Personality

Grandall tends to give most people a uneasy feeling. His presence usually frightens civilians and gives people the wrong impression. Grandall does always look angry, but he is actually not that bad of an Orc. He only acts tough so that he can keep his tournaments in order. If an outbreak started at one of his tournaments, he would run. If guards came to try to shut the tournament down, he would run. If anything jeopardized his organization, he would run. It is the Arena Guard’s job to handle the issue. Grandall, however, is very racist towards other Orcs. He hates himself for being one. His reasons why are explained in the history. If Grandall saw an Orc in the street, he would give them a dirty look, attempting to make them feel uncomfortable. If Grandall saw one in the arena, he would do everything in his power to make them have a greater chance of losing. He would call them names and try to anger them. If there was even an Orc in the audience, Grandall would mock them and call them a wimp for not joining the tournament. He never seems to be lustful. He doesn’t ever even think about getting a mate. This is because of his complete disgust with Orcs. Since he hates Orcs, he would never be able to be attracted to a female Orc. Not even mate with one just to continue his family line.

One thing about this curious Orc is that he is in fact curious. He is interested in how things work and how things are created. He likes to tinker with technology, as a Gnome would, and create things to better serve him as the Arena Master. He treats most people with the respect he is given. He treats others how they treat him, basically. Except for Orcs. He is always picking fights with them. Grandall seems big and scary at first look, but in reality, he is kind at heart. He tries to understand people by putting himself on their level, and talking to them. Though, once again, this all means nothing if they are an Orc.

History

When Grandall was just a small Orc child, he watched as his family and friends were slaughtered and his town burnt to a crisp. The raid on his village was run by a bunch of Orc raiders from a clan hideout nearby. Grandall's clan was in a terrifying war with them. All he remembers from that moment is his parents’ burnt bodies, and himself running away. As he ran, he looked around to find the village elder. The one person he idolized all his life. The person he knew could save his village. Then he saw him. He was running away from the village, abandoning the women and children. Abandoning Grandall. There was one thing that Grandall did not know. That very Elder was running to deliver a message. He was actually going to be the one that saved the village. Though, Grandall was young, and assumed very quickly. It is from that day on that Grandall started to hate not only Orcs, but the Horde. He realized that to him, it was a disgrace to be a part of it.

After Grandall’s village was burnt down, he managed to escape. He hid in a cave near the village for a few days, then traveled. He was only 15 years old at this time, and had very little knowledge on how to survive in the wild. He did however make sharp wooden blades and shields to survive. After a few years of living by himself, Grandall found a young female Orc. Her name was Ash’na. When Ash’na found Grandall, she was around 20 years old. She had also been from the village that burnt down. Grandall gave a friendly smile when they met, but it was forced. He had recently started his racism towards the Horde. Ash’na and Grandall traveled together for about a year. Grandall only did this to survive. He had a better understanding of survival tactics now that he was older. As soon as Grandall and Ash’na reached the portal to Azeroth, and were able to escape, Grandall turned to Ash’na, told her to get lost, and walked into the portal.

When the Orc race arrived on Azeroth, Grandall still kept away from them. He stayed away from Orgrimmar completely when it was founded, and didn't step foot near any fully Horde-owned city. He hunted in the woods to feed himself, and he ate almost anything he caught. No matter how gross it tasted. He didn't have much survival skills at first, but he eventually learned a lot by himself out in the wilderness. He did, however, watch other hunters from afar every few weeks at a creek near where he hunted. He knew that the hunters used that creek every few weeks as a gather point. These hunters were a group of Trolls, dark blue skin, and paint all over their bodies. Grandall didn't even know if they were on good terms with Orcs, so he liked to keep his distance and try not to be seen by them.

Grandall usually kept away from all the big events in history. Wars and the like. He usually kept to himself, and held fights in his arena. Until this day, Grandall has never fought someone. However, he trains every day on training dummies, just to be ready for when a fight does come his way. Though, when the Second War ended, Grandall lost even more hope in Orcs. Since they lost, he found them completely incompetent and idiotic. Though, it wasn't a big surprise since he didn't have much faith in Orcs at that time anyway.

Grandall created his arena organization near his later years. He become the first Arena Master in the history of ‘Wealth or Death’. When Grandall decided to start up the organization, he figured that he could one day die, but also be rich until that day comes. No matter who the challenger is, Grandall will accept if called out upon. He fights a fair fight, and doesn't even try to get himself killed. To him, why fight to die if you could just kill yourself? He was always against the thought of suicide, so throwing a fight would be almost the same thing. He wanted to die honorably, as an Orc. This could restore the honor of the Horde in his mind.

When Grandall held his first event, he made two Orcs fight against each other. These Orcs had trouble fighting, due to their respect to one another, but they managed to get through it. One holding victory over the other. Grandall did this to feel better about himself, but somehow in the end, he felt worse. Some day he hopes to be able to restore the honor that was lost from the assumption of the Elder running away, but until then, he will continue to hold fights to the death. Advertising that especially Horde members are 'welcome'.

Grandall always wanted to be a Shaman as a kid. Before his town was raided, he even wanted to start the training that year. Though, he lost all hope in becoming a Shaman when he lost all hope in his fellow Orcs. He still one day wishes to become a Shaman, but first he will have to get over his grudge with Orcs and The Horde.
