhor was always there, fighting against the new threat, the Scourge. He had moved to the Eastern Kingdoms to fight with the Horde, and though he had thought for all his life that the Centaur were a terrifying threat; until he saw this. He had never seen anything like it, the undead, the forsaken that followed the Scourge's army blindly. He survived battle after battle, and as the Third War came to eve, the Horde were assisting the Alliance hold back the Scourge, and Gundhar was in battle alongside them, another fighter among many. He was feeling particularly confident this time, slaying foe after foe, even as they drew closer to their goal, Gundhor knew victory was inevitable.

It was year 27, in the Eastern Kingdom, during the Lich King's wrath that Gundhor was slain. He was fighting the Scourge alongside the Horde when it happened. He never saw it coming. In all his years, he had been successful in combat, and in a split second, he felt a numbness in his chest. He looked down to see the massive sword there, and all time seemed to slow down as the Scourge forces rushed past him, battling against the unified mortal races, Gundhor was still, realizing it was the end. He dropped to his knees, and collapsed.

Gundhor was, unfortunately, one of those who were resurrected as a Death Knight. He hardly remembered what he was before, having come so far from his roots in Mulgore, it had been so long since he was a peaceful Tauren in his homeland, and now he served the Lich King like all the others, treading the unfamiliar territory of the Eastern Kingdom. He fought battle after battle, like before, only this time he was on the side of his own enemy. But Gundhor was not Gundhor anymore. The old Gundhor was killed in battle, this was a Death Knight, a shadow of what he once was. During this time he grew in his power as a Death Knight, maintaining his brute force and using his new abilities to compliment it.

Gundhor's present story begins when the Lich King was defeated in Light's Hope Chapel. He will always be a Death Knight, the only difference being that he regained his will, still remaining part of the Ebon Blade, but moving out of the Lich King's old territory to assist the Horde war effort against the Alliance.

Now 57, the aged warrior had barely lost his edge. He joined the Bloodsworn Honorguard, and brought back his old vow to fight for the Horde and only the Horde until the end.

Skills and Abilities

Brute Strength -

Gundhor is a very large Tauren, with a powerful build and strength greater than that of the average bear. He feels more comfortable in plate armor than most people, and can lift, break and throw very heavy objects, such as small boulders and young tree trunks.

Commanding -

Gundhor's powerful presence may create morale for some, and he can often be seen leading the charge in a battle, using tactics and skill to compliment his strength. His size is like a large banner or totem that people rally behind, and he is a good leader.
