Weight: 212 lb

Height: 4' 8"

Alignment: Neutral Good, Grimnir will not stand for any impiety, as he sees it shameful and cowardly. He will respect authority, as long as they appear to be acting for the right causes.

Appearance

Grimnir is rarely seen without armor on. He prefers to wear chainmail armor rather than plate, leather or cloth armor. He polishes and repairs his armor whenever he can. Grimnir carries around as big a shield as he can get his hands on, as well as whatever one-handed axe is lying around.

Other: Grimnir is quite an oddity. At first glance it would appear that he is quite old, as he has gray hair, and a ragged and wrinkled face. However he is only 86, which may be considered old to other races, but is barely an adult in dwarf culture. He also has a blueish tinge to his skin, which is rare for a dwarf, but not unheard of.

Personality

Grimnir is serious when compared to the other outgoing dwarves. He is also wary of meeting new people, especially those of other races. However, when he determines that they are not a threat, he will drop his caution and be much more friendly. Though he is serious, he never misses a chance to make jokes at other allies expense. He'll also crack a joke in dangerous situations to help ease his and others nervousness. He is very loyal, and looks out for others safety.

When going into battle, he does not rush in like a fool. He'll will always make a plan before hand, however in the heat of a battle, he may make rash decisions that may be unwise. He may also overestimate his fighting skills, which can leave him biting of more than he can chew. When meeting a member of the Horde, he will be hostile towards them, but won't make the first move. He'll listen if they want to talk, and even grant them guest rights, but his weapon will never leave his hands when they are nearby. He has a hard time hating his former Blood Elf allies, and even has some respect for the peaceful Taurin, but he has a sour taste in his mouth whenever he thinks of the Orcs, Trolls, or Undead.

Grimnir enjoys to travel and see new places. He has a basic liking of the nature around him, but this pales in comparison of The Night Elves or Taurin. However, he also gets homesick during his travels, especially with the absence of fellow dwarves and snowy mountains. He will try to avoid taking trips that last long periods of time, and will visit Dun Morogh regularly.

History

Grimnir Pointbellow was born an only child, in Kharanos, 59 years before the invasion of the Orcs. His father was a blacksmith, and his mother died only a few years after he was born. In his youth, Grimnir would spend his time hunting during the day, and working in his father's workshop in the evenings. When the Dwarfs joined the Alliance during the second war, Grimnir decide to take it upon himself to help in the defense of Dun Morogh. He ensured the safety of the mountain range, and also help in fighting back the trogg and troll invasion, as well as any horde foolish enough to enter the dwarven lands.

When Grimnir was 78 years old, his father was killed by an overly drunk dwarf. Grimnir tracked down the drunkard and killed him in cold-blood. Both his father's death and the slaying of a fellow dwarf caused Grimnir to go into a deep depression that lasted a year. During this time, he hid in the mountains and refused any outside contact. It was also during this time that he took on the name Frosthearth, to reflect his father's abandoned workshop.

After he recovered, he returned the Ironforge and surrendered himself to the guards. Once in captivity, he asked for an audience with Magni Bronzebeard. The king took symphony on him, and the two had a private meeting. No one knows what was said during the meeting, but Grimnir was released, and free of punishment. He hastily began to prepare for a long trip, which would mark his first time leaving Dun Morogh. He was seen leaving the Loch Modan area, but no one knows where he went from there, or what he did. He returned soon after, and made several other trips, always meeting with Magni upon his return. Some have speculated that he is an agent for the dwarf king, doing various minor tasks for Magni and the Alliance, but this is just an assumption. When Grimnir is in Dun Morogh, he is either wandering around Ironforge, helping those he can, and talking with old friends, or assisting the small villages in the valley.
