Appearance

Red leather clothings from his gloves, chest, and pants. His shoes are made of cloth, which he found more comfortable that leather boots. He also wears a black eyepatch.

Personality

Gromrok is a brutal, funny, loyal, and also a little "dumb" orc. He is short-tempered, and even small things like loosing a button from his shirt can drive him furious. That's when rum comes in, because he drinks rum a lot, to calm himself down but most of the times just to enjoy it. Gromrok is addicted to rum. One day without rum can also drive him crazy.

Gromrok has a good sense of humor, and he can make jokes out of almost anything. Sometimes when he wasn't making a joke, people still laughed out of his stupidity, like pouring rum on someone's face to wake them up and then go furious because his rum was gone.

He is most of all, loyal. He will obey who ever is in charge of him, even if that person is a small child. Nothing can make him betray his own master, except when the master betrayed him. Then he will stop at nothing for revenge.

Gromrok can be called "dumb" because of his careless mistakes and lack of the ability to understand people. For example, he might ask a Forsaken to join him with his drink, and the Forsaken would say that he/she can't drink nor eat. Gromrok would then ask them to join his meal instead, but still the Forsaken would say that it doesn't eat.

History

Gromrok was born in an interment camp, and he remembered the day his kind began to cross the sea clearly. He remembered how he was so looking forward for a place he can finally call home. Gromrok and his father settled down in Orgrimmar 7 years ago. His father was a sailor, but he never knew his mother though. All he knew about his mother was that she had an affair with his father and gave birth to him before the separated, so him and Gromrok was moved to another camp while his mother stayed in the same one. They never met her since.

His father didn't love Gromrok at all. He thought that Gromrok was a waste of time, waste of money, and very, very annoying. There was only one thing he liked about Gromrok, he liked it when Gromrok call him “father”.

Gromrok's father took him to work a lot. Gromrok knew everything about ships, how do they work, and how many crews do you need to sail a big ship, and a small one. Soon he was an expert on sailing, the captain liked him a lot because of his only one talent, sailing.3

Gromrok and the captain were best friends, even when he was 13 and the captain was 63, they hung out and talked and talked. Sometimes Gromrok called the captain “father”. Gromrok hardly ever spoke to his real father after since, because of his cruelness and harsh discipline, but unlike the captain who was kind, caring, and funny. His real father was annoyed by Gromrok, and Gromrok never called him “father” anymore which gave him no reason to like the child anymore.

When Gromrok was 19 the captain gave Gromrok his first mug of rum. Gromrok fell in love with rum since, and the captain gave that mug of his to Gromrok. On the handle of the mug wrote, “No ship can sail without rum” he loved that quote.

When Gromrok's father had enough of the captain and Gromrok, he decided to kill them both. With a dwarven gun, he shot the captain once, before aiming for Gromrok. The captain was a big tough orc, he didn't die because of one tiny bullet in his chest, he tackled down Gromrok's real father, saving Gromrok.

Gromrok's father was too, a big tough orc, they had an endless fight which Gromrok sat watching, shocked. Then suddenly the captain was stabbed with a sharp piece of wood. The captain wasn't slain with one stab, he tried to fight, but then was finished by Gromrok's real father in the neck with the same piece of wood.

Gromrok was too scared to do anything, but gathered his courage and grabbed the gun beside him and shot his real father right between the eyes. After the horrific event Gromrok never let go of the captain's mug and took the captain's last name as Gromrok Maulhammer.

A few years later, Gromrok decided to travel to Northrend, wanting to help Azeroth against the scourge. His ship stopped at Stranglethorn for supplies when the Pirates of La Calypso attacked it. They captured him; luckily the captain was low on crews and took him, and a few other cell mates into the crew. Gromrok became the swashbuckler, still, with the mug in his hands.
